They emailed me back first thing Monday morning, providing information. They followed up with a text to see if I wanted to move forward and when I said yes they called. I was able to get in next day! The evening before I set up my portal account and sent my pups records. On appt day, we were greeted so warmly, like they already knew us, and placed us into a private room. I had a nice chat with a vet tech while she asked questions, and 5 mins later we were with the Dr! He sat on the floor with my nervous pup, got to know us and then took her back for assessment. He avoided intrusive procedures, rather offering less expensive alternatives and gave an over all heath assessment. They checked me out and the cost was very reasonable. While on my way home, they texted lab results that my pup was healthy and good to go! I am so happy I found Hess Ridge. You can tell they love what they do and care to build relationships with you and your fur baby.

An over-reaching media release policy, failure to release complete lab reports, prescriptions pick up policies designed to discourage owners from filling at less expensive providers, high mark ups on in-clinic and mail order drugs and selling high quantities of medications before knowing if a pet will tolerate them are just unacceptable. More serious clinical errors and omissions have piled up that are more than annoying. The failures of VC Parker are consistent and systemic: veterinarians do not communicate with owners, techs do not read charts, medication errors occur, prescriptions are priced at exorbitant markups, follow up is inadequate and administrative tasks are neglected resulting in delays in care. After four years at VC Parker (for three dogs), we have serious concerns about the quality of care and will be seeking care elsewhere.

The vet tech took her time to make sure he was comfortable and calm. Then the vet Dr. Shekarchian spent the first five minutes on the ground with my dog to make sure he was comfortable. He wasn't rushed. He wanted to first make sure my dog was okay before he did his check up. By the end of the visit my dog was taking treats and accepting pets (that's a big deal). Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

Upon calling, the receptionist was phenomenal. She took all of my information and requested my dog's records from the Vet in Las Vegas to discuss with Dr. Larson. Not only did I get a call back the next day, Dr. Larson called me and spent 45 minutes on the phone with me to go through the procedure, recovery, physical therapy and so much more. I immediately felt comfortable. I really appreciated that they were so kind and willing to work with me being that I am out of state and only had me take one trip. The day prior to surgery, Dr. Larson spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me and the day of, another 30. PCAC is the most caring, compassionate veterinary team I've ever been to. Incredible. Having had several experiences that were negative with respect to vets, we were so…read moregrateful to the doctors and staff here at AESC. Our 3.5 year old serval cat was hit by a vehicle in Gatlinburg. He was badly injured with blunt force trauma to the head and face, lacerations on his back, all four paws badly abraded and unknown internal injuries. We were at a loss as we did NOT have a vet and didn't have a way to get him in a crate. Silas wasn't socialized as a kitten so we took him on as no one else would. He is not a mean cat, just quite anxious. Silas was a replacement kitty as our first cat died in the Gatlinburg fires -- Silas has a special place. Although we cannot hold him we can pet him. I called many vets that day and was frustrated by the answers I received. WE REALLY NEEDED HELP AND NOONE SEEMED TO CARE. (It took 2 days to get Silas into a carrier) Finally, I called AESC and knew after talking for less than a minute that this is where we were taking Silas. When we arrived at AESC the staff quickly got Silas to an exam room and within 2 minutes Dr Rutherford appeared. He addressed Silas' pain immediately, (he had been hurting for 2 days), and had x-rays completed in minutes. The doctor listened, was knowledgeable and we discussed the possibilities with respect to the surgery Silas needed. His jaw was broken in 2 places and he had additional superficial injuries as well that would heal by themselves over time. The surgery went well and we continue to care for Silas at home. He was discharged the same day as the surgery. So grateful to have found this clinic. Hopefully we will not need emergency services again. But in the event we do, we know exactly where we will be taking Silas. And that knowledge in and of itself is reassuring as we haven't had any place that we felt comfortable taking him.
