I've been looking for a great stylist for 2 years now. ( just had a horrible experience at an over priced salon in Chino Hills!) After a quick & easy appointment booking, I showed up about 10 minutes early for my appointment. I was greeted kindly, & given a perfect cup of coffee. My stylist was a few minutes late, but was worth the wait. It took 3 hours to color, highlight, shampoo, condition, blow dry & style. Everything was relaxing & I was treated GREAT! For the money I spent( less than $140 with a discount) I won't be going anywhere else! Thank you, Janette & Studio 13! Notes: I was Recommended by Yelp Shop wasn't hard to find. I was at forever21 shopping and saw a cashier there with great highlights. She referred me here and said it's a great salon and they all do great hair and highlights. I love trying new places and of course I always want great color for a decent price. So I went about a month ago (i just registered for yelp today) and got some partial highlights. I had a chick named Jodie. She's a bit older, really friendly and asked a lot about my career backround? After about 45mins and washing out my color it was orange! This is why I ask people where they get their hair done and refer me because I don't want that orange color! Anyways, so whatevers! I was about to get up and out and she said she was going to charge me $75 because it was virgin; $65 for the next time. I handed her my card and she said.."oh, we're independent here so I can take cash or checks" I told her, well the website and when I called they said they take credit cards. She said.."yea, it doesn't say that on the website" ERr? so she said.. "I guess it's on me" she gave me her card and told me to write her a check or if I can come back with the money. Well, I don't live in the area and didn't bring anything with me so I left and said I'll pay her next time. WaCk! read more

I Stumbled upon this place by accident Got lost one day, and saw the hair salon And when it was time for me to do my hair I decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness so glad I did- because I met Grace! I am so blessed to have found her. I have long hair & most salons charge an arm and a leg to do my hair. The prices here are fair and I absolutely love love love that she is prompt with her appointments. If I make an appt.. at 3:00 she is ready to take me at that time. The salon itself is also clean and kept up to date. Aside from the price and place lets talk about her work. Incredible!!! I'm confident that I'm going to leave looking like a million bucks! Cute salon, very down to earth staff. I came here for a trim/ touch up of layers a few times. I always make an appointment with Stephanie beforehand. She is really nice, and will listen to your needs and will make suggestions for your hair. My hair sucks, it has a tendency to split. She even fixed my bangs the way I wanted, usually I end up with them butchered. They also do brazilian blow outs here, I'm very tempted to get one. The only downside is that it is a bit on the pricey side and is temporary. The pricing for hair cuts are $40, which is pretty reasonable. read more

This place is a gem! Shasta has gone back to school so she directed me to Grace. Hard to believe but I'm even more impressed with the results. I have been adding color highlights, blues, pinks, purples since the 70's and I'm very impressed with the details that are paid attention so I've had no dry damage, no missed spots and just gentle good care. Marilia gives the best wash I've ever received and awesome haircuts. I've had the opportunity to have my cut by a few different girls here and have never been dissapointed. I needed my hair colored and cut last minute and I Googled salons in Chino. I read the Yelp reviews on Studio 13 and called to set my appt. (after seeing the great feedback from other clients). The receptionist was very friendly and set my appt. for 2:00 that same day! She told me that I would ask for Katie. When I arrived, Katie met me at the front desk and greeted me with a great smile and by name. She was very sweet and consulted with me about everything that I wanted, not what she wanted. Absolutely love my hair. I have been coming here for a year now and its definitely amazing, I love Janette. I am really picky with my hair and have always left happy. Janette does an awesome job in ensuring my hair color comes out just right. My hair is dark and tends to pull out an orange color with certain dyes, however I have not had this problem with Janette. I went here for color and had the misfortune of having Grace. First of all, the place is small and crowded and the day I was there it was incredibly noisy. Grace had no clue about how to do the color, although I kept telling her what I wanted. I also asked her to tint my eyebrows and when she wiped off the excess, there was no color left on my brows. She finished and my hair was lighter than when I went in, and I wanted it darker. I will NEVER go to this place again. What a joke ! read more

The staff here is miserable. We were asked to come 1/2 hour earlier than our scheduled time. We did and ended up waiting 50 minutes to start our appointment. Girl at the front desk had no idea of the wi-fi password. I took my son here a few years ago. Same thing. So hard to make an appointment. Staff seems entitled for absolutely no reason. They are in Issaquah across from an elementary school in a house. Really? This isn't New York by any stretch of the imagination. We will never return. I was referred to the Esthetician from a friend who got a spray tan from her. I got my eyebrows waxed and a facial. It was the best experience ever. Lori was so great and professional that she made me feel welcome. My eyebrows look awesome and my skin feels so amazing. I will would definitely refer anyone interested in a facial or waxing to go see Lori. The spa is really clean and they have the cutest clothes and jewelry in there shop. I would not recommend this hair salon to anybody. I was referred to this place by a friend. The day of my appointment i walked into the salon and everybody had long faces like they were having a bad day. Nobody greeted me or asked if i had an appointment. Really baad customer service. I had to approach a stylist to let her know i had an appointment. I was very unhappy on how my hair came out it was like the opposite of what i had asked for. Very disappointing. So i requested a full refund. They will check id for refunds but will not ask for id to charge credit cards? It did not make sense. This was my first time here and will be my last. read more

This place is the best. It looks small and modest from the outside but it's nice and modern inside. All of the stylists dress cute and trendy. I get my hair cut and colored here. Jessica is soo nice. She is pretty young but talented. Just recently, I decided to go short and she gave me the perfect cut! Everyone here is friendly and professional. They take walk-ins but it's a good idea to call in advance and schedule an appointment. Everyone is good. I have had my hair done with two other girls and they did a good job too.
