The guy who cut my son's hair, Quinton, was so kind as to come back to the shop at 8:00pm, after his church services, to take care of us. On top of that, he did a GREAT job; my son couldn't stop looking in the mirror. Quinton took his time and was very detailed. Every other stylist and barber that I've come across in my two visits to this shop have been so helpful and so friendly. Convenience is everything! Last week Claudette's team took down my knotless braids, washed and conditioned my hair and Claudette put in my new crochet braids! Claudette made my crochet braids look like a sew-in weave with a natural part! Claudette takes her time and explains anything you want to know about the type of braids you are wanting. I week…read moreprior to dealing with this business, I scheduled an appointment to get a baby curl twist hairstyle. That was cancelled, because the previous stylist said that the style I wanted would take 2 days and would be more involved. Before you say anything, I went to her for a consultation, for her to assess my hair, and to show her what I wanted. When she realized she made a mistake, she referred me to a woman named Amy. After talking to her and her saying she could do my hair the next day, I started to unbraid my hair. She calls back after I had unbraided about one fourth of my hair to say that she had to reschedule for next week. I had braid my hair back again and go to work with it looking partly done. I don't know how I pulled that off, but I did. I arrive for my appointment the following week ten minutes early. The work hours were printed on the door. On their website it says they are open from 8 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Sunday. On the door they are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM. My appointment was at 10 AM. There was no there. I texted Amy to see if she was on her way to the salon. After not receiving a response. I called her. Instead of picking up the phone, she texts me back saying that she couldn't talk to me right now and that she will call me later. I said that I have an appointment with her right now. Then, she proceeded to text me back in terribly broken English something about an emergency room and that was it. She is obviously the sole owner and stylist, because no one else was there to tell me "We're sorry to inform you that Amy cannot do my hair today" or "Can we reschedule your appointment" or "We're sorry for the inconvenience and we'll give you a discount." Luckily, after driving all over the city of Houston, I was able to find someone that could do my hair, since it was unbraided and embarrassing. Lastly, and I hate to bring this up, but this is what when you deal with people in this type of neighborhood. They stay in the hood or the ghetto for reasons like this. She doesn't even have the decency or the common sense to call me back.

Along with a couple of people who worked with her from another well known salon. They are Shirley, and Sandy. All do very good work as well as the ladies who were already here!!! They all do very professional work. Cuts, color, styling, you name it. Irma has been cutting my hair I think for close to 25 years and she does men's hair and cuts mine using a straight razor. I think the razor cut on my hair works really great and I've never been disappointed! A very nice place in a great location. I highly recommend them! Great for anyone!
