I just had another great experience here at Studio 2121 on Wednesday this week. I must say I have been coming to this amazing salon and spa for over 12 years an every time Nancy Young the owner makes me look and feel so beautiful . I tried a new treatment for split ends and y'all IT WORKED so good . I didn't even need a trim after it an it will last for a good while . I came for a root color an we put some blonde around my face and I love it! Everything was great until I go to the cut. I naturally curly hair and I did ask before booking if the stylist doing my hair is comfortable with curly hair. I was told yes and that wash and straightening process was fine. I got the worst hair cut of my life, I couldn't even say anything at the salon because I was so upset I just paid got in my car and cried! I asked for little layers and I got a butcher cut! The layer are completely uneven and I was told only 1 inch would be taken off the length and it's more like 3 to 4 inches off. I hate my hair and there no fixing it because I normally wear my hair curly in it's natural state and it shrinks up so cutting it more would just make it worse. I do not recommend you get your hair cut there at all. read more

This was my second visit but I will absolutely not be back. I came in with blonde hair dark roots and asked for the first picture (long orange/red) hair. I said I realized I didn't have the length, but I wanted that color Stylist said she could do it and set to work She washes out and is starting to blow dry when I HAVE to stop her since it's literally brown on top and pink on the bottom. She then said that since my hair was damaged when I came in that there was a chance this would of happen. This would of been since to know BEFORE and I would of had her do something else. Felt very much as if they were blaming me and not taking accountability for what happened. Just talking about me like I wasn't there "she just sees it dark". Like no it was dark brown. Owner comes over and tried to help the stylist fix it. They mostly got the pink out. Still way too dark. Still NOTHING like what I asked for. 4 hours of sitting in the chair and I end up in tears having to pay full price (over $200) for hair that I obviously wasn't happy with. No apology, no acknowledgement, no trying to set up an appointment to see if they can get it what I want. AND she left dye on my forehead. Save your money. Go somewhere else read more

This place is terrible. I've had my hair done here once and it was amazing so I came back to get my wedding hair done and they forgot about me on my wedding day and had someone fill in to do a style I didn't already have planned. I thought things happen, it's okay. Then, I had an appointment scheduled for a haircut and she had to cancel so I rebook to try to get another one and that person bailed too and they had someone fill in- she cut my hair at different lengths to where one side was longer than the other. I specifically asked her if she has experience cutting curls, and she lied and said she did. So when she blew out my hair, it looked good-- but I have naturally curly hair- so when I go natural, it looks AWFUL. It's $75 haircut from a greenhorn that butchered my curls and I had to fix it myself. Never going back. TERRIBLE. read more

PRO: The people running this place need a salon take-over! At least on a management perspective. I went in for just a blowout for a big party later that night. Old stylist was in Vegas so needed new one. Fell in LOVE with the young stylist. We discussed my hair- a good cut for my texture, what I needed and didn't need. She was "newer" but not right out of school. I could tell she was a natural because I have fine hair but tons of it, with that being said I have to go through my list of dos and don'ts of cutting my type of hair, she knew my list! I've had stylist that have been cutting for 10+ years that don't know basic things like that!! HUGE CON! I asked up front before I left, the best way to make an appointment. The "boy" up front and whoever standing up front gossiping with him said make appointments on-line. Later that evening I went on line to make an appointment for the next week for a cut. I noticed there was another person with a similar name but my person was not listed. She has been employed for way over 6 months. (Find out later this was intentional, so petty) I chose the name I thought was correct, HOWEVER went into detail about my last visit. Described my stylist, gave the name, and went into detail about my predicament. I figured they had enough common sense to read the appointment request and figure out who I'm speaking of, I mean it was obvious I left a note! It was almost a week before anyone contacted me and then it was by phone. They acted as if they had NEVER received an on-line appointment request before! He was "just sooo confused... ok now WHO do you want to see again??" As you can understand I felt real special right then. I was angry, I went through all the trouble of going on-line explaining everything!! So I went through the spill again. Described my person I wanted, exactly where her chair was. So to make this not even more drawn out you've got the gist of what I'm dealing with at this "place". If it wasn't for my really liking the stylist I would have ran as fast and far away from that place as I could. Because it only gets worse! I show up for my appointment, which takes me a 40-45 minute drive, only to be approached by a girl telling me I'm a little late but she can get to me. I thought she was just washing my hair or something... Then she asked me how I wanted her to cut my hair.... . Idiot at front desk booked me with wrong person. I was pissed. SO while I was there I said hi to the person I was supposed to see, (who of course had no knowledge of an appointment) and made my way up front to make an appointment. After boy was through gossiping and perfecting his nasally valley girl persona, he had the nerve to ask "do you just want to reschedule on-line?". If looks could kill. They cancel on me morning of, like 2 hours before, said they can't get in touch with my stylist, no show, can someone else cut my hair? . Pissed, and I DON'T believe them. I think they are liars and either Gossip Valley Boy has an issue with my girl or something. Rescheduled. I rescheduled for the next Thursday. I show up, in the middle of a horrible rainstorm. Horrible driving conditions. Guess what?? She's not there they don't know if she is sick... I'm just glad I'm on my meds..... I finally get in OMG! So worth the trouble! Remember the pic on Pinterest about 3 years ago with chick that had the cute shorter layered haircut? Everyone saved that pin!! The pic was from the side and she was blonde? Anyway, identical! This girl can cut hair!! My mother who is SO OCD about hair, especially mine, said it was the best cut anyone had ever done! Not style... cut. She told me that "that person knows how to cut"! So to tie up the story, the assholes at 2121 never contacted my stylist, ON PURPOSE!! They thought I was, I guess stupid or naive, and I would just go for it and they could just switch me. Does this sound like a company that goes by good morals or standards? I kept up with my stylist by text after my first cut. WE made sure we had OUR schedule right. Their problem with her? My opinion? Jealousy! She was damn good, didn't stand around and gossip, she stayed busy, triple threat! Lol However they are very unprofessional. Not prepared for any situation. Their main concern???...TRY to be and act like a high end place, but it is so obvious they are a bunch of wannabes who want to give off that uppity air when you walk in.... and I will add, it is NOT a very nice warm welcome you receive when you walk in. Everyone, even customers have a sour look on their face and it is very off putting. I hate going to a place of business paying good money only to be made to feel like I'M bothering THEM! This I blame on the owners...you can't be friends with your employees.....and you can't play favorites! I felt unsure what to do my first visit, afraid to touch anything, and could not wait to be called back because it was so uncomfortable up front, and I have money!! read more

Every time I have came to Studio 212 it has been an excellent experience! My girl Lauren is a phenomenal colorist! She is also very reasonably on pricing! I have never gotten more compliments of a hair color than I have since Lauren started doing my hair. She isn't new to the stylist world, and she keeps her education very updated. I made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon for a facial. I used the Salon's website to book my appointment-- at least, I tried to. The Salon responded with their available time. I responded one minute later and said that'd be great. That's where the trouble started. The email (that they provided) bounced back. I sent a followup email, and it also bounced back. I called, no one answered. I sent another email-- it bounced back too, but somehow they replied to it anyway and told me that the time they had offered and I had accepted was no longer available. I asked how that was possible, since I responded one minute after they offered the time. (That email bounced back too). They responded (how are they responding to these emails that all come back to me as undeliverable?!) and said "A simple mixture of human and technological error." Even if they could schedule me, I would not be comfortable at such an unprofessional and borderline rude salon. Good luck to anyone who tries. I probably can't get a refund for my Groupon, either, but I'd rather just eat the $40 than go to this place. read more

I had an amazing experience with Mary! I had a facial with chemical peel - Mary is very knowledgeable and knew by looking at my skin that a chemical peel that I was asking for was not the best idea and I was thankful because she was right! She knew just what to put on my skin and when to take it off- my skin looked and felt amazing afterwards! With the chemical peel she know that I would not do well because my skin is sensitive, so she knew to only leave on a for a short amount of time and she never left me - she stayed bedside with me the entire time.
