Wanted to like this place so much more but unfortunately had several issues being: 1. Service. Our waitress forgot about us and we waited 1.5 hours just for food. Worst part is that she refused to acknowledge it and when asked about the status she said they were putting the toppings on our sandwiches. Eventually the manager said something, and we got 25% off, but it wasn't worth a quick brunch turned into an entire afternoon. 2. Order came out wrong. Not only was the wait forever, but our order was wrong after being delivered. 3. The few things I wanted to order were out of stock. I had met the owners at a previous Yelp event and had been quite excited to go. I live 6 hours away, so I always mention coming here when I'm in town. After a year of trying to go, we finally make it here and unfortunately the experience was bad. The pros: Pretty aesthetics. Good wine selection.

Charcuterie board was delicious and plentiful. The wine wall is such a treat and unique. Our food took a while to come out and our server was so kind and made sure we were accommodated for the inconvenience (though we hardly noticed because it's such a great place to have conversations with friends). The place is chic and well lit.

We had a wonderful experience brunching at Strigo. We started with the cheese board which had a great selection of cheeses and warm fresh baked focaccia, and the blueberry black currant lavender mimosas. The mimosas were so good I would have ordered another, if I weren't looking forward to trying out the wine wall! I also had the brunch crepes which were delicious and the perfect portion size. The rest of my table had the steak and eggs, the eggs Benedict, and the cinnamon roll, and everyone was very impressed. Small details like the potatoes with the steak and eggs and the syrup used in the cinnamon roll really stood out. We also tried a variety of wines from the wine wall. I loved the concept and the opportunity to try a variety of wines, especially Italian wines which I am less familiar with. One suggestion I would have to improve the wine wall would be to have information on the tasting notes or characteristics of each wine. The service was also very quick and friendly, and the space inside was very well designed. I'd love to come back to Strigo again!

I came here with a group of 3 to enjoy some wine and have a nice afternoon and boy am I happy we stopped in! I really loved the concept where you get to choose the wine you want and get the oz. Then you pay for what you drink. It was a nice way to try a lot of wines without having too much to drink. The folks inside were very friendly and quick to explain how everything worked. The layout was beautiful and I only have great things to say. I highly recommend a stop in!

Overall our group really loved this place tucked away in Plainville. I did give 4 out of 5 stars because of a couple things. The first being the prices. There were 4 in our group and we split the bill, with each couple having to pay over $100! I enjoy the concept of going up to choose your wine and pour size but it certainly adds up quick. The food was amazing but also very pricey. The second reason for 4 stars is the wine selection. There are many different bottles to choose from but the majority of them originated in Italy. I would have loved to see some more local wines as well as a German Riesling. I will definitely be back again soon :)

Fancy place with wines from around the world. For the wine tasting, you pick a glass and go up to the wall and pick the wine you want. There is 3 options for most of the wines: a small taste, half filled and a full pour. The prices varies per sample and per wine. Some wines can be on a cheaper side and some can be more expensive. We went for the New Years Eve dinner. Food was good but it was pretty small portions for the price (only reason for 4 star review). The place is quite pretty with a nice upstairs area and a very modern bathroom. If you like wine it's a different tasting experience that you would likely enjoy. Would make a great spot for a first date too.

There aren't enough adjectives to describe how wonderful the new Strigo Vineyard is! My friends and I visited on opening day (10/3/20) and were blown away by the experience. We vowed almost immediately that we'd be back. The location is beautiful, out in the country with peaceful surroundings. The vineyard is right next to the winery so when you pull into the parking lot you get to see the fields of vines alongside the new barn/winery and the Strigo Farmhouse Inn where visitors can stay overnight. The new winery building is a rustic/modern barn. The woman at the front desk explained that much of the wood in the barn is from the original structure. It's gorgeous. The downstairs has about ten tables and the upstairs has about another ten. The décor is luxurious. Myself, my boyfriend, my best friend, and her husband were seated upstairs. The table had leather seats, not your typical restaurant chairs, that were super comfy and accented with gorgeous gold pillows. The ceilings were vaulted with intricate light fixtures and there was tons of natural light streaming through a massive window at the front of the building. It's a cozy winery that also serves a full dinner menu. Currently, it is reservation only, so make sure you call before going! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The menu is full of intricate and delicious sounding meals. We already had dinner plans for afterwards so we only ordered a cheese board, but let me tell you it was some of the best cheeses I have ever had. Don't get me started on the goat cheese spread! SO good!!! For the wines, the system they have for tasting and drinks is very unique. When you arrive you are given what looks like a credit card with a chip. This card creates your drink tab. So instead of the servers bringing you wine, you serve yourself. They have a wall on the first floor of glasses and all their wines in cases. Each case is glass front so you can see the bottle, and above it there is a digital system that has a slot where you insert your card (see the photos I posted for a visual). Once you insert the card, each wine has a little screen above it that shows the three size options and the different prices. So you can choose a quick taste, and couple sips, or a normal size glass. The prices all vary depending on the wine you choose and the size of the pour. You hold the glass under the spout and select your size and it fills your glass for you. There was a man standing with the wines who explained the process to you and told you about all the wines in each case. He was very helpful and could answer any questions you had. No wines were out of stock, if a bottle was empty it was quickly replaced so you could try it. They had dozens of options to choose from and the serve yourself system is a great idea. This frees up the servers to be more attentive to food orders and allows customers the opportunity to take their time and refill their wine as they please. When you are ready to leave you go to the front desk and simply hand in your card which will tell them how much you spent on wines. This will be combined with any food you may have purchased and you pay for it then and there. When we went to leave there was a small hiccup with my friend's card being charged and the full amount didn't go through. We weren't upset at all, what business doesn't have issues on the first day open? The best part is they were quick to figure out the issue and thanked us repeatedly for being patient and understanding on their first day. There was not a disappointing moment during our visit. Our experience was nothing short of perfect and we will be back again soon! We highly recommend Strigo Vineyards to anyone and everyone! It's worth every penny!!!

We were hoping to go to Strigo when they first opened, but reservations quickly filled up so we waited until November and were able to easily reserve a Saturday afternoon time. We arrived full as we had eaten lunch at a nearby restaurant, but enjoyed the shareable toasted almonds just the same. We eyed the meat Alan's cheese boards, which we were told change frequently, and will be sure to skip eating next time we go. We came close to ordering the amazing dessert board but we felt we could not do it justice and passed ....this time. Both levels are appealing and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly, attentive, accommodating, and knowledgeable. It is refreshing to have someone to provide a more in depth description of the available wines, many of which are from Italy, some are from local wineries. There are several style glasses to choose from depending on preference and wines you drink. As much as I enjoy experiencing new wines, sometimes I like one enough I'd like to just have a glass and relax without further tasting, and the selection and choice is all mine. Variety of wines from whites to reds offers plenty to choose from, bubbly, reds, whites, dry to sweet and price range from inexpensive to rare and priced accordingly. Nicole M gave much of the details in her Yelp review and I agree with her summation and our experience was excellent as well! We will return more than once and bring others as well.

I'm not sure if customers are able to walk the vineyards because it was raining when we got there. We stopped in for wine tastings - $20 for the preset menus and $25 for selecting your own wines. The tasting includes 4 wines and I thought the pours were generous. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey to share and it was delicious. The service at the vineyard is a little strange because we sat in the main room upon entry but were told to go pick up our pizza in a different room. Thankfully they weren't very busy and the sweet lady that poured our wine ended up bringing the pizza over to us. They have 3 or 4 different rooms you can sit in. We chose the main room with both low top and high tops, one room had a fireplace to snuggle up next to in cooler months, and then the outdoor seating where they had live music allowed you to feel the breeze and see some views. The wine was good - our favorite of the day being the Cayuga White so we purchased a bottle to share which is a much better deal than buying by the $12 glass. This is a great place to hangout with friends or go on a date. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon but steady and very enjoyable. We played cards while we sat and drank and it was a wonderful time.

We opted to not order food since service was slow on this day and the staff were not very friendly. Overall this is a nice place with great wines and views, but I just wish the customer service was a bit better!

My sister and I took part in their wine-making class with their red varietals and it was so much fun! We got to make our own bottle of wine and then drink it with lunch! Both Nancy and Kit, the owners, were so knowledgable and made the entire experience fun and one of a kind! Lunch itself, I had rather low expectations of, but the pasta with beef was actually really tasty! Nice and al dente and the vegetables were also superb! We did some more tastings after- loved the ice wine and the chardonnay (Waterfall)! Waterfall was perhaps my favorite wine (I'm partial to white wines). It was so unique! Come support the smaller wineries!!! They are much more in touch with their grapes and the whole process from start to finish. It was really interesting that they just decided to make a random icewine one year- which is likely something that would not have happened on a larger winery. Overall, I cannot recommend Bet the Farm Winery more. Everyone must go! Truly a phenomenal experience!
