I really try to support small gun stores when I am looking at new firearms, accessories, or for ammo. Sometimes I don't mind paying a little extra to support them, but it's hard to support a business that is going to charge $1/round for cheap military target grade 9mm ammo. Yes, I understand the ammo shortage, but I will remember this when purchasing anything in the future. Instead of trying to help out the local supporters of your business during an ammo shortage, they instead are taking full advantage of their customers. I can pay $50 a box at Silverado or $15 a box at big name store. Update: Man I must have really hurt some feelings, no need to get all butt hurt. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! It is refreshing to deal with an honest, knowledgeable, friendly business. I brought in a WWII trench gun with bayonets. After looking at the gun and its markings I was told it had all the right markings. Steve told me he could give me $200.00 for it....but I would be upset with him when I found out the true value. It is a rare gun, and told me to take it to Gunrunner Auction in Burton, Ohio they hold an on line auction every month. At Gunrunner Auction I received the same response..... They were excited to see it!! I believe the auction starts on the 7th of the month and each lot of 50 run for 2 weeks. While in the past I have had good experiences with Silverado Arms, today I stopped by to pick up some small items (forget ammo-sold out) and there were FOUR clerks behind the counter and none of them were wearing masks in the midst of a mandatory statewide mask order and increasing COVID 19 infections. Their reasoning was that were I to purchase a gun, I would have to drop my mask to allow them to check my photo ID! How that excuses them from protecting customers and each other I can't imagine. I've seen crazy rationalization, but that shows exceptional ignorance. read more

I picked up an order today and could not be more pleased with the customer service. There was a very comfortable waiting area where I could fill out paperwork, and the staff were very courteous. The gentleman who assisted me was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting ammo. He was also kind enough to offer some basic tips for newbie gun owners that were extremely helpful. Recently my friend of six years purchase me a firearm for surviving cancer we stop being friends and she came back to my house taking the stuff she left behind including my A.R. 15 she got me for surviving cancer I didn't want to jam her up and call the police for taking my rifle instead I thought I would wait for her to come to her senses or eventually it would surface in fact it did she took it back to the place she bought it Silverado arms I went in there Thursday asked him if he had any left-handed A.R. 15's he said yes I have one that a girl brought in I asked her if this was her name and he said yes I then asked if he took credit cards he again said yes I told him I will be back tomorrow when your doors open with my credit card to purchase that firearm he said not a problem it will be here. I went back only to encounter a not so helpful disrespectful gray-haired man with a mouthful of chewing tobacco and he said he sold it to his brother. I got upset thinking that the rifle is being held for me to come back and get it being so personal to me for surviving cancer I then again asked him if he can call his brother so we can get my rifle back he said he's not really my blood brother I don't know if he's a gang member or not it's kind of weird to me but anyways The rifle I received for surviving cancer is long gone and the place does not seem to care which is a shame I Fought for my country so we can have the right to bare arms I didn't want to get anybody in trouble with the law about reporting it stolen so I will take one for the team and not report it. it is what it is I guess but beware these people are dishonest people they don't care about you or your business they just care about your credit card numbers and the cash in your pocket you're all sheep to them read more
