I recently got my hair done by Amanda and let me tell you, she is a gem! Scheduling with her is very easy and she responds quickly to inquiries. She makes it a point to understand your concerns and give you realistic expectations. She doesn't "double up" which really bugs me when my time slot has to be split with someone else. Her pricing is very reasonable and gives you your quote before work is even started. No surprise costs which I'm sure most people would appreciate. My review is long overdue. I visited in early Nov before they were going to move. I needed my roots done and a trim and dry. I haven't had to look for a new stylist in years so I was nervous esp during the pandemic. 1- there was no Covid safety in place. Most customers weren't wearing masks and one stylist wasn't. I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave. But everyone seemed friendly so I tightened my mask and stayed. I had to ask Rachel to sanitize her chair though. She was friendly about it and complied right away and apologized. 2- Rachel did a good job with the trim-cut and matching my hair color. 3- hair wasn't washed properly as I discovered when I got home. I was upset because I paid for a blow dry but had to jump in the shower and rewash my hair! There was a lot of color running down the drain. Rachel never said anything when she dried my hair. She had to have seen that my neck wasn't washed & there was color line on my head. She should have rewashed it. Washing the hair is part of the process, and at these prices I expect the stylist to make sure they've done a good job start to finish so I can't recommend. Sorry. read more

I'm not an angry customer, just an unhappy customer that wanted to share my experience. I needed a salon closer to home and came across Hair Central. I read good reviews about the stylists here. When I called to make my appt., It was with Rachel. I let them know that I had stubborn gray roots and asked if Rachel would be able to help me... I was reassured that Rachel has been doing hair for 18 yrs and it wouldn't be a problem. I booked! When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by this cute little shop on the inside and the stylists were nice too. I explained to Rachel how stubborn my gray was and she was confident about getting it covered. So I trusted her, after all it's only roots! After applying the color for 45 mins. We washed it off and she said it covered and I was good to go! So I pay her, get into my car, then notice my gray was not covered! It was now a different tone of gray. I went back inside to show her. She apologized and said we had to redo. She consulted with her co-stylist and they discussed what should be used. So she mixed more color and reapplied. Before she washed it off, she asked for another set of eyes by her co-stylist who said it was covered. So we washed it off. STILL GRAY! This time my gray was a yellow/gold gray. I couldn't believe it!!! They were shocked too that it didn't cover AGAIN! She offered to refund my money or I could come back to fix it... She then asked what formula my previous stylist used on me. I just wanted to find someplace local, so I agreed for her to fix it (hoping the 3rd time was charm). I left there so frustrated because it was a simple gray retouch and nothing fancy. After thinking... 1) They assured me Rachel could cover my gray. 2) After two tries she could not cover my grays. 3) She has been doing hair for 18 years and wanted the info from my previous stylist. I was done and asked her for a refund, which she gave me but kept my $10 tip. I will not recommend this place to any of my family or friends. So disappointed! read more

I have been coming to Irene since she was in a different salon and I can all I say that I leave super happy with my hair every single time. Ever since my husband started going to her in her previous salon I do not allow anyone else to touch my hair. I got my hair colored and trimmed with Nicole. Unfortunately I felt I wasn't being heard by her. I told her I wanted to come in to color my gray hair and I also told her I wanted a shade of purple. I emphasized greatly that coloring my gray hair was the main reason why I'm here. She did mention that she was just going to use deposits for my hair but never once told me that it wasn't going to fully cover my unwanted grays. I was super disappointed. Also, she told me to wash my treatment out the same night or the next morning. When I did, most of the color came out and I'm not sure if this is the proper way. The shop is a tad small but the atmosphere and the workers are some of the nicest i've ever met. I got a cut and color for only $76!
