Wanted a simple balayage got orangutan orange highlights. And paid 200 $ for them. Worst experience I've ever had. Everything I was scared would go wrong went wrong. I took my mom here to see Carabeth, I can't say enough about how amazing she is, she also did my daughter's hair and wow, it was hard to believe that she was only 11 anymore, she just looked so beautiful and poised. That and my mother's smile after her visits make me feel very good about this Salon and Carabeth in particular. The people are wonderful, the staff makes you feel very comfortable. I'm a hairstylist and was looking for a salon in Little Rock to do my color on my day off.. I've used this salon in yrs past .. so I called and they had changed stylist and location .. I was given I'm assuming the owner I was there my first trip for a total of 3 hrs for highlights ; keep in mind my hair is 70 percent grey and chin length... I left with my hair wet & no cut due to lengthy time.. made a return appointment they called and cancelled me because my stylist was going on vacation .. no big deal .. so my 2nd visit was for highlights and lowlights to help with grey during the 3 1/2 hr visit she cut my hair which is highly bleached which I cringed knowing that a razor was being used ...I insisted on drying it so I could leave .. she wanted to take me back for more toner and by this time I was anxious to leave being that I have an hour and 45 min to get home so I left without the extra toner she wanted to apply .. got home and my hair was as fuzzy as it could be ... bleached hair and razor looks like a rat had chewed on it ... I appreciate the salon being open to accommodate but I'm pretty sure i will have to cancel my upcoming appointment .. not the way I want to spend my day off and will need a cut with scissors to get my hair back to feeling like hair.. I've never had to spend over 2 hrs at the longest at any other salon for the same service and NEVER had a stylist even think about using a razor this is by far the worst cut and my color doesn't even show the lowlights the money spent was 282. 00 needless to say I didn't leave a tip which is totally not me.. the receptionist asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity .. I said No! Guess he was shocked because last time I left a nice one I was so nervous and upset when I left knowing when I dried it myself it felt like a fuzz ball .. lesson learned .. I can deal with the color I can add toner to get it toned down but I have a hard time cutting the back of hair where its jacked up.. I know it's just hair and it's not the end of the world .. Not only did we have the best conversation and I spent the afternoon laughing, but she really listened to me and gave suggestions when I asked to make sure I was perfectly happy with my hair. I looked at the reviews for Ashley and they were good but I have never had such a bad haircut ever. The color was ok but Ashley was into making "big" hair instead a quality hair cut. She put choppy layers throughout my hair. I tried to get her to fix the back but she kept saying "you want your hair flat". I asked her to stack the back but she didn't know what I was talking about. She thinned the back but I decided that I should just leave well enough alone. read more

This is the worst saolon ever. Think twice about using them. I bought a coupon for them on Groupon for a $35.00 massage. However I found out I was pregnant so I was advised not to use it. So I gave it to my husband. When he went in to get the service they charged him $55.00. After they knew it was already paid for. I called the next day. I was told by Josh that he knows they charged my twice however he would not refund my money just give me an in store credit. I told him I wanted a refund. He informed me I would have to speak with the owner. I left him many messages however he would not call me back. Long story short I had to do a claim with my bank. read more

I made an appointment a few weeks ago with Jennifer for an eyelash extension fill. The salon personnel was very nice (including Jennifer); however I would not recommend getting your eyelash extensions at this salon. They were extremely clumpy (too much glue). They actually hurt. When I had them removed I took a picture (wishing I could upload on here) so that you would be able to see how much glue were on the lashes. They would come out 3 or 4 lashes clumped together. If you have ever had eyelash extensions you know this is not normal. I paid $120 + tip for this fill...it was definitely not worth it. read more

I am currently here on business till the New Year. I needed a touch-up on my roots to keep me looking my best, while I am here. I have a card from my colorist, back home, that shows exactly how and what needs to be done. For whatever reason, the young lady I was given did something completely different. I had a hint of something was amiss when she was blowing my hair out. It has been over a week and several hair washes since that I realize what an awful job was done on my hair. Just sad really. I have since cancelled my next appointment and I would not recommend this location. I realize most would say make the salon fix this issue. However, from the time I arrived I had this gut feeling that I made a mistake. The receptionist was unkind, unwelcoming and I had to beg her for a coffee. Realize that I have never been to this salon and have no idea where things were or even where to put my coat. I was provided no introduction or showing off of the salon. I am a new client from out of state. I would think you would want to show off your business. I understand that people make mistakes, like we all do, but the young lady knew (when she was blowing out my hair) that something was amiss and decided to do nothing. The environment seemed sad. No one was smiling, laughing or enjoying themselves. I have no trust in that environment. They could very easily make the mistake worse. Why was someone not following this young ladies work? Just too many questions and not enough confidence for me to go back and trust them to do the job right. The only thing positive was the recommendation for the MoMo conditioner, which was spot on for me and I thank her for that. I am from the North East and I do see a high end salon, when I am home. If you advertise yourself as such, then you need to provide such service. In my personal experience and review I would not consider this salon to be one of a high end. I would not recommended due to the inability to follow instruction or to provide stellar service. I realize that this is my experience and my view, but I have been to many salons in the country and I provide each location ample opportunity to bring in what is needed for my hair color. If you carry the line I use (hence the reason I contacted you) and I give you the color variations, then you should be able to provide the service, period. read more

I am always skeptically of trying out new places and in this case rightfully so. I got the bikini wax. The price at check out was not the same price as was listed on the website. The technician was quite quick but not in a good way. There were several missed spots. I have gotten several done before that were extremely precise even inspecting at the end for any missed pieces to pluck out. This was not the case at Studio2121 at all. I don't feel like the technician even looked when she was "finished." Definitely not going back. read more
