just some feedback for your business ;…read more I had an Appointment with Johnney Fade I'm trying to understand why I am making an appointment on Booksy and when I get there 1 someone is in the chair ( ok fine ) but then you telling me I gotta wait another 20 for some else after the person in the chair to get there cut when I am schedule for 9:30; very unprofessional if there was a delay you owe it to the customer to update the Booksy and let them know the appt has been pushed back ; this is the second time this has happened; at least shoot a text inform the customer before they get there that you are behind schedule ; the fade game prides it self on being the most reliable barbershop and from the experience I've had it's not at all ! First off, scheduling and payment including tip is done through style seat so no exchange of cash and waiting for change. The shop is clean and tidy. Tip was very helpful in helping me achieve my desired look and even gave me tips for styling tips at home. This place is a great, hole in the wall, barbershop. It's owned by Dominicans and I don't know what it is with Dominican stylists and hair, but they always seem to work magic. I have been looking for an affordable barber for my 5 year old, who will not only be okay with giving cuts to younger kids but will do an amazing job. Boy has that process been a long and hard one. I always found these kid friendly places charged way to much for cuts and didn't do a good job even though they specialize in kids cuts. To my pleasant surprise, and a bit of a gamble, this place has become that spot. Yes! $10 bucks for a fresh cut for my boy and they know how to manage him to make him feel comfortable, very happy with that! It's a small place so it's easy to miss. Parking is horrible, I usually travel with my husband and he waits in the car but there are ample buses in the area and it's not that far from the Jamaica Station's E, J, and Z trains. The place doesn't have much room to move around and is always packed because they do such and awesome job with their cuts except for one guy who I don't go to anymore. I seriously forgot his name but he sits four chairs from the entrance of the place. The guy I normally go to is Joel, he's fast, does a great job, and comfortable with my son and my son is comfortable with him. He's the third seat from the entrance. The place is a mess honestly with all the hair all over the place. They do sweep but they have such a high turn around with their cuts that it's hard to keep up. I don't care about that because it's just hair and that's how barbershops are but I know that there are some parents out there that may freak out because of this. Although it's a Dominican joint, they service everyone. This place is very popular with the locals. Be sure to bring cash because it's cash only. Anyway, if you need a clean cut or shape up, check this place out.
