I was looking for a place for my daughter's first haircut, as well as a trim for myself, and after a lot of searching, I decided on The Frame Salon. Brent was our stylist, and he was extremely calm, kind, and pleasant to work with. He cut and styled both my hair and my then six-year-old daughter's. He made her first haircut a genuinely happy and fun experience. She asked for bangs and a bob, and it turned out to be the cutest hairstyle I've ever seen on her (see photo). Even now, long after it's grown out, she still asks to get the same haircut again. It was a great experience overall. The price was higher than a typical children's haircut, but it was well worth it for such a positive, comfortable experience--especially for a first haircut. Mayra the owner was so rude not only to me but also the employee cutting my hair. After Mayra came to fix the layers that had already been cut, she gaslights me when I'm disappointed that my hair ended up much shorter than expected, and insists on curling my hair because they would be able to better see how to blend the layers which I had never heard of? Alternatively, I always request a straight blowout so that I can actually see the layers and make sure the Cut is good.... I see Mayra glaring and whispering to the employee who made a suggestion while she was cutting, clearly knowing something was messed up but they kept denying any mistake, stating this is what I wanted when I had asked for long layers + a 1 inch trim.. they said the length "is still there" pointing to a small sliver of longer hair (that was still much too short...) and end up cutting off that tail too when I stated I didn't ask for a "U-shaped cut." Gigi was kind and tried to help the situation but after multiple people made multiple attempts to fix the Cut, Myra rudely stated I should be on my way when my hair was left half styled... I ask "you're not going to curl my hair?" And she rudely responds "We curled it like 3x already" which was definitely not true, as I stopped the first blowout when I realized the staff didn't even show me the cut before starting to style, and then they started curling before the multiple attempts at fixing my hair were made. No acknowledgment that the poor cut was the reason the three different girls have had to touch my hair and restart the process of styling but ok... beyond the disappointing cut, Mayra's attitude was what really left a sour feeling upon leaving and prompted the review, I would expect better from an owner. read more

And yes i know i had long hair and requested an A line bob with it being longer in the front and shorter in the back but she just chopped it all off and with clippers? I had so much hair in my shirt because the cape was sagging, she couldnt pull that up either? It isnt my first time having a bob hairstyle it isnt about "getting used to". WARNING: I wanted to pamper myself and so I called this salon to see if they had anything available. It was close to the holidays so I gave it a try and they said Yasmine was available for a haircut. She was a really sweet girl however I think she needs tons of practice. I asked for 2-3 inches cut off and she asked me to show her how short I thought that was so I showed her. Then I told her I wanted layers. She started dry cutting my hair but I didn't see she was using thinning shears to cut the ends. She was also cutting my split ends when I asked what she was doing. She said after she washes my hair she will cut more and the layers. Water was cold and she asked me if it was too cold but during my shampoo some other stylist guy kept coming up to bother her so it wasn't very relaxing. We started talking and I wasn't watching her cut and she would turn me away from the mirror and that should have been a red flag to me. My hair is completely uneven with NO layers! I am in complete shock!! $75 plus a tip! She can curl hair well to camouflage the mess!! I came to this salon because I have been there before with another stylist but she left and the Frame has been in CH for decades however i am in complete shock I ended up paying so much for a simple haircut to ruin my hair! I actually called the salon on a whim asking if they had a stylist that knew how to work with wigs and synthetic hair. Surprisingly, they did! Her name is Lisa. I needed help with a hair topper synthetic wig that I was having trouble with the hairline. So I wanted fringe bangs to be cut into them. My real hair is pretty thin so I don't even bother cutting it anymore besides trimming it myself. Lisa was pretty knowledgeable and knew her way around wigs and how to cut and style it. I've been going to Simone since 2016 and she has never let me down. She always gets the cut and style right from the reference images I've sent her and she's so good at all sorts of colors. We've done full bright vivids to balayage natural colors and so many in between. My current color combo is in the pic attached. The salon was quick to respond and book my appointment last minute. I went based on yelp reviews. The two ladies I requested based on yelp reviews weren't available. I was booked with Kenzie. Very sweet, kind and friendly young lady. I Enjoyed my complementary glass of wine and shampoo massage. I was there for 4 hours and as you can see on my first two images, my results were less than ideal. Kenzie was able to get me in the following day to fix my hair. She waited for 20 minutes after my scheduled time. Greatly appreciated. Gigi supervised her work the second time around. Results can be seen on the third image. They were both very attentive. Great service. They told me if I wasn't pleased with the tone after a few days to contact them. It is a bit copperish in certain areas. We'll see how it settles. However, at this point I don't think I'll go back a third time to fix it. read more
