I have been getting Brazilian waxes by Alexandra since 2016, first when she had her own location in Culver City, then when she had a residency in a salon in Culver City/Palms, and now with her doing house calls. Because I've known her for for a decade, I can say she is trustworthy enough to invite into my home to do the waxes. She is extremely professional, clean, skilled, nice, honesty, prompt, and efficient. I've only tried 1 other wax place once and it was nowhere near as good as what Alexandra can do. She uses hard wax and disposable wooden sticks, and has her own table that she brings for her house calls. I have multiple friends who also work with Alexandra for their waxes, and I'm so thrilled that she moved back to California! I cannot recommend her services strongly enough. read more

I highly recommend Alexandra for waxing, specifically Brazilian wax. This was my first time and I went in SUPER nervous and scared because I've heard horror stories about the pain but once I arrived I was overly comfortable and the pain was minimal. Every review for this place is 5 stars? There's no way! I find that truly hard to believe. Alexandra destroyed my eyebrows. Now I get to walk around for weeks - months looking completely ridiculous and embarrassed because its done, I can't glue them back to look decent. See pics. Right off I told her I wanted them "cleaned up, don't make them skinny because that's not how my brows grow, just tidy up around the edges". When she was done and handed me the mirror I couldn't believe she thought this was OK. I expressed my unhappiness and she started talking about what she could do to make them better and that's when I should have got up and walked out however, not wanting to walk out of there looking ridiculous I let her go at it. I told her not to touch the one brow that was now only connected by a slim section in the middle. Mistake, now the other one is super skinny on the outside half and not even. She said she wasn't going to charge me. Well that's just great after the butcher job she did. She had me lay on a table and she stood behind/over my head to work. I asked her how she does brows like that because I've never had anyone do that. Normally they work from the front because after all that's where the brows are and they need to move around checking their work as they go to make sure everything is looking right. That didn't seem right to me but she said "this is how I have to do brows". Maybe she's great at bikini or back waxing but I do not recommend her services at all. The place is not modern or clean. It's a tiny, tiny, old office space she's filled with a few pieces of old furniture. Maybe there are 2 rooms in there but I only remember one. There was a dog running around, dog bones on the floor....I love animals so that's not the problem. The carpet looked dirty. When I laid on her table I asked her if she wanted me to remove my shoes and she replied "no, these (linens) are getting ready to come off and get washed". They looked dingy so I'm guessing she only washes the table coverings occasionally. Well, that's just gross. She's waxing peoples va-jay-jay's, backs, legs, brows, etc and she's not changing the sheets in between. That seems like a health violation to me. I did check and she is currently licensed and so is her business. It looks like she's been in business for less than the 5 years she told me she had been in that location. I didn't find her super friendly or chatty as others did. I assumed she was listening as I told her what I wanted, maybe not. She didn't play music as others mentioned and had no recommendations for me as I left. Had a really great wax appointment with Alexandra, my first appointment with her but not my first wax. Alexandra is very friendly and warm and makes you feel at ease right away. She chatted the whole time which I appreciated. She was gentle, thorough, and skillful and also fast, which is always a plus. I was in and out in under thirty minutes and she did a great job. Her space is private, cozy, and comfortable at the back of the beauty salon. The parking is super easy, there were spaces out front on the street but also parking behind the building in the structure. Alexandra was very accessible pre-appointment via text. Got back to me quickly and worked out a time with me easily. She was also flexible and let me know that her previous appointment had postponed and I took that earlier spot which worked better for me anyhow. So glad to have found a new wax girl, since the Wellness Spa closed I've been on the search for a new spot. read more

I went in to see Alex for a back waxing. I'm a relatively big fella, with a good amount of back/shoulder hair and was a few days away from a beachy vacation. So, naturally, I thought I'd get my first back-waxing so I could walk around confidently without my shirt on. Alex was super-accomodating and was able to fit me in on very short notice. Here are the things I care about when it comes to waxing, in descending order of importance: that the waxer actually gets the hair off (this might include tweezing the last bits if the wax doesn't cut it - hey, it's a detail i'm not interested in doing myself, that's why i'm paying!), that she's not so booked out that i have to rearrange my weekend to get in to see her, that the wax itself is as painless as possible, and that the waxer is a down-to-earth person who is not awkward or weird. Alexandra hits each of these things perfectly. She's super chatty and easy to get along with, efficient but takes the time to get the hair out (including tweezing and extractions of ingrowns if necessary!), immediately puts you at ease, and very available because she lives close to her salon. She also hits on the stuff I don't care as much about: the salon is spotless, she uses gloves (I mean, I care about general cleanliness, but I don't need something super antiseptic), there are candles, she uses after- products that soothe and help prevent ingrowns. Her prices are fair for the high quality of service. Which is to say, you're not going to get a $30 Brazillian, but it will also be less of a drive-through experience, and you'll be happier in the long run. I came in because she was well-reviewed on Yelp and available when I needed her, but I'll be a returning customer. Easy street parking for 7pm on a Thursday. read more

I have been to quite a few waxing spots in Los Angeles. Stripless Wax has an incredible aura. It is located in Rawk Body (I think that's the name on the building). The decor is very airy and clean. Alexandra does her work in the second floor inside the yoga studio/gym. Alexandra is very hospitable and has a great bed side manner. Her conversation and breathing techniques help relieve the pain of getting a Brazilian. The wax was a hard wax which I was all too familiar with. I have had several bad experiences with hard wax, but I have to say the experience was good overall. I found street parking and I was in and out within 30 minutes! read more

Alex is super sweet. I was going to queen bee and decided to try the hard wax instead. My skin is usually super irritated after queen bee from the soft wax and strips, but not an issue at all. And the pain with the hard wax is not nearly as bad with the soft wax!!! Alex introduced me to this coconut balm which I use all the time now and love! She texts me to remind me it's time to come in and she's super flexible when I can come in. When she is going to be gone she sends an email saying when she'll be out. She is super considerate!
