So I have tried various indoor ranges in and around the Cleveland and Akron area. This one is the best for my needs, which is a high velocity rifle. And for purposes of this review, that simply mean .223, 5.56, 30-00 and 7.62. The staff, while not overly friendly, were not condescending and were very professional. They were able to talk me through some supplies I was looking for to find what I needed at the best price. Their ammo is about in line with other stores and they do not seem to be out to gouge you. The range is a little hard to find in the maze of the industrial buildings, but I have to admit I drove past it once. read more

A buddy and I visited First Strike indoor range yesterday and we had a great time. The owner's wife, Leah manages the place and she was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. The cost to spend a couple of hours there is a great value. I believe it was $15 for a stall and you could stay in it as long as you like - no time limit. They have guns you can rent from them to try out as well as a lot of other equipment and gear for purchase. Just a great couple of hours. I highly recommend First Strike. read more

I come here every once in a while and I enjoy shooting at their range. For only $15 you can shoot as long as you want. The staff is really friendly too. I bought a front grip and a stock for my AR-15 and one of the staff installed it for me and I didn't even ask him too. Overall a good experience here. 11/10 would go back again read more

Strike Sports and First Strike indoor range is a nice place to go shooting. The lane fees are a flat rate with no time limit so one can enjoy target practice without rushing. They allow shotguns although you must shoot slug rounds. It is also an ideal range for indoor rifle practice. It is a decent drive from Cleveland although worth it to not have to deal with the arrogance and pain that is associated with the Stonewall range. Great Lakes Outdoor Supply is close if you want to make a day of nice shopping and utilizing your 2nd Amendment rights as an American. read more

This is the best indoor range in northeast Ohio I have ever been to. The employees are respectful, the range goers are always friendly, and the range is kept very clean, and is very well lit and seemingly well ventilated. As an added bonus they sell their range reloads for pretty cheap. Regular factory ammo is as cheap as you'd find at Walmart or any online store. They have a decent selection of pistols on display in the front for rent as well as a decent selection of accessories throughout the store. Decent, not massive. Ive never had any problems with the employees there. Which is hard to say for other ranges. They don't come back to the range to check on you or hassle you, they just view you through a window to the front every once in awhile. I rented a few .22 caliber guns from them and ended up buying one of them. And I won't say they are willing to negotiate on pistol prices, but they are appreciative if you pay in cash. Prices seem to be typical or slightly above normal (but still below msrp). Targets are cheap too. And for 15$ range time flat rate its hard to beat. Go there you wont regret it. read more

I started coming here as soon as they opened, as it's an easier drive for me than their Eastlake location. Like at Sherwin, the entire staff have proven to be knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The only exception is if they observe you doing something unsafe, but even then they're more professional than I would be. Whether you're a beginner or a long time enthusiast, there's something here for you. HIGHLY recommend for new shooters. They're genuinely interested in getting you in to the right gun for you, and not condescending like I've observed at another range. read more

I have shot all over the place in Ohio. Indoor and outdoor. I just love this place! I believe Sherwin shooting off Vine street is the parent company. The staff are very caring to your shooting needs and attentive to getting a perfect fit to you and your weapon of choice. The value is incredible as you can shoot for a long time under $20, whereas other places you pay per hour. The stalls are more modern and up to date as the place is under 5 years old. Nice selection of the entry and mid level priced weapons. They even offer a membership price that is very reasonable. Highly recommend for all ages and shooting styles. I was excited to hear about a range opening in Geauga County - until I tried it out. Zero supervision of the range - even with obviously young shooters in the lanes. It was only afterwards that I discovered that this is the same folks that own Sherwin Shooting in Eastlake which has been plagued by accidents and problems.
