While living in Uptown I really enjoyed working out here; but the experience with the owner was so sour I never want to join a barre studio again. After a few weeks of working out I fell in love with the dynamism and difficulty of the class, so I entered into a year-long contract. About six months into the contract, I stumbled onto a terrific opportunity to purchase a house way outside of Dallas County, which precluded me from using the studio ever again. I never once asked to exit my contract; I had entered into an agreement, and intended to honor it. So I patiently paid the exorbitant monthly fee for another six months. At month 13, I received another monthly charge. Nothing that I had read in the MindBody app or on their website implied that the service would auto-renew. When I confronted the owner about this, she steadfastly refused to honor the original terms of our contract, and intimated that the "change in terms" had been communicated a month prior. Not that I had been given an option to auto-renew, but that I had been lumped into a new system. She refused to be honorable in the transaction, and I'm disgusted with myself for capitulating to the terms of our contract when she did not find it fit to reciprocate. read more

I have been looking for a workout that I love in Dallas and one that I can consistently go to. My friend referred me to Pure Barre and I was excited to give it a try. While I feel like the workout was good, there were a few downfalls to the studio. Staff was incredible and very helpful in explaining what to expect before starting, however, I feel like I was really pushed in to buying a membership when I wasn't ready. The follow up that they do is super intense and while some may find this helpful, I felt it to be a bit pushy as I wanted the time to make a decision for myself. Also, parking was really limited, but that may be expected in Uptown. I loved the workout and think I would see a lot of changes in my body from consistently doing this, but because of the other challenges, I will be attending a different studio consistently. read more

If you want to get a toned bod, then Pure Barre is the way to go about doing so! I went to one in-studio class and two pop-up classes at Athleta. Each time, I got an amazing workout and was super sore days afterward. I fully intend on signing up for their one month of unlimited classes deal for $99! The studio is small, but so are the movements so you don't need much space. I attended a class with maybe 20 other people? Even with a packed class, it didn't seem crowded. It also seemed to me that the other ladies (and one gentleman) were regulars so they knew what to do and what to expect which made me feel happy to know that if I kept going it would eventually feel less foreign. I had a horrible barre experience at this location and will never return. I was a couple classes into my unlimited month, getting into the swing of things, then all went south. A few minutes into the workout, I noticed my calf getting a little tight so I stopped, did a little stretch, and got back into it. A few minutes later my calf LOCKED UP. I am no stranger to charley horses, but this was by far the most painful, intense, and long lasting one I have ever had. I immediately fell to the ground, was in unbearable pain, tears in my eyes, and the instructor didn't come over. After about a minute of this horrible pain, she came over, asked what was going on, and she said ok well just stretch it. After another minute without ANY relief, again still writhing on the ground in terrible pain, she never came over. I was able to get enough relief by myself to limp out into the hallway, still bawling. The receptionist asked what was wrong, gave me water, then went back to her convo with another employee while I cried on the bench. No offer to stretch me out. No ounce of extended caring. At this point, I can't trust that Pure Barre has my best interest in mind and therefore canceled my membership. There's far too many gyms out there, including ones that offer barre, that genuinely care about their clients. read more

I love working out at Pure Barre! I've been at it for about 10 months and have 100% seen a difference in my body and my strength.

I definitely do not recommend PB. First off, the staff isn't very welcoming, and when I had some questions before my first class, which I arrived about 15 minutes early so that I wouldn't hold any up, I was quickly brushed off and was given a look like "why am I here". I work out about 6 times a week and I've attended barre classes before, so I definitely know the format of barre and the proper way to work out, but since I was new to this studio I wanted to make sure I had everything in line to be prepared for the class. Anyway, I signed up for the $99 new client special and after giving it a shot by taking a few classes I figured this place wasn't for me. The instructors verbally say the moves, but come on, demonstrate it so that we can see how it's done instead of assuming everyone has been there for 6months+ (which I could tell a lot of the attendees have been there for a bit since they had the warm up pretty much down). The classes are pretty much the same every. time. and I felt that they weren't even that intense. the only reason why I would sweat is because they keep that room hot and the place is always crowded..and small. So if you're looking for a very intense work out, I wouldn't suggest this place. I guess this place isn't for everyone because it definitely wasn't for me. I did ask for a refund back and got $11 back haha, but I guess I appreciate something back rather than nothing. read more

I have been going to PB for 5 months now and attend at least 4 - 5 classes a week. Currently I am 14 lbs down and do not plan to quit any time soon! PB has upped my confidence, kicked my seat and helped with my flexibility! I was actually shocked when I first started to see results since it is a low impact class. Some days I can leave without a drop of sweat and others I leave shining like a sparkle. Definitely depends on what you put into it. I 100% recommend PB to anyone looking for a new workout to start. I love pure barre, and i love this location! It is really convenient. People complaining about parking- there is a parking garage literally around the corner from the studio. I discovered Pure Barre almost 6 months ago and I am sooo happy I did! The moment you walk into the studio you are greeted warmly by the barre tenders at the reception desk. I started taking Pure Barre about a year and a half ago, but recently moved and switched to this studio about 5 months ago. The owner, MO, was extremely welcoming and worked with me to find the best membership package for me. There's a great selection of class times, they have good merch sales, and the membership perks (free water bottles and guest passes) are great. I really wanted to like this place. I am 6m post delivering a baby and wanted to build my core. Location is awesome but parking sucks. It's on a busy main road so good luck finding parking if you're not working out at 6am. I showed up 15 min early for a 7am class as recommended by a very long email they send after reserving the spot because I'm new BUT the door was locked. I parked my car across the busy road because I was confused ‍ as to why it was locked. I sat in my car like an idiot. I could've sleeping at home! I saw students filter out from the 6am class so then decided to walk in. The front desk girl aka the instructor was shy and timid. She didn't even acknowledge me. I walked up to her and she was like "put your shoes there and then grab equipment from the back"....ummmm what equipment?? Hello I'm new like I said. I didn't even break a sweat in the class. The instructor never made eye contact. She kinda stared at the ground the whole time. I ended up running on Katy Trail for a better workout. I've worked out for a while. I've had memberships at 24hrfitness, The Dallas cheerleaders boot camp, flywheel/flybarre, Barry's boot camp, Camp Gladiator, Tracy Anderson and Equinox. Save you're money if you are looking for a solid kick butt 45-55min workout - this is not the place. You can tell by half of the girls who attend. I'm not judging but I like to surround myself around people whole love a sweat and need a good ass kicking. read more
