Then they closed the indefinitely. They changed management, the pool reopen. Pool closed again for repairs. I called and spoke with Allan the GM, he said we could freeze your account, till the pool has been repaired. That was in November. Dec payment was deducted in error. (Before All the Craziness) I had referred a couple of people, was told I would get 1free month for each referral. I have called & went to the gym and was told no one could help me. Ellis gave me the billing department. That's a joke!!! on hold for a hour and no answered. Emailed my complain, emailed was returned. Texted no one responded. WTH Very Very Disappointed!

I heard a lot about "the community" at Compound Fitness. The term could not be more accurate. The members here take an interest in each others fitness, encourage, and hold each other accountable. I have made some new friends that I do things with outside of the gym. it seems like everyone has. Trainers actually care about the whole person and find individual solutions for people to reach their goals. From strength training to bootcamp style group training, you can find it all here. Programs change and new strategies are implemented, offering a variety of options to keep things fresh. I see people of all fitness levels, from first-timers to more seasoned vets, all working together. Non judgy, non pushy, just helping people get fit.

The decision to join Ctown was the best thing to happen to me in my time there. I had not done crossfit before and had been a lifelong in and out of the gym kind of guy. Never fully committing for longer than a few months at a time. From the minute I walked in and met Larry the owner, I knew my life was about to change. Ctown focuses on form first and foremost and under the leadership of head coach R.E. has built a solid reputation and family like atmosphere that was more welcoming than I could ever imagine. The group sizes varied, but even at its largest of 15 you still got individualized attention from the coaches throughout the workout. Being new, I was worried about not being able to keep up with the workouts, but scalability is also important to Ctown. The coaches offered modifications for almost every workout, still pushing you to try and complete it as prescribed. I was only there for a few months, but got into the best shape of my life and was driven by not only the coaches, but my fellow athletes. Yes, you do truly feel like an athlete, no matter how you look. There's no egos at Ctown, everyone is in it together and you build a great comradery that is driven by the caring personalities of the coaches who drive and inspire you as you go. I met lifelong friends in only a few months, got into the best shape of my life and never felt like I was part of a "cult" like atmosphere like some skeptics of crossfit would say. I owe R.E., Larry and the team at Ctown much gratitude for taking in a new kid in town and turning out a dedicated, more motivated and better individual in the end. If you are thinking of starting crossfit or looking for a new box to join, I could not recommend a better place and better people to be with. I called corporate twice; no return call ever from them. Then I did get the manager a few times. Maria put me on hold for a full ten minutes, before I hung up, called again and got the voicemail. That was the first hold. Second hold, a few days later, I got put on hold again by Maria. Left again, by Maria. Called back and got her. She tried to coax me into staying many times. It was VERY OBVIOUS she was trying to get me to the 30 day mark and I said, NO CANCEL THIS and she said she did, apologized and I thought that was it. Until Sunday, May 26th when I received an email from a collections company!! I cannot believe this is happening. This is 2026 and predatory subscription practices still going strong. I am currently working on a resolution. I have not yet heard from either the store nor corporate, which I am not surprised. Jazzercise is much more than "bouncing around." It's a total body workout incorporating aerobics, strength, core, and flexibility training plus stretching and cool down. The music and routines are updated on a regular basis, so classes are never boring. In addition, Jazzercise offers various formats, including Dance Mixx, Strength 60, Interval, Fusion, and more. Equally important, students don't have to do high impact to get a good workout. Instructors demonstrate modifications to accommodate those who can't or don't want to "jump and bounce." Speaking of instructors, all are highly trained and monitored for "quality control." Our Berea instructors are true professionals, always well prepared but also personable and fun. An added perc -- our class managers are welcoming, and the other students are friendly. It's pretty easy to find "Jazzerbuddies" to make workouts even more enjoyable. Classes include all ages, fitness levels, and body types, too. There is no judging or body shaming. Ever. I've been Jazzercising my entire adult life and can't imagine quitting. I'll probably still be coming to class in my eighties! That would be awesome!
