My son and I go there wall the time for haircuts. The guys are very good with my son. They have a drawer filled with candy for the kids getting hair cuts. The hair cuts are very consistent. Which is what I look for in a good barber. I would recommend this place to anyone they are awesome. The only thing I could say negative about them is that they charge me full price for a haircut for my son who is only 2 1/2 ... All and all very clean and great place. read more

They do not listen to the way you want your hair cut. Guy seems to catch an attitude problem right after he asks you how to cut your hair. I was stuck going hear because my regular place was closed. Should of been a hint when the first two guys got up with the same cut. That is all he knows how to do. Stay away unless you are just looking for an uneven head shaving. read more

The barbers here should quit their jobs. I brought my two sons here Saturday March 30th, 2019. I requested a low fade on my youngest and a shape up for my oldest. The low fade was more like a tape up and it wasn't even blended and the shape up was uneven and sloppy. My oldest has really long hair all I wanted was a shape up! These motherfuckers trimmed his hair and fucked it up! They made it wayyy too short in the front. These motherfuckers are obviously not real barbers and they spoke some foreign language like Russian the entire time. I don't have anything against that but I should of known they know nothing about fades and shape ups. Smh I didn't realize it until his mother saw his hair and told me about it. Drew cleaned me up perfect. I was skeptical of using a different barber seeing how I've used the same guy for 8 years. I happened to be in NY for work and needed to get cleaned up. After some research I gave this joint a shot. I give it 5 stars. Drew took his time fading and even trimmed up my brows.. first time I've even thought about doing that.. This barbershop is something else. I have traveled to this area for a year, due to work. I came here more then a dozen times this passed year. The owner cut my hair everytime. We held conversations multiple times during cuts but never remembered me. Not customer friendly. I feel they lac the skill of knowing how to do tapes and fades. If you have a beard it's even worse. Went here for a quick beard trim. There was one guy in front of me getting a hair cut. The barber working on him gave him a haircut for about 45 minutes that should have took about 15. Living in Manhattan, I went to Astor for years. If you go, see Dominick! An artist. If you're headed to The Rockaways, passing through Howard Beach heading to the Ocean, and want a sharp cut as good as Astor, see Oleg. Really nice guy. As Astor is a factory with appts. stacked like planes coming into JFK, Oleg spends double the time, with goatee trimming/shaping and a straight edge neck cleaning. Oh and pay no mind to the one Star idiot and his 'Russian' nonsense. A lot of dads bringing their sons for cuts on Saturdays, so consider calling ahead if you're pressed for time. Street muni-meter parking that you must watch the clock, as those car tax collectors are all over Cross Bay Blvd. Oh, and enjoy the sights as 'Handsome Vinny' and 'Slicked Back Anthony' may pop by before paying someone a visit. read more

Decided to give this place a chance as my regular barber (who I'll remain going to) had a family emergency. I sat in one of the barbers chairs immediately as it was slow and they were able to accommodate as soon as I walked in. I remember the Barbers name but won't disclose here. The cut I received was mediocre at best as this barber seemed to have jello hands as he was operating his sheers and clippers. Granted, maybe he's new to this barber life ok. Then came the beard shape up!! After going over my preference with how I like it shaped he did the total opposite and didn't even leave it razor sharp. Some areas didn't even get the blade at all. Ok maybe with time it could've gotten better. BUT Then the nerve of these a-holes charging me 16 for my cut then an additional 10 for my beard; totaling 26 dollars for a cut, that was at best supercuts quality let alone nyc barber shop!! that's where I felt "the buck stops here enough is enough!" I understand why they've changed their shops name twice in the past. I lived all over nyc and the average median price for a barbershop cut is between 15-20 dollars without tip. These amateurs have absolutely no idea how to leave their client feeling then having the audacity to charge Manhattan salon prices for a cut with the quality of a barber SCHOOL. How dare they!!!!!!! This teaches me never to trust another barber and to just wait it out if I can't see my regular. If you're looking for a great barber shop please go to "The HUSTLE" on hillside avenue in Queens and sit in my man Angels chair. All the barbers there have the razor sharp skills and cutting techniques down to a science and they charge between 15 to 20 beard included!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! leave new times alone. read more
