the absolute WORST WORST WORST. My mom, sister and I all did a class here back in Oct 2021. Elizabeth Lindberg (the owner) taught. I'll get to why our horrible experience from 4 months ago sadly recently resurfaced. Anyway, it was an early morning class and my mom, older sister and I went. It was just us three plus 1 other woman. Everything inside is so ugly and green it's almost blinding but I was willing to overlook the awful aesthetic. Aside from being a complete ripoff of the one true and only great reformer studio, SLT, it was a completely uninspired, boring, choppy class with no real new ideas.  She kept coming up to my strong, in-shape, amazing mother and saying rude things about her age. Very subtle but completely obvious digs. Like "okay now grab handles 1 or 2. 2 is harder so you may not be able to..." my mom without blinking grabbed number 2 with ease. Elizabeth says, in the same tone a kingergartender would use with a 4 year old "wow you are so strong! look at you! I guess you can grab 2!!"  I of course refused to ever go back after just 2 sessions (the first one was just me and my sister and it was fine). Unfortunately there is a lack of decent pilates studios in Dallas, so my sister kept going back here. All of a sudden these idiots randomly decide to make everyone's membership unlimited. So no one can get a spot in the class!!! It's ridiculous. So my sister confronts this loser and she basically does nothing and *shocker* proceeds to be rude. Goes off on some completely irrelevant tangent about how she had to sell some reformers during covid and doesn't have that many left... like what? not what we're talking about. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PATHETIC ESTABLISHMENT.  Not that you'll be able to get a reformer reserved anyway! the idiots made everyone go unlimited so you won't find a spot regardless lol...Rude, condescending customer service. Ageist, horrible owner who mansplains everything (talk about a traitor to women) and likes to talk down to you about your body. The MegaReformer is an intimidating machine. I had never tried a MegaReformer until a few years ago. There are straps, springs, platforms that move and platforms that do not move. Fortunately for us, we have Studio 6 to help with decoding Pilates! Here are a few hints I have for people who are new to Studio6: * It is hard (and I say this as a marathon runner). It is meant to take your muscles to exertion but in a low-impact way. Unlike most strength training classes I had taken previously, the goal is to have the correct technique for as slow as possible. Expect that you will be out of your comfort zone for at least the first 10 classes while you learn the terms and techniques. Be patient. I would also add that for most people, I would not take more than 2x a week for the first couple of weeks, but would listen to your body. * Since the classes are small, you benefit from being able to enjoy great coaching from the instructors as well as being able to watch your classmates for the right technique. * The environment is very welcoming and friendly, even though in every class there is a wide range of abilities. No one will roll their eyes if you decide to take a brief rest. The instructors will usually offer at least 2 additional ways to make the baseline exercise either easier or harder. Overall, I have found Studio 6 to be a great way to help with my strength training goals without worrying about overtraining or injury. read more

I love Studio 6! I mainly take their Pilates classes on the reformer machine. It is a hard, full-body, hits every muscle, workout. I have taken off my last 10 pounds of baby weight and have toned up and look leaner than before. Hard workout, great instructors, good music, clean, nice studio. I can't say enough good things about Studio 6! A few months ago when the Park Lane location opened up I thought I would try out a few classes. I had never done a Pilates class on the reformer machine before. It took a few classes to get the hang of it, but the instructors demonstrate and can help you out. I really like the look that Pilates gives - long, lean, defined muscles. No bulk. Between Studio 6's two locations, they have classes most hours of the day. It's a fantastic work out and actually my back has never felt better. I don't wake up with lower back pain anymore and I think it has to be because of Pilates. What an amazing place! Where to begin...I discovered Studio 6 almost two years ago, and haven't done any other workout since. The workout is amazing- there are like 500 different exercises, so no two classes are ever alike. I tend to follow Risa and Sarah around because they both teach when it is convenient for me (and because they're both awesome), but ALL of the instructors are wonderful- you can't go wrong with any of them. Elizabeth, the owner (and also an instructor) is so nice, too. Now, for the results: I go consistently three times a week and it has transformed my body (my husband has told me so!). I'm stronger than I've ever been, and have long, lean muscles. I highly recommend it to anyone who has been looking for something new, different, and fun, with great people. read more

Studio 6 classes are hands down the best workouts. I thought I was in great shape from running when my friend brought me in for a class, and it kicked my butt! It still kicks my butt every time (in a good way of course!) and the instructors always have ways to make it easier or harder to adjust to everyone's level. The instructors are so great and encouraging and make the workout so enjoyable and fun with music and encouragement. Usually I get sick of classes if I do them too often, but not this one. It has made my body so much more tone and so much stronger. They also have a great selection of clothes, jewelry, and candles that are to die for. I am a type of person who does lots of different workout because within 3-4 months I get bored. Nevertheless, I have been with Studio 6 for over 2 yeas (and became a century member). I recommend Studio 6 because the instructors and the workout are great! The best part is that it is appropriated for nearly all ages and body type; it can be seeing by simply attending a class. As I told a friend of mine, I won't change this workout for anything else because the schedule is flexible and you just have to follow the instructor's directions. The 50 min. workout helps you with body strength and mind, specially because you feel that the staff there really cares for you! Studio 6 Fitness is the best! I go to the one at Park Lane and it's amazing. I hadn't done Megaformer before. I've gone to 9 classes and I've already started to see some improvements in my body (no joke, I was shocked). I've never seen changes this fast in my whole life. I think it's because you move muscles that other types of workouts just ignore. The instructors are great, and make you feel comfortable no matter what your level is. The 50 min class might seem like a lot, but once you're in there you see how it's the perfect amount of time to get the workout that will give you visible changes. I've been coming here for 2 years now and I'm still in love with this place. I've taken months off here and there to try other studios and gyms around Dallas but I keep coming back because the megaformer is the best full body workout I've encountered. You get cardio from all the quick transitions with the added bonus of strength training. And every time I leave to try to get more into cardio (because us girls are obsessed with trying to do high intensity cardio for weight loss) I become noticeably weaker and lose muscle mass and have to retrain all those muscle groups you just don't target at the gym or at other group classes. I've been an avid runner but was constantly injured from the consistent impact on my joints. I decided to try pilates after being referred by a friend, and have been hooked for over three months! The staff is amazing and remembered me after just a class or two. They really make exercise worthwhile, as it feels like you're working out with friends. I have been working out at Studio 6 for 18 months. It is the best exercise I have ever done and it is a new challenge every single time. The instructors are awesome, the studio is inviting and the merchandize is irresistible! If you are not in shape, the instructors will work with you to get you to the next level. If you are in shape you will find that it is still very challenging. I was glad to see my husband (who is a runner/biker/skier) to work up a sweat on the Megaformer in the first 10 minutes! I have exercised for years and competed in many sports but after having children later in life, I found it hard to get back in the "traditional gym". A friend encouraged me to try Studio 6, Megaformer Pilates. I took my first class in October, and within a month purchased a membership. Now, I feel re-energized, stronger and motivated. This is my very favorite place to workout! No matter how many times I go, I always get a good workout and feel it the next day. The trainers at Studio 6 are really what make the classes. They are so hands on and really get to know every person individually. All of the teachers are great, but I love love love Annie and Emily!!! I love Studio 6! I started going there when the Preston Forest location first opened, about two years ago. I had been an avid runner for years but I was feeling it in my knees and didn't think running was doing enough to strengthen my body. The Studio 6 workout is so intense and challenging, even two years late!. It has made me so much stronger! My body has totally changed. It's the best 50 minute workout you can get! I cannot say enough good things about Studio 6! I've been taking classes since they opened over 4 years ago. I was hooked after my first class. Each class and each instructor is completely different and offer modifications to customize the workout to make it your own. I have only been twice and I have been to the Studio 6 Fitness at Park. This is the missing link for me. I walk 10K to 15K daily and I'm starting to run on my treadmill to lose left over baby weight! My core and my muscles have been screaming for this attention. The classes are doable and you are so focused on what you are doing in the present moment that the time flies by. I started classes about two months ago and at first thought I could not get thru a class. Now, I enjoy the workouts, feel fabulous when they are done, and know if I don't go regularly, I will have to start over again. I have done the megaformer class and the barre class, love them both. The staff and instructors and very friendly, and motivate you during the workout. I have never done any kind of class regularly and especially love the strength training, which is soooo good for your body. read more
