Grip socks are required and they have some for purchase. I purchased some for $20. I was accidentally overcharged but i called bad left voicemail and within 24 hours had a refund. I started practicing pilates on the reformer in 2014 at a different Pilates Studio. In 2021, after struggling through covid shutdowns and schedule changes and working from home with new work hours, I quit. By the summer of 2023 the same ache's and pains that made me start Pilates in the first place were back. I bought a package of 10 classes at Studio 6 since it was closer to my house than my old studio, and never looked back. Studio 6 is amazing. It is the BEST Pilates studio in Dallas. The staff is helpful & friendly, and the instructors are amazing! It is a wonderful community. The workouts are challenging and the instructors are top notch. ...i HATE giving bad reviews and honestly would let the class "slide" without posting my experience bc maybe it just "wasn't a good fit for me" but the receptionist was over the top rude so I had an overall bad experience. Tried new studio through class pass while looking for other studios to join but this was not my fit. I like people to be friendly. ...When I arrived the fire alarm was blaring throughout building/parking lot, and security was outside by the steps. People were evacuating their suites. I asked receptionist if we were evacuating. She laughed/rolled her eyes. No reply. Remained on phone call-pointed at waiver to sign and told me to get a pair of socks. Went into class instructor introduced self and unfortunately never made eye contact w me again. I accidentally chose the one machine not in front of a mirror. Between trying to make eye contact w the instructor for assistance, looking at the parking lot to make sure fire trucks weren't outside as well as even being given a weird rude look by the receptionist (not sure if this is just her face) I was not happy w any of my experience. The class seemed not organized. No guidance. I also have neck issues. No modifications were asked if needed nor were offered. Before I left I gave the receptionist back the socks attempting to tell her I wasn't happy w my experience. She interrupted me and insisted I pay for them. When I told her i felt there were miscommunications between us and I wasn't happy- she again laughed and rolled her eyes and told me she would "make a note about me in the file" Tried to call back to get receptionist name for review-she wouldn't answer. ...Maybe I'm just spoiled at my regular Pilates class where they greet you, give you an option to buy or borrow socks, offer modifications and guidance through the class and their receptionist is professional and kind. Class pass has been notified of my experience and a refund has been requested. Feel that this info needs to be reviewed by management while it was just a bad overall experience. read more

The owner is a fraud who pretends to be about women/motherhood, rather she shames you for being pregnant and not doing moves that are unsafe past your first trimester. There are far better studios around, which are actual licensed larger studios. Do not spend a dollar here. read more

I usually shy away from Pilates, barre, etc.. but after getting into lagree, I've learned the class Studio 6 offers is much more doable for the non-flexible peeps. (like myself haha) I've tried many pilates studios, desperate to find something to change up my boring gym routine; and Studio 6 is by far my favorite. The classes incorporate moves anyone can do with time, but it's of course challenging.. not your regular Pilates class. If you're looking to tone muscles, especially your core and upper body. This is for you. There is also a definite meditation like feel to Studio 6, as I do believe once you get into it and learn the moves you will find it very relaxing. My favorite instructor is definitely Benson. He is ALL core and booty, aka sign me up. They offer student discounts and packages which make it affordable as well - and the app makes it easier to schedule your classes. If you have been turned off by Pilates classes before like I had originally been, give this one a try. And don't forget to bring grip socks! read more

I love taking the Megaformer classes at Studio 6! I've gone a few times and I always feel challenged and I'm sore the next day. The instructors are all super nice and will help you with your form as you go through the class. During this class, you're supposed to perform each move as slowly as possible in order to feel the burn! If your body starts shaking, you're doing it right! Thankfully, the instructors are constantly talking you through the next move, so you can focus on that instead of how hard the current move is. I definitely recommend trying out a class here. This is my favorite Pilates mega former studio in Dallas! It is the best most intense workout of its kind that I have found in Dallas! The studio is located at park lane with plenty of parking within the shooing complex. The studio is bright and clean and the long line of mega formers are set up in front of a wall mirror so you can always keep an eye on your form. The instructors are top notch and always design super intense workouts to really push you to your limits! Kerry is one of my favorite instructors. You never realize how sore your abs can be until you do one of these classes. When you first start, it can be a little difficult to learn the moves but there is a lot of hands on help from the instructor (it isn't easy for anyone!). read more

I recently added Studio 6 to my weekly rotation of workout classes. I have only taken the MegaReformer class****I believe that this location offers Barre Class, but I haven't taken them since I enjoy the MegaReformer Class so much. Instructors-Fit, Positive, and Attentive. These MegaReformers are no joke and having attentive teachers is key. They give you multiple options since some of the workouts can be very challenging. Ana is my favorite teacher. Studio-Clean, Beds are new, bathroom stocked with pre/post workout essentials (Deodorant, hair spray, lotion). A ton of parking! Class-Challenging. Embrace the shakes, those are your muscles changing! Upbeat music to keep me going for the full 50 minutes. The teachers are always mixing up the routine so taking a class every week is different. Try out the MegaReformer class, its the only one in Dallas and make sure you bring grip socks! read more

I have been going to studio 6 for a little over 2 months now, and absolutely love it! I started going to the class as a supplement to my workout regime for my wedding diet. I was looking for something to lengthen and tone my body, and after looking over several different kinds of yoga/barre/Pilates studios, I decided to give studio 6 a try. My first experience was at a mega lite class with Benson, who explained the Megaformer to me thoroughly before starting out. He then proceeded to put us through a full body workout, which was much more strenuous than I anticipated! There are a ton of instructors, and all are very helpful and friendly. There is good availability of classes that I can fit into my hectic schedule. I've already convinced my fiancé to come to class with me, and he is now a regular as well. This review has been long overdue, but after trying out other studios, I can now confidently say Studio 6 is hands down my most favorite Pilates studio in Dallas. Don't be fooled by the Megaformer, y'all. It will kick your butt, but in a really good way. If you're like me, you'll feel that awesome soreness even a few days after the workout, which is evident of how toned your muscles are getting! (Am I right??) All the Studio 6 instructors are amazing too! I've been to Austin H and Sarah W's classes more, but all the instructors are very helpful in demonstrating the moves and giving instructions on how to set up the Megaformer. They'll take you through a 50 minute all-body workout, particularly emphasizing moves that will work legs, booty, arms, and abs. Another little detail that's awesome about Studio 6 is the setup of the Megaformers: they're actually staggered! What this means is that you won't awkwardly bump into your neighbor during moves because the Megaformers alternate in terms of their placement. For studio amenities, there's plenty of parking as Studio 6 is nestled within the Shops at Park Lane. The space itself is very clean as well, decorated in hues of a light green, white, and pale wood accents. Little cubbies are also available in case you want to store any valuables. The only requirement Studio 6 has is to wear grip socks! If it's your first visit, they'll lend you a pair for free that you return at the end of class. Otherwise, you can rent socks for $3 per class or buy a pair for ~$20. All in all, I love Studio 6 for my toning needs. I can't wait to come back and pulse it out with y'all! read more

I have to preface this review with a warning that the first class is tough (because you're learning how to use the equipment and achieve proper form/alignment), but it's so well worth it after repeated visits. You'll definitely start to feel and notice a change within yourself. The studio, itself, is pretty basic--clean towels for use--with 10+ reformers. Class size is usually small, and you definitely get personalized attention from the instructors, although you'll have your favorites. I highly recommend Kerry's class, as she corrected me on form, even while I was struggling to hold on to some poses. Also, each teacher offers modifications if you've sustained an injury. The class is 50 minutes long, but it doesn't feel that long because the teachers keep you engaged prefacing each movement with instruction, so you're constantly thinking about the next move instead of the one your holding. Your muscles become fatigued and do tremble after each isometric hold, but that's really the beauty of it all! Resistance is added via yellow and blue springs attached to the front end of the reformer, which will be added/taken off, depending on which muscle group is targeted. It's a whole-body, condensed workout that might leave you sore the next day but definitely accomplished! read more

The wife and I got to try out Studio 6 for free, and I have to say that Pilates can be really helpful. For example, before I went in to the studio my left knee hurt some (seemed like the pain was stemming from right above where my Sartorius inserts into the tibia). On one of the exercises I felt the muscle freak out a little bit, and then when I walked out of the studio I didn't have that pain anymore. I still don't have that pain. So whatever exercise it was, Pilates corrected a malfunctioning muscle. Pretty cool. Being that it was lunch time I was (again) the only guy in the room. Not really a bad thing, but I thought it was noteworthy nonetheless. One of the ways studio 6 tries to separate itself from the pack is the equipment it uses. Instead of the regular reformer or Cadillac (both I've used before) they use the MEGAFORMER!!! They don't use all caps but I think with a name like that it deserves the distinction. The MEGAFORMER is a variation on the reformer. Essentially it's a sled on rails with spring tension. It's creator, Sebastien Lagree, designed it so that "It brings to Pilates what Pilates was lacking". Namely, it allows more strength training. The class room is pretty intimate, I think they had ten MEGAFORMERS (ß not getting old for me) in all. The class was pretty interesting. The instructor was very good, although sometimes with the audio setup/music it was hard for me to understand her commands so I was left to try to imitate what the person in front of me was doing. Although I typically follow a powerlifting routine, this was a good class for me to take because it worked strength moving laterally as well as work on endurance. After all, it did fix my Sartorius that had gone haywire. Afterwards I definitely felt worn out. Sometimes I will leave a Pilates workout feeling a bit energized, like I just went through a great warm-up, and now I'm ready to hit the gym. This was not the case for me and the MEGAFORMER (ok last time I promise), I felt like I had done a taxing lower body workout. I say lower body because there were not many exercises focusing on the upper body. Perhaps that is because the clientele are mostly women, I don't know. One thing that bothered me was that they require you wear grippy socks. I don't begrudge the requirement because the pads on the MEGAFORMER (I lied) are a bit slippery, but what bothers me is that if you don't own a pair you have to rent out a pair for like $3. I thought that was a bit steep and a bit sneaky. Also, judging by the prices on Amazon the socks that they sell here are a bit overpriced. Guess that's the convenience fee. Overall I think if I had to choose a Pilates studio this place may be the frontrunner. However, I would need to compare the prices between an unlimited monthly pass here vs Classic Pilates and Equinox. I also still really like Classic Pilates for offering a men's only class that is tailored for guys with tight hanmies. read more

In good way :) She pushed us to the limit and every time I would give up on a movement she would encourage me to get back in position! Studio 6 is a really great studio! The staff is friendly, it's clean and this location is fantastic! The only flaw for me is that there isn't a ton of room to stretch before/after class without feeling like I'm in the way. read more

I've been coming here 2 years and I still love it! I've taken months off here and there to try other studios and gyms around Dallas but I keep coming back because he megaformer is the best full body workout I've encountered. You get cardio from the different moves and quick transitions with the added bonus of strength training! Whenever I would leave to try and do more cardio (since us girls are obsessed with high intensity cardio for weight loss) I found myself becoming noticeably weaker and losing valuable core strength and muscle mass In those muscle groups you don't target in other group classes or at the gym. This was the first pilates studio I had ever signed up for. I use to tell all my friends about this place. I stopped going to this studio because of the terrible customer service. I decided to give it another chance and sign up for a class and immediately regretted it. Noel at the park ln location does not understand the meaning of customer service. She is rude on the phone and even more rude in person. A few years ago this studio tried to over charge me. They wrongfully charged me multiple times and When I brought it to their attention they wouldn't accept responsibility and they were so incredibly rude. Customer service was definitely lacking, and unfortunately with Noel on the front, it still is. I'm not sure if they are like this with everyone or if it just me but I really feel very unwelcome here and some of the ladies at the front desk are just awful. I also feel like they might racially profile here. Sucks. Update on review 3/23/18: I received a response to my review by the owner (see below). I thought, oh good! Someone actually cares about customer service at this studio. So I emailed her and explained what happened. I also assured her that I was in fact a member of the studio and that I have been there plenty of times. It took about a week for her to email me back but she emailed to make excuses for Noel's terrible behavior, say she was out of town and asked for my availability. I emailed her back a day later with my availability. Never heard back. Sent a follow up email, still nothing. I find it funny that I got a same day response to my yelp review but I can't even get a call back. Looks like her yelp response was all for show. It seems like the lack of customer service and making clients feel terrible about themselves is a systemic issue that starts from the top. That's unfortunate. read more

Studio 6 is the only studio in Dallas that offers the Lagree method on the megaformer which has been named one of the best workouts by Hollywood stars. It definitely embodies it's six core principles.. Strength, Balance, Core, Endurance, Flexibility and Spirit! It is a full body workout that will leave you with amazing results and wanting more! Best Pilates studio in the area fir the mega reformer! All instructors are well trained and for someone who takes classes 6-7 times a week not on routine is ever the same. Everyone was super friendly - staff & clients! After taking only Pure Barre for almost 3 years, it was nice to be a new client. I had forgotten how humbling that experience can be! If you have never taken a reformer Pilates class, I would advice that you proceed with caution. This is a very fast paced class on a non-traditional reformer. It is a great workout, but I had been taking pilates at a different studio for a while before trying out this studio. It is a high-energy work out that requires you to move very quickly between each position without very much explanation, which is why it is good to have some prior foundational knowledge of the reformer. The instructors are not very hands on unless you are doing something completely wrong. They just make more general corrections/ comments to the class as a whole. If you are like me and like to be corrected during class, then this studio might be a little frustrating to you. But otherwise, I've liked the instructors' energy and how the classes are structured. read more
