He fixed the problem, patiently waited with me to make sure the problem was fully fixed, and even showed me where to go on Ameren to get discounts on certain things should I need them in the future. Very friendly and professional and got the problem fixed for a very good cost! My issue was in trying to book him. I had done some research and found the problem I was experiencing was likely due to my thermostat. So I messaged them asking if if they were able to fix thermostats and left them my number to text me. I got a text saying that it would need to be replaced, not fixed. I said that was fine and proceeded to ask them to come out. I told them I was available everyday after 3:15 as I am a teacher and can't leave class early to get home and let them in. They said They were open from 2:00 to 5:00 and couldn't promise they wouldn't come at 2:00. This baffled me. I told them I couldn't come home early. Wouldn't you just send your worker to take a long lunch or run errands for the company if you had to wait like that? Seemed very odd and made it feel like whoever was in charge of booking appointments didn't care about my schedule.

I was cool about it and excepted the second appointment, that was probably my biggest mistake she claim the technician had to come at 7:30 AM because I would be the first appointment of the day on that morning when the technician couldn't find his way to my house they sent him to another appointment and screwed me over completely!! The Grayco experience!!…read more Friday 11/8/2024 we had 3 appointments scheduled for furnace and boiler services. The first appointment was schedule for our home at 8:30 am (no window was provided). The second appointment was scheduled for between 9am -11am for rental 1, and the last appointment was scheduled for 11am to 12 at rental 2. Michael the technician and I believe part owner arrived at our home around 9:10am. Performed the service, provided information on the systems and was very professional and enjoyable to talk with. As Michael and his assistant prepared to head to rental 1, he informed my wife and I that he would be servicing rental 1, then heading to another service call then he would plan to meet us at rental 2 with the boiler technician. He stated that we would likely be closer to 11:30 due to a service call he had between rental 1 and 2 and that the boiler technician was servicing a boiler out of town. 10:58 am, I receive a call from Julie, rudely asking if anyone was planning to meet the technician at rental 2. I explained to her that we were informed by Michael that it would likely be closer to 11:30. She rudely replied," I told your wife that the technician would be there at 11". I told her that I understood but 11 was not the last time communicated to us. I asked if the technician was there and told Julie that I could be there in 10 minutes, she replied yes. I left the house immediately, at 11:06 I get a voicemail that the boiler technician had other appointments and could not wait. I arrived at rental 2 at 11:09 to find the technician had indeed left. Spoke with Julie as to why they were unable to wait 10 minutes. I was told that their technicians don't wait and that he had other appointments. But the window was from 11-12? My issues: * This was not the first time we'd been met with rudeness from Julie but our experience with Michael and the service had always been positive which is why we continued to use Grayco. They knew that the boiler was not working and that we had tenants in the home without heat. This put us in a position to have to scramble to find someone for service mid-day on a Friday. Thankfully, Summers was able to send out a technician to assist us. They even sent a message saying that they were on their way even though we had a scheduled time to meet. * We waited for 40 minutes for service at our home, yet they couldn't wait 10 minutes for us to arrive at rental 2. Apparently, their time is more important than everyone else's time. * Oddly, we received an invoice for service at rental 2. * We've purchased 2 HVAC systems from them and had them out on multiple service calls for other properties. I find it extremely disappointing that they couldn't wait 10 minutes for a repeat customer for a service window scheduled between 11 - 12. Needless to say, we will no longer be utilizing their services!!

But 20 days after closing, when the air was turned on and did not work, I contacted Dan and he laughed. He reminded me that my check cashed and this was my problem. He did not offer to work with me in any way or offer any feedback besides, things happen and it was not his problem. Check your paperwork before you agree to purchase. When I was shopping for a Geothermal installer I…read morehad narrowed it down to Covenant Heating and Cooling and another local company. Everything was close except; the other company was offering a 20-year warranty for their Geo system. The salesman from CHC told me that he would throw in the 20-year warranty if I went with them. (The extended warranty was available by the Bosche at an additional fee) and CHC said they would pay for the upgrade. At the same time, we also had an internet accessible Honeywell thermostat, Honeywell electronic air cleaner and a Carrier humidifier installed. After the first year we had the annual maintenance performed. That was when we discovered that the air cleaner was obsolete and filters were only offered by a third party. The 3rd party filters don't seem to be working, (due to excess dust on the furniture). Recently the outside sensor for the thermostat started eating batteries. The first batteries lasted for more than 4-years. The new lithium ion batteries since then only last about a month. I contacted Honeywell and they said the installer would need to contact them since they installed the unit. Although Honeywell has a 5-year warranty, CHC does not honor the warranty. They only warranty it for 1 year. With all of this, I thought I should check to ensure that I have the 20-year warranty that I was told that I was going to receive. Surprise.... they have no record of the offer by the salesman. Lesson learned: no matter how nice the salesman seems, make sure you get it in writing and although the manufacture has a good warranty, make sure your installer backs the warranty.
