I'm a local to Az but working in NY for 6 weeks for Off Broadway; I was in need desperate need of weekly PT. After researching physical therapists near Gramercy, I took a chance on Strive and was not disappointed! So grateful for them! I have had 4 appointments and found these positive attributes: 1) Accept Insurance- such a plus honestly! They will pair medical procedure like acupuncture tire/cupping/ chiropractor with the 30 minutes sports massage. Very transparent with prices and what insurance does and doesn't cover. 2) Always on time and efficient! I've never waited more than 5 minutes 3) I've had 4 separate massage therapists, and each one was great! Not a bad sports massage to date Only negative Ive found is as much as I can see his positive intentions, Xing Xhang LAC acupuncturist seems to rush through his procedures. Specifically with acupuncture, patient is always left with the emergency button and after 3 visits, I finally asked what to do in the event of an uncomfortable needle or emergency and he THEN went and got an emergency button. Strive Total Wellness is AMAZING!! From the clean facility to the friendly receptionists and staff. Strive Total Wellness is a one-stop-shop that combines all the physical cares you need. They have chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseuses, trainers, nutrition, and physical therapists all in one place at their Midtown East location right out of the 6 train. I personally have been experiencing some lower back pain for almost a year due to improper postures and prolonged sitting. A family friend (who ran 10+ marathons) recommended Total Strive Wellness and Dr. Tiffany and my experiences so far have nothing but spectacular! I saw Dr. Tiffany Gunawardena and her colleagues, Dr. Michael Natal, Dr. Zhang, and have had massages from Christina and Zach for about two months. During my first session, someone from the front desk explained to me how my insurance works. After that, each session was a combo of chiropractic care with either massage, acupuncture and or PT as I progress in my journey. One thing I notice and appreciate the most is that the doctors have their share of/personal experiences with pain before. This makes them great doctors, as they can understand and sympathize with the patients. Coupled with their experiences and expertise, this makes them so exceptional! Dr. Tiffany has helped my back tremendously during the last two months. She has provided tips that made my work from home office ergonomic, improved my sleeping environment, recommended supplements, as well as analyzed what sports (and how much) I should and shouldn't do. Dr. Michael Natal really understands and has had a lot of experiences treating back conditions such as mine. He was able to pinpoint and massaged out my knots and significantly improved my pain, in addition to teaching me the core exercises. After two months, one of the most obnoxious knot that was lingering in my lower right back has dissolved. I woke up this morning feeling like a new person. Dr. Deo is an absolute pleasure to be treated by. I have had chronic back pain for years now with no underlying medical condition. I tried many different treatments and remedies, but nothing worked. It was not until i started dry needling that i for once in my life found some kind of hope and regained a little confidence. Dr. Deo is easy to talk to, personable and she answers all my questions. Combined with Dr. Deo's treatment, Dr. Tan has been excellent chiropractor teaching me breathing techniques and strategies to keep my core engaged. I can't speak to their medical therapy because I was put off before even setting an appointment. I first made a request an insurance check on their website. They emailed back confirming my status, and asked for my availability which is reasonable. But then not even one day goes by, and they go and book appointments (4 of them, mind you) without talking to me. And then called my phone twice leaving voicemails to call them back. I have had horrible TMJ my whole life and Dr. Lea Cloribel has made it not only feel better but also helped me understand what I can do to prevent it. It's strange to get PT on your jaw since it involved a stranger massaging the inside of your mouth but Dr. Lea made me comfortable since day one. I look forward to seeing her every time, she is so kind & fun to be around! Truly feel seen and heard by her. My insurance isn't accepted there sadly but their cash rate is $75 a visit and I do not mind paying that much for the amount of pain relief. I also have to take two trains and bus to get there but it is WORTH IT which is saying something for a NYer!! Everyone I've interacted with there is so nice, the rooms are always clean and incredibly comfortable. Definitely will go here for all my future needs of PT. read more

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! I've been going to Strive for almost three years now. I was referred by a co-worker, who raved about acupuncture with Johnson. Over the years, he has treated me for a variety of ailments- insomnia, anxiety/stress, constipation, appetite control, back pain. He is absolutely amazing and truly dedicated to his clients and their overall well being. Their massage therapists are also awesome. I get weekly massages with Shu, who I highly recommend. He's able to consistently treat the exact areas of my lower back and shoulders that are the most achey and sore. He's truly a master of his craft. With very little prompting, he somehow always knows which exact muscles are hurting the most that day. I've also gotten massages from Samantha and Amy, who are also great massage therapists as well! Strive has taken all of the post-Covid precautions necessary and I've definitely felt safe since returning. read more

I am so glad that I found STRIVE! Finally a one-stop-shop with excellent holistic care. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and it feels like I am a member instead of a patient. I go in for 3 types of treatment (chiropractic, acupuncture, and TPI). Dr. T and Dr. Tiffany (chiropractors) are wonderful and take the time to listen and understand my pain issues. They also provide exercises to help strengthen the body in addition to adjustments. Johnson the acupuncturist is great and has been helping me with pain, digestion, and stress. He is easy to talk to and incorporates multiple types of treatment (needle acupuncture, cupping, herbs, nutritional advice). Dr. Deo the physician has helped address my muscular pain with deep tissue treatment as well as trigger point injections. Bottom line: Go.Here.Yesterday. It's hands down the best. Long winded review: I have been seeing a chiropractor since I was an infant. I have scoliosis and a few other complications that involve my back, neck and hips. Since I've been going forever, and because I work as a nurse, I have really high standards for what I want and expect in a practice, especially one in which I'm trusting my spine with. When I moved to NYC I was really discouraged trying to find a practice that was reputable, didn't push products or services and where I felt confident and comfortable with. I had tried 3 places prior that were busts. One even tried to tell me I needed to undergo surgery and have a series of injections after only 2 visits. (Watch out for places like this). Fate was on their A-game and I stumbled across Strive Total Wellness and I truly can't say enough positive things about this place. The staff is incredible. They are knowledgeable, kind, flexible, welcoming and always professional. From their front desk staff to their practitioners, even the owner is a stand-up guy - I've met them and would invite them come over for dinner with my mom - they're that good. I really like that they take such a holistic approach to your health. They are also huge advocates for you with insurance as well. They incorporate a series of options and services based on what you're open to and what you need. The services I utilize are chiropractic, pilates, acupuncture and massage. They offer other services but if I spend anymore time there, they're going to start charging me rent. I always look forward to my appointments. I see "Dr. T" (Dr. Vincent Tagliaferro) as my chiropractor and Dr. Xing "Johnson" Yang as my acupuncturist. All hail the dream team. I'd be a crippled mess without them. They are both masters of their craft AND personable human beings. Dr. T has a background in sports, training, weight lifting and PT. If he doesn't know it or can't fix it, it doesn't exist. And Johnson doesn't just do acupuncture but cupping, herb healing and about a million other things as well. Both gentlemen are intelligent, professional and exceptional at their jobs. The folks I see for pilates and massage change depending on what days I book but that's only because I work night and have a ridiculous schedule. (Shout out to the front desk team for making sure I make it to appointments and working with my near impossible schedule - Cindy, Linda, I'm looking at you two). Their massage personnel and pilates instructors are all wonderful. They report enjoying their work and the company they work for. If you couldn't tell, I have yet to have a negative experience at this establishment and I love every person I see there. If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them from my personal experience. But I'd you're looking for somewhere to go for either body maintenance or a chronic or acute problem, I would recommend them confidently. read more

I am such a fan of Strive. I was recommended a massage therapist here (Samantha - she's a genius with bodies) and have also gotten physical therapy from one of their experienced PT people. They also offer chiropractor and acupuncture services. The space is clean and convenient and they have a small gym in the back for further PT sessions. The best part though is that my insurance pays for a limited number of sessions a year which is AMAZING. I think massage should be a part of all insurance coverage but it almost never is, and so finding Strive has kinda changed my life. read more

I found Strive through my friend Cindy, who also works there in the office. About a year ago, I injured myself, and ever since then, I did not fully recover. I was introduced to Dr. Deo who started my entire process of recommendations for the types of therapy I needed for my overall wellness. She introduced me to the physical Therapist Karine G. who is very knowledgable and helpful with her treatment and exercises that she has me doing daily. Every week, she provides one other exercise to continue doing with the old ones. I was also introduced to Dr.T (Vincent T) the chiropractor. He had a treatment plan to help with my lower back pain from sitting at a desk all day. He has also been guiding me with exercises to fix my posture and strengthening my core. Medical massage has also been very helpfully during all these treatments as it's helps with all the aches and pains. So far, I can feel the difference from when I first started up until this point. With everyone's treatment plan and me continuing to do my part, I feel like Strive will help me get to the point where I would like to be. The front desk staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and well organized. It's very easy to schedule an appointment. The facility is also very clean and safe. Strive Wellness is the most unprofessional and poorly managed faculties I have ever been to. They have one good chiropractor and they bait and switch you to an incompetent and medically dangerous chiropractor and when I complained about the medical standard and my refusal to see the grossly incompetent chiro, the owner Michael Moscati refused to make the necessary medical intervention to protect the health and safety of their patients. The staff is rude and unprofessional and they do not have sufficient Covid-19 protocols in place to be operating. They had a cloth sheet on the table which cannot be cleaned in between every appointment. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS, it's a danger to the public and should be closed down. Strive has an incompetent chiropractor on staff and they are aware and continue to let the person see patients. You are lucky if all you get is no relief, but given the lack of competence I would not let that person manipulate any critical areas such as the neck. Clearly Mr. Moscati is seeking profit over patient care by hiring incompetent staff and the substantial turnover in staff is a strong indicator low pay/low quality churn. The PT staff is terrible, I recommend SPEAR nearby on 34th street. read more

He is the 4th chiropractor I've been cared by and he offers so many services that other chiropractic offices don't offer (like accupuncture, massage, Pilates, PT). The people that work here really are the best of the best. Instead of just treating the patient, they take the time to teach you what's going on with your body and how to fix the issue long after your treatment sessions. Each person I've seen has taken the time to explain why the body does what it does and where your pain is coming from, they don't just diagnose, treat and send you on your way. Karine is the physical therapist that I see and I could not recommend her more. If you are a woman, she's the one you need to see. She has taught me so much and I genuinely enjoy my sessions with her. It's like going to spend time with a friend who makes you and your body feel better! I've had massage therapy by Samantha and Amy and they are both so smart and special. I love that they have different styles and are both so good at their jobs! I found Strive Total Wellness after looking for a PT place that offered a host of services in addition to physical therapy. I liked that they offered Pilates, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy. It was close to my job, so I made an appointment and was really pleased with the treatment I was getting. Flash forward a year and a half later, and I'm still here despite not working in the same area anymore. I'm still there for one reason: my massage therapist, Samantha Goodwin. I come into the city on the weekends all the way from Flushing just to see her. She is hands down the best massage therapist I've ever had. How? She's the kind of therapist that is incredibly intuitive--if you don't like to talk during therapy, she won't make small talk. If you don't know what hurts because it all hurts, she is skilled enough to find the problem areas you didn't even know were bothering you. If you have a tender area, she doesn't keep prodding, she feels the tension in your body and stops. And the best thing, she has the most earthy, calm, healing, relaxed energy you will find in a therapist--EXACTLY everything you could ask for in a masseuse. She's gone to one of the best schools for massage therapy and continually finds ways to improve upon her skills. What I like most about her is her touch, it's firm and the pressure is always just right, all the while being gentle and soothing. She even got me through pregnancy and now onto postpartum...she can treat all sorts of conditions. It's worth a visit here just to book with her because she is a star in her own right. read more

I discovered STRIVE through a friend a of mine. She had great things to say about this place, so I decided to give them a try. I've been seeing the nutritionist for quite some time now, and I have to say I am really happy with the progress. The entire atmosphere is great, from the time you walk through the door. I first met with Dr.Moscati for a consultation and then he introduced me to Lionel the nutritionist. I explained my concerns to him and he really took the time to go over the many options with me. My goal was to start eating healthy, as I was training for a race. He gave me a list of food and drinks that I can buy and make on my own, to help with energy levels and boost my metabolism. At first, it was difficult to adjust but I knew that I needed to do this. After a couple weeks of eating/drinking clean, I started to see and feel a difference.
