The Bad: My very first issue is between them and Groupon. They currently have a Groupon for a package of eight. Nowhere on there does it say you cannot use that for a party. It actually talks about parties and what's included in them. So I purchased it and then when I called to make the reservation, they said you cannot use the Groupon towards the party or for a party. So now I'm out that money and trying to get it back from Groupon. When you pull up, you will see that the entire property is run down; crumbling structures, broken structures and nails sticking out of wooden planks and beams, and dilapidated old electrical cable spools sitting on the ground that have been there for I don't know how long. It also appears that most of the nets are ripped as well. One of the main access points to the field is actually a huge tear they just walk through. We came for a party and filled out all waivers beforehand, but they weren't even checked or verified. I had 8 kids with me that were not mine, and no one thought to check us in one by one. I called days prior to arriving and asked if we should be there early for any reason and was told no because there was only 1 seating area for parties and there was a 9-1 party and a 1 -5 party so there would be no time for set up, but I could decorate or hang banners and decorate at 1 (I had the 1-5 party) once the party started at 1. We got there on time like requested and it was a chaotic mess. Our table was not set up, we did not have enough guns for our reserved party 11, 4 of 10 masks were broken, we had no canopy and when we asked for one, they only had a broken one that my husband had to help put up. Meanwhile there was another party there who had a canopy and all of their equipment complete and nicely lined up and I was told that was because they were an hour early. If you've never been to Santa Paula or Stryker, it is HOT out there. That being said, there are minimal canopies available that work or are not broken. We asked if they had an extra one and we would even pay to rent and they said they only had a broken one we can try and use. The worker and my husband did their best to put it up and we tried to make due but it just wasn't cutting it. Oh, and we found one later laying up against a fence that wasn't being used and looked perfectly fine! They have built in ones made of beams and sheet metal (work pretty decent for shade and protection). There are not enough to cover each picnic table or sitting area. When a "9-1" party vacated this are at 2 PM, we moved our party over there to the shaded area. After we sat down and moved our stuff, one of the staff asked us to move because it was Airsoft parties only (literally all tables are in the same 50 square foot space). I asked how many tables they needed, and the worker said IDK maybe 3 (there were 4). I said OK well I need 2 and I am not sitting in the sun with a broken canopy when I paid just as much as the other party and also had reservations just like they did and sat down at these tables first. I ended up getting to use 2 of the 4 tables and none of the other party ever used the other 4 tables. It was really a strange interaction. They only managed to round up 10 of 11 sets of gear so my husband didn't get to officially play until the last hour. Once the guns and helmets arrived, they asked where our paintballs were (I pre-purchased online from Stryker). We then had to wait for those as well. After an hour, my kids finally got on the field. The Good: While the staff was inefficient, they were very nice and polite. I think they really needed more staff and some guidance on site. Their boss was off site for the day for personal reasons. I can at least speak for Maddie and Xavier being calm and kind because I know running into every possible issue with my party had to be stressing them out. You can order Amecis pizza through them. They will order it and get it to you by a certain time. Make sure you have your own plates, toppings, ranch, etc though! However, this is a nice option to not have to worry about lunch. After all of these issues I did call and speak to the owner and he was understanding and apologetic and kind. He didn't try to make any excuses but he did let me know he was not on site that day for personal reasons and that made the difference and he would make some changes going forward and offered to try and make it right for me in whatever way he could. If everything had gone accordingly, I would say that the prices are fair, even though the facility is run down, it has a large playing area, and there are lots of things to do and the referees do seem to enjoy their jobs for the most part. In the end, the most important part, is MY SON HAD FUN. He wants to go back. I might be crazy because I would never throw a party here again, but I would probably allow my son to go back. read more

The field is in a state of disrepair and I was shocked to see that prices have gone up without any care taken to the fields. I've spoken to Multiple players that have offered to fix or add to the field for cheap/free but the owners refuse for some reason. It's a disservice to the local airsoft/paintball scene. read more

What an absolute s... show of a field! Nets are all trashed and fields are bad but what gets me is the absolute disregard for safety!!! For new kids starting or families coming out to celebrate I feel so bad for them and they shouldn't be introduced this way. Refs don't even want to be there they are on their phones 99.99% of the time people walking around no mask, shooting in parking lot, no barrel covers, and even a REF doing a walk on paintball is sitting there while they play with no mask! And I mentioned it to two employees sitting in a car about it and they said "well it's his choice" this place shouldn't even be in business! Even got guys blasting little kids full auto but the ref just Chillen up top AirPods in playing on his phone. This place is a disgrace to the sport. read more

I have been here a couple of times now and I am very happy with this facility. There are a variety of fields and the game themes are fun. I brought my 12 year old son and his best friend for the first time yesterday and they LOVED it. The ref, Rene was fantastic. He answered questions, helped find lost gear, and even defused a couple of heated patrons. Many fields are filled with swearing staff and a take it or leave it atmosphere. Not at this place. My sons newest favorite place to participate in airsoft battles with friends! There are beautiful mountains views and the busy airport right next door, great for plane spotting! This location has an upper and lower area. When arriving the check in is a very nice, large building, $30 for the whole day of you have your own supplies. The man checking in was nice, quick and helpful. Then drive down the super steep half paved hill/golf cart path to park your car right next to the fields. Throughout the day they alternated between paintball and airsoft matches for walk ons and then private parties so there were 2 areas in use at a time. The teens had a blast in the different areas and were able to try out most of the areas throughout the day. There is a giant grassy private party area up top with barbecues, swing set and areas for games. Down by the fields there are lots of picnic tables to put your items on and spread out below and it looks like they are building more as well. I would have given more stars however 1. There was trash everywhere. There were two over flowing trash cans but it seemed like if you weren't in the private party area it wasn't cleaned up (or it was how middle school boys "clean") 2. It did not feel safe for players as we saw the "officials" standing with their backs to the players throwing paintballs at building to watch them explode or driving golf carts fast through the place. We will most likely be back, there aren't many places to do airsoft. read more

One of the best refs I ever had in airsoft was here super professional and fun, you can tell they want what's best for their players for the greater good experience. The management is not the best but they do put in work. Management does do things but in my opinion they should be doing more, taking into account the amount of money they're making. They don't try to maintain the field; they don't try to make any experience better. Some fields are falling apart, a former glory of what they used to be, but there is now an indication that they've attempted to spend money to fix up the fields. Things are looking up for Stryker, but if they spend time fixing up their fields and open up a speedball field, they'll be set. read more

I have to admit when I decided to visit friends in the area and give this place another chance I didn't have faith. But after another day I can confidentially say they have made efforts to remedy many of these issues. While the field is still in need of repair, most other grievances have been addressed. The ref seemed engaged and was someone clearly with experience in the sport. Fair play for the most part. Didnt play any scenario more than once. Pleasantly surprised. One of the best fields I've gone to compared to others in San Bernardino and Kern County. Highly recommend it here overall. Customer service is top notch and if there are any issues they do their best to address them beyond expectations. If you need a party for the young ones to play Nerf this is the place to be! I have to say, I was iffy about the place after reading a few reviews but it seems that they must have had a bad experience that day or it didn't go their way because it went differently in a different field. I don't know, but I do know I came to give it a try a few weekends so far and LOVE IT not just the Customer service, at the clubhouse but the refs have been great and super friendly not only that when I had an issue with a player they addressed it immediately in a professional manner. I will return for many more weekends to come and will even set up some parties here as well!!! read more

What a great experience. We celebrated my son's birthday here! (10 yrs old) A few buddies and dads joined us for a private party. We had never been airsofting. The staff provided hands down exceptional service. Made everyone feel safe and welcomed. Our host (Kai) was amazing! Respectful and so patient. I came here for my first paintballing experience with my girlfriend and her family, and we had a blast! They offer a rental package that includes the paintball gun, paintballs, and mask. Their office is up top and then you drive down a hill to get to the actual field area. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. They put together the games with whoever is playing that day so you essentially play with strangers of all skill levels. We basically spent all day there and had a great time. I'll just add that when I go paintballing again, I'm definitely getting some armor because those things hurt!! read more

I have been going to Stryker for that past 4 years I'm pretty much there every weekend, the refs, and the community that has been built around this field is amazing and it outshines all the other fields in the area, but there is a serious issue that need to be addressed before I would give this field 5 stars. The entire field is run down with toppled buildings and dilapidated walls, there is nails sticking out of wooden planks sitting on the ground that hasn't been picked up for about 6 months now, and many of the nets are torn or ripped. The owner does nothing to take care of his field other than trimming the bushes back once and a while and its sad to see it get this bad over the years. I love this field so much that I would be willing to volounteer my own time and labor to help fix this field. I would change this review if the field got updated significantly or redone but until then this is what stryker deserves based off of the owners complete lack of care for his facility. read more

Beat paintball park that ive been to. Refs are super chill and had a good time with my own party

I have been paintballing for over 20 years and will never come back here again! Years ago when the park recently opened it was a go to for me since I lived in Los Angeles at the time. A few visits later and the park had substantially gone down hill. I stopped going due to the lack of professionalism, lack of urgency by the refs, and subpar fields. One of my experiences with this park, before a hiatus, was I spoke with the owner. I let him know of all the deficiencies and he was more than receptive to my feedback. I was hopeful that whatever issues they had they would have them corrected. I now live in San Diego and Stryker is not one of my frequent spots but I never forgot about this place. Recently I wanted to take my friends on a 2 day paintball trip. One of our parks was going to be Stryker. I thought to myself whatever issues they had they most certainly have fixed them. Boy was I wrong. All the aforementioned issues are STILL THERE, and add one more! No crowds. There was a walk-on group that seemed more interested in drinking beer and grilling, than playing paintball. My friends and I spent over $200 at this park and played sporadically throughout the day. If it weren't for a private group that graciously let us play, we would of had a horrendous experience. NEVER GO TO THIS PARK FOR PAINTBALL. YOU WILL MOST CERTAINLY WASTE MONEY, AND REGRET YOUR EXPERIENCE. read more

Not the best field to visit, it's really gone down hill. Staff was not a courteous as they use to be, lots of sharp pointy rusty things sticking out. It realy needs some serious attention. My son found a used needle in the parking area where everyone stages. Im not sure if it got washed in by the recent flood or not but when I pointed it out to a staff member he looked at me and said "so deal with it then" and walked off. WAIT What! I thought i was dealing with it by reporting it to the staff. It was still there when we left 2 hrs later. This is why I've decided to write this review. Keep your eyes out especially if you have children playing there. I have 7 kids and this whole situation makes my skin crawl. I really think the health inspector need to go out there and make sure it's safe for our kids I would have given only 1 star but im giving 2 because some conditions may have been caused by the high water, but im bassing this mostly off of poor safety conditions for children, poor maintenance, and poor staffing desisions. Clean up your mess Stryker and get some quality employees and i might give you a 3. read more

My husband and the kids all got LABELED GROUPON and was only allowed to use the GROUPON stuff. My son has done normal paid walk on and got good stuff this time he got cheaper stuff. Was looking for something different to do for my son's 8th birthday and I'm sooo happy I found this hidden gem!! Tired of the expensive trampoline parks that rush you in and out and have limited seating areas for parents wHo are just watching, then look no further! My son waNted to do paintball but I knew he was still too young, when I called to inquire about more info I was told they coulD do a nerf party instead, it sounded like a cool idea so I went ahead and booked our party. Price was very reasonable and we had at least 20 kids playing together! Even some of the adUlts got in on the action. Everyone hAd a blast! Plenty of parking, lots of space to run around, two bbq pits and we were able to bring our own food which was nice because we love to cook. We even made s'mores at the end. The owners were very friendly and accommodating for our needs. But that is not even the best part!!! THE VIEW!!! It was absolutely amazing! I took a video while everyone sang haPpy birthday and the mountains in the back seem almost fake it was so peaceful, and as we were finishing up we were able to watch the sunset in the distance. Simply breathtaking! We will definitely be going back to do paintball and even another nerf party. They dO offer the location for other events as well and we will be uSIng them to host ouR wedding reception in May, and I can't wait! read more
