I'm leaving this review specifically regarding a service performed by Lexi. I came in with medium-to-dark brown virgin hair and very clearly requested a conservative, cohesive color with soft, diffused dimension -- an overall lightened look that reads as one uniform color. I provided a reference photo and had a detailed consultation beforehand. Unfortunately, the result does not reflect what was discussed. The finished work shows visible, high-contrast surface highlights rather than the soft, blended look I requested. I've attached photos of my hair before the appointment, the reference photo, and the result for clear comparison. Because the outcome missed the mark so significantly, I consulted with a reputable stylist in Los Angeles, where I live. I was informed that the work now requires a full color correction, quoted at $600, to undo and rebalance the highlight pattern. This is especially frustrating given that I started with virgin hair and specifically asked for a conservative approach. Lexi did offer to have me come back in to fix the color, but given the initial result, I no longer felt confident that a corrective outcome could be achieved and did not feel comfortable proceeding. I paid $200 to Lexi for this service. When I followed up with documented concerns about the result, I received a generic "no refunds" message rather than a discussion of the outcome or how it differed from what was requested. This did not feel like a professional or appropriate way to resolve the situation, and I was disappointed by the lack of accountability. To be clear, I want to note that the salon owners were kind and professional when I spoke with them. This isn't a matter of personal preference -- it's a clear mismatch between the requested service and the result delivered. I'm sharing this experience so others can make an informed decision. Extremely Disappointed with My Experience with Lindsey at Studio 900 I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience to hopefully help others avoid the same frustration and disappointment. I reached out to Studio 900 in advance, explained in detail that I was looking for a warm, dimensional brown color (as shown in the photo I provided), and informed them that I would be driving 2 hours to get there. I was reassured that my request was absolutely doable. Unfortunately, the results were the complete opposite of what I had asked for. Lindsey gave me random blonde streaks that bore no resemblance to the inspiration photo. Even more concerning, my roots were left untouched, and when I brought this up, she told me that "changing your root color isn't possible." I've never heard that from a trained professional before, and it left me both confused and disappointed. Still trying to be optimistic, I took Lindsey's suggestion to return for a correction--another 4-hour round trip. The second result was just as disappointing. She darkened my hair overall, but it still didn't match the tone, dimension, or softness I originally requested. My roots still looked the same, and the overall color appeared flat and unflattering. Nothing about it reflected the warm brown shades I had shown her. What made the situation worse was Lindsey's lack of accountability. When I followed up politely to express my ongoing concerns, she eventually stopped responding altogether. I found this behavior unprofessional and dismissive, especially after investing so much time, trust, and money. All in all, I spent 8 hours commuting and paid for a service that left me with results that were not only unsatisfactory, but actually worse than before. I went in with naturally rich brown tones and left with a color that lacked dimension, and professional quality. If you are looking for someone who truly understands brown tones and values customer communication, I would not recommend booking with Lindsey. The worst experience I ever had. read more

Maryam single handedly destroyed my hair and my confidence today. I asked for a LONG bob haircut. Which means longer hair and she cut it way too short and nothing like the inspo video I showed her. Upon telling her that it looks bad, she just said the girl in the inspo vid had a longer neck and so it looks different. I walked out looking like Lord Furquaad from Shrek. Seems like she has no experience and wasn't even using heat protectant before blow drying for straightening but she mentioned she owned a hair salon before..? Money wasted. Let me just say wow! Very professional, kind down to earth, professional stylist here. I have had the chance to speak with the owners, of studio 900 Scott and Bill. They were absolutely wonderful are such caring people I couldn't tell you that enough studio 900 is almost like a family you want to be a part of. I decided to come here from all the wonderful reviews I have read, but I will tell you that does not do them justice if I could give these guys the world I would so kind and real very professional, and willing to do the job that you want they are located downtown very easy to go to. Their salon is super nice and they also have other services being here is like a family I can tell and you can trust them with your hair which I think is a very big deal you don't get this kind of service anywhere nowadays, and the owners again are the kind of people Scott and Bill will go above and beyond for you in any way shape or form I just want to let people to really know from one clients to another what kind of business this is and work ethic that goes into their business there is not a lot of business owners that do this for their customers and stand behind their work and are friendly and caring. If I could give negative stars I would. I can't even explain how incredibly upset I am with the customer service at this business. I started going to this salon a few months ago after moving to the area. The stylist I was using was moving, he recommended another stylist, I introduced myself to her and made an appointment, two weeks ago! The receptionist couldn't figure out how to make the appointment because she said the allotted time I needed for my cut and highlight was 5 hours and I had a mani-pedi scheduled in the afternoon. I've never had a cut and highlight take 5 hours! After speaking to the new stylist and my old stylist the receptionist was informed that it wouldn't take 5 hours, 2-3 at the most. The receptionist took my name and number and said she would get it scheduled. I showed up today at my scheduled time. No one was there, finally, someone showed up at about 9:15 am. I then found out the appointment wasn't scheduled and the new stylist claims she thought the old stylist made the appointment, he did not, nor did he say he would. She then wouldn't do the right thing and reschedule her other clients due to the salon's mistake. Needless to say, I canceled my mani-pedi,...and I really liked her. It's 10:30 am, and I just got a call from the salon trying to blame me for their mistake. The receptionist said she doesn't know who I talked to, I talked to her. The receptionist took my name and number at the time I made the appointment, wrote it on a post-it note, and told me she would schedule my appointment. My 10 year old son got an amazing haircut here! Wash and go ready - he does not like to use product and the cut was made with that in mind. The stylist really cared about what kind of haircut he wanted and I wanted and what would work well with his hair. Most experiences I've had in the quick haircut establishments have been sub par - with product masking a bad haircut. We will definitely be back! read more

She's been the only stylist I've seen over the last year who has actually given me what I wanted in both a cut and color. Plus, she was very warm and welcoming.
