This is a great winery. In addition to having great wines, the owner is extremely friendly and personable. There was a pizza food truck the night that we were there. The perfect brick oven thin crust pizza. Back to the wines, they're all great. They also sell wine accessories in the store. Also, they have a spice packet that can be added to their wines that takes the flavor to another level. Would definitely recommend to check this out and I will definitely be returning. read more

I've been here 3 times when we are in the area. Very quaint winery. I love the Carlos which is between sweet and dry, a tish more sweeter. Cute little wine things for sale in the shop. Have a bottle at the vineyard and order a crab cake sandwich from the food truck, makes for a very enjoyable day! read more

Opened in 07 And this is the first time being here. The owners are completely wonderful and the outdoors is perfect for night of good drinks, no frill and wonderful hangout without being rushed. We came, tried a few different samples and I opted for their blanc. From first sip, I felt like I was eating the grape.. a muscadine grape. They said it was the carlos grape. I love muscadine grapes and this wine tasted exactly like the grape but with ABV's added to it. I couldn't believe it was 12% a bottle. It tasted like a juice that went down really smooth. They change out the food trucks. On this particular visit they had meat on a stick and everything on the menu looked amazing. We brought all of our own food since it was my first time and I wasn't sure what to expect. There was plenty of seating, lots of shade and fans to help keep things cool. My kids ran up and down the grape field and enjoyed kicking and throwing the ball around the open field. This was a perfect night and I really enjoyed the visit. I loved the flavors, the hospitality, the events they offer and it's dog friendly. What else can you ask for in an event with friends. read more

I don't want to be so harsh. But, this was honestly the worst wine I've ever tasted. I was given a gift card from someone who lives out of state, that had no idea how this place would be, and struggled spending the money. I did buy several different wines to take to an event that night. To get other opinions. We ended up emptying them down the sink. Extremely nice people running it which makes me feel bad. I found it to be a quaint place and they had food truck. They have a store where they serve wine and you can buy wine and trinkets. Service is ok. I ordered a bottle of wine to bring to a neighbor and I am sorry I did. I recommend you taste a glass of wine before you buy a bottle to take home. I bought a bottle of Spring Hill red wine for $16 and could not drink it. it had a faint chemical smell and taste. read more

Enjoyed our visit very much. The wine tasting was not only tasty, but instructive. The owner shared the history of Strong Tower and encouraged us to take a walk through the vineyard. At the vineyard we found a few ripe grapes and sampled first hand. Quite different from the table grapes we're use to, but very yummy. Loved the place. This place is a pretty out in nowhere's land but amazing vineyard and winery. We found it while we were going blueberry picking nearby, and they pointed us out to this hidden gem. It was in the middle of no where but was outstanding with it's trees in the vineyard and its wonderful strawberry wine. read more

I just can't bring myself to give them two stars, although it is probably justified. The wine is merely ok. The soil here is not the best for grapes, so the wines seem dull and lifeless to me. The shop is nice but pricey, and the owners are friendly. You will get a chance to try some wines before buying, which is the only saving grace. If you like the really light, light, light pinots you can do ok here. If you like a good cabernet or red zinfandel, look elsewhere. read more

The two staff members we encountered were friendly and personable, and one of them assisted in our wine tasting. She helped us find the perfect one, though all were delicious. I brought my wife here back in February and she really liked this winery/vineyard. Spring Hill Red and Carlos were her two favorite wines. The owners were so very kind when we stopped in in February, very personable and likable people. The food truck they had here the night we came had great brick stone pizza. Since my wife liked this place so much I decided to throw her surprise birthday party here in September. Terry, the owner was awesome and did everything he could to make our guests feel welcome. Guests can sample wines before purchase. Everyone who came to the party really liked this venue. Some had heard of it but never been here. Some had never heard of it, and then some were repeat guests. We will definitely be back soon. If I'm bit mistaken, they have a calendar of events on their website so you know what's going on. Whether you're looking for a quiet romantic evening with someone or you're looking for a place to host a party, this place is great. My wife and I both highly recommend this place. Went here for the first time today. The wine's were actually very good and it is a very welcoming, cool place. Tasted all of the reds and blueberry wines along with a port. They were sold out of whites when we went. Bought 4 bottles and will definitely go back! Definitely a cool place to checkout. They supposedly do events at night too where you can drink wine and bring your own food. read more

My first visit to the winery was last weekend. I've wanted to go for years and finally made it. What a great spot! The owners are very friendly and the shop is adorable. I love the outside setting. You can bring a picnic basket, buy wine by the bottle or glass and sit outside to enjoy the delightful scenery. This past Friday evening we did just that. I couldn't get over how many people were there. Nice way to unwind after a long work week. Can't wait to to do it again. I have to say that I was so pleased to come to this little place as I have family in that area. We got a picnic together and went. When we arrived we realized that there was food, a pizza truck. We did not eat that though since we bought ours. The vendors they had where few and most had similar things for sale, lots of things made from wood. The wine: apparently the wine is made from grapes that are sweeter because of the area they are grown in. As a result the wine is quite different then what most wine drinkers are used to. A small plastic cup was served for 5 dollars. Plastic probably also altered the taste of the wine. They had a glass for purchase also small also 5.00. There where a small amount of tables in the shade, the rest of it was all in the sun. The bathrooms.... My biggest issue with this entire situation. There was a lot of families with Lots of kids and some people came for that purpose so they where not drinking, a lot where drunk and many I saw where pregnant, trying to have a fun afternoon with their families. Two disgusting porta potteys. Is all they had for the entire event which went on from 10-6 in around 86-90 degree weather. If I had known that I never would have come. What pregnant woman wants to use those when sanitary conditions are so important and ZERO mothers want a child in there at all. My advise is that there was a lot of wonderful events going on at churches and even 30/40 minutes away in Dunedin, all had occasion for an adult beverage and family fun. Go to those where the accommodations are sanitary and you can have your normal tasting wine in a glass. read more

Hidden Gem. Such a neat place to come an experience wine made in FL. The owners were very friendly and offer complimentary wine tastings. The carlos was delicios white wine that a friend and I enjoyed out on the veranda. The horses came right up to the fence and socialized. We wen to dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The crab cakes were delicious, and the port was incredible. The night was mild and the fire pits were a great touch. The owners talked to us at length about central Florida and seemed quite friendly. I cannot vouch for the wine or anything else at this location.
