Some of the price is justified because they have warranty protection on some. You will leave with only a few items under $50 so make sure you do your wallet research. I love shopping local but I can also watch my spending. These place benefit from year round shopping so get your shears and garden items here. The staff is elderly and take good care of the plants all around the store, but they have to look up and refer back to things a lot so again do your research. The staff is so friendly and can help you but use a cart or come with the muscle. This location is often hard to get into with the entrance being right before a busy has station and business intersection. They have limited parking, but do have plenty of accessible parking for those in need. The restroom is just wide enough for a wheelchair too.

We have purchased: - bushes and flowers - flowers and potting soil for Mom for Mother's Day - soil and mulch for covering new grass seed - a special spray to remove some "critters," apparently called 'scale' which are some shelled animal that was coating ALL of the bark on one of our trees... apparently making some kind of sugar, which made the bark and almost all of the leaves black... which attracted bees and wasps and yellow hackets and other similarly-shaped stinging bugs, buzzing all over the place.... AND just like the Timberwinds team said... spray the tree twice and it will be cleared of the scale, and that is precisely what happened... They cut me an incredible deal on the rocks. I ended up paying about 1/3 of what I was expecting to pay. The workers were super nice. They were inside having a great time telling jokes, and just loving their time at work. I do not know much about gardening, but the plant selection seemed to be pretty extensive. Incredibly grateful to the folks over at Colors of Spring for hooking me up and being such a good time. Great folks, great customer service.

I always drive by Colors of Spring and notice the beautiful plants outside (when they're open). We went together to pick them out, and loved the different varieties that they offered. We parked on Fyler for street parking, and walked in the back. Lots of different areas to look and choose from. I'm the furthest from a plant pro, so I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what I saw. However; they looked well taken care of and of good quality. There were also a large variety on the outside of the front of the shop on Watson. We found a couple we liked to check out and the staff member working explained to my mom how to properly take care of her choices- water amount, sunlight amount. It was a quick and easy experience, I would definitely go back to find more in the future!

The two is completely missing the point of the old original location. Go to South County when you need basic plants in flats, soil, and vegetables. While they historically focused just on hostas and hellebores, they look to have expanded their inventory to include a variety of other plants this season. The hellebores were out of season during my recent spring visit, but the hosta selection was incredible. I brought home four new plants: two stunning, blue-green 'Halcyon' and two crisp, white-edge 'Patriot' hostas. The retail operation recently moved three minutes down the road from the original property (which is now a display garden) to a historical 1920s brick schoolhouse. The retail plants are housed in a massive greenhouse on-site. They are still organizing the inventory by hosta size, but it's already mostly easy to navigate and a blast to explore. The customer service is low-key but knowledgable. I initially didn't realize the woman working was an employee since she was dressed in a college hoodie, but she turned out to be very helpful and knowledgeable about the varieties.
