But Richard's massage was different than others. It focused on releasing trigger points which are often the cause of chronic pain, with which I sometime struggle. He is personable, a good listener and responds quickly to requests during treatment to address specific areas of discomfort and does so really effectively! I have found myself having more lasting relief after seeing him and am trying to fit more frequent sessions with him into my schedule since I can already see how more regular treatment can bring my discomfort level down on a more permanent basis. This is all at a sterile, fluorescent-lit doctor's office! I knew that if she paid that much attention to the details in a medical environment where it wasn't necessary, she'd be mind blowing in her own healing space. I've had many massages in my life and I like deep pressure, but what feels good may not necessarily be what is good for the body. In some cases it can even cause more harm.
