Dr. Shoshany is amazing! I came to him with headaches on the left side of my head, fuzziness in my left eye, the sensation of inflammation, and extreme worry and discomfort. I had seen a neurologist who wanted me to pay out of pocket for an MRI and an MRA "just in case" - after diagnosing me with Occipital Neuralgia (pinched occipital nerve). She tried to push pain medicine on me, which I rejected. Dr. Shoshany's staff are all true professionals - the office is sleek and clean. There is never a wait. Shame on me for picking this place before seeing the reviews on Yelp. I called for an emergency appointment with Dr. Shoshany and they were able to fit me in. When I called and asked if they took my insurance they said that they did. One again shame on me for not checking with my insurance company first. But what can I saw I was in a lot of pain and needed to get fixed fast. After my appointment I was told that I had to pay for x-rays that I had just got out of pocket. Even though I found that a little fishy I paid in full anyway. When I left I called my insurance company to see what the deal was with that and they explained to me that they did not take my insurance. Long story shot and 6 weeks later I was able to get a full refund for the x-rays. Thank God too because they cost me $350! read more

yes he's good looking and he gets invited to talk on morning talk shows but I did not feel he was really listening to me or tried to understand what was wrong with me, he cracked my back and then sent me to an assistant to apply sticky electrodes to my back, he never said goodbye gone in a flash to the next room working on his next patient. that was it. I would not recommend Dr Shoshany and Noho medical. They force you into getting expensive services that are not required or helpful, but get them paid more $$. Specifically, in my case, they coerced me into getting a very expensive diagnostic procedure that changed nothing about treatment but got them paid over 6k. Dr Shoshany spends a lot on marketing to get people in the door and fill his coffers, but runs his business unethically, without the patients best interest in mind. His billing department is horrendous and also caused multiple issues, at one point charging my credit card thousands of dollars without any notice. Avoid at all costs. read more

I found them nearby my office in Soho. Conveniently located on Broadway near Houston. Everyone is very friendly and most importantly- experts in their field. I was able to rehab via pt, chiro- manual adjustments, cold laser therapy, ultrasound, shake plate, rock taping, etc. Afterall, he adjusts babies and children... As some of the reviews said it is a bit pricey, my insurance only reimburses me 25% of the visit but with that said you aren't going to a back alley chiropractor you are going to a professional place and in NYC not everything is cheap, doctors usually cost more. Personal training is almost the same rate. Anyhow now to the review. This week i had a very painful muscle spasm in my upper back that wouldn't calm down, it was like I was being stabbed in the back. I called to make an appointment and they fit me in within an hour because I was in so much pain. I came in got a light adjustment, electro stim, some grasting, and also saw the medical doctor there and got injections in the area and some prescriptions. It took a big portion of the pain away immediately and the rest of the day I just relaxed, the next morning I woke up and it was as if I never had the pain to begin with. I felt completely normal and could actually go back to the gym. To get fixed in one day I would say is a big success and I'll continue to see them when I need the help. read more

The front desk staff at Living Well is very nice and friendly and it is very easy to get a hold of them via phone or email. The doctors are knowledgeable and use the latest technology and techniques that you may not find elsewhere. If one technique doesn't work for you there will surely be someone at this office trained in another method that might better meet your needs. This is particularly helpful if you have a complex case or haven't had any luck with other doctors in the past. My biggest complaint with this office is scheduling. They say they are open on Saturdays but, although I tried, I was never able to make a weekend appointment. Also, they are supposedly open until 7:30 p.m, however they strongly discourage you from making an appointment later than 6:30pm. If you do make an appointment at 7pm don't be surprised if it feels very rushed. read more

I've gone to NOHO CHIRO twice for the same situation, and in both instances my pain was significantly reduce immediately as a result of their procedures. I had tweaked a muscle in my back power lifting both times and needed immediate pain relief. Upon entering NOHO CHIRO, the doctor greeted me, diagnosed my situation and had me hooked up to a stem machine with a heating pad within 10 minutes of arriving. In both cases, I was given an adjustment that remedied 70%-85% of the pain I'd been experiencing. I've since moved away, but while traveling back through town (now years later) I called the office and they got me in right away! Chiropractic is a holistic treatment, so it takes time, patience, and dedication to your own wellness. His cold laser therapy is a miracle. After tearing my meniscus, I laid in bed for 2 weeks on ibuprofen, ice, pain, and could barely walk. I am grateful to Dr. Sho. Six months after surgery for a total knee replacement I was still very uncomfortable, and my recovery had stalled. I had faithfully submitted to all the traditional approaches, to relieve my persistent pain and stiffness, but it wasn't until I went to Dr. Steven Shoshany that I got real results. What I needed was a soft tissue specialist trained and certified in a variety of innovative techniques, such as the Gaston method, to break down stubborn scar tissue, and relieve inflammation and synovitis that resulted from the operation. I also needed someone who would work with my insurance company. The original operation at HSS was a "success," as far as the hardware was concerned, but after I stopped using opiates and completed two courses of physical therapy, I was still using anti-inflammatory meds, Lidocaine patches, analgesic rubs, ice, heat, acupuncture, compression, stretches, rest. Nothing helped. My surgeon said I should consult a soft tissue specialist but the chiropractor he recommended didn't accept any insurance and was far too expensive for me to afford on an extended basis. Ditto for many others. Dr. Sho, a chiropractor who helps many patients suffering from soft tissue issues, was willing to work with me, and accept payments directly from my insurance company, rather than making me file claims and paperwork and hope for some reimbursement. He is constantly learning, is willing to think out-of-the-box and he listens carefully to my feedback and applies it to my treatment plan. The office, conveniently downtown, is efficiently run by a pleasant staff, and waits are never long for appointments or to be seen by Dr. Sho. I'm no longer focused on the discomfort of my knee from the moment I get out of bed. Hours, and sometimes full days, go by with me barely thinking about it now. Dr Shoshany and his team have been great. I visited 11 years and they used Graston and heated laser therapy for my small shoulder tear and it worked, no surgery and I healed completely. I strongly recommend Dr. Shoshany to all my friends and family members. The man knows what he's doing and his staff is excellent. The service is excellent and flexible, they are always able to fit me in which is huge given my busy schedule. Whether you're doing some kind of physical rehab treatement or you're just coming in for a regular adjustment, this place is an excellent choice. I first started seeing a chiropractor a few years ago in California to deal with a subluxation arising from my work. After the initial intensive treatment phase, everything was fine again and so I just kept going once a month for regular adjustments. When I moved to NYC a couple of years ago, I needed a new chiropractor to continue my monthly adjustments. After trying a couple of different guys, I found Dr. Sho (as his patients and staff call him). In addition to being close to my home, he's on-point because he really knows what he's doing. For example, when I developed problems in my left hip flexors arising from my 4-5x per week yoga practice, I went to a variety of places to deal with it. Dr. Sho, suggested I start seeing his massage therapist, David, whom I also HIGHLY recommend!. After going to David twice a week for 2 months, the pain in my hip was gone and hasn't been back since. Truthfully, it's really hard to find good physical therapy and rehab clinics that know what they are doing. These guys are topnotch and I recommend them to everyone unequivocally. In terms of cost and number of visits, it doesn't matter where you go. If you want to deal with an underlying muscular or skeletal issue, you're going to have to put in the time and money to fix it. Any doctor will tell you that. There is NO SUCH THING as a two-visit cure. You just have to decide for yourself how much is living without pain worth to you. Anyhow, I still go to see Dr. Shoshany once a month for my regular chiropractic adjustments and I always feel better when I do. This place definitely earns their five stars in my book. read more

HORRIBLE, waste of money. He saw me for literally less than 5 minutes of my 30-40 minute appointment. He did the basics, without any diagnostic analysis. I saw no improvement, and got no relief. At one point, he even sold me a back brace -- which I found out from a second opinion was completely unnecessary!
