I have been pleased with every transaction I have ever had with this business. I have not had many needs for the last decade because I had stopped doing much sewing until I started a big project this summer so I had my Bernina sewing machine serviced. I can't imagine taking such a good sewing machine as well as my Serger anywhere else. They use a certified Bernina tech so you can drop off your machine at the store and pick it up when it is done, about a one week turn around. I planned mine for when I had an out of town trip planned so I wouldn't even miss it. I bought both of my machines from Studio Bernina when it was still located in a Boulder. More convenient for me but really the current location is fine too. Just plan to head out there when it's not too early or late in the day if you are using Arapahoe. I also bought both my worktables from the store, nicely customized for each machine. Nice set up if you have some spare space, especially when doing big or complicated projects. I also took some classes from Susan and some of her staff at the old location when I bought the machines. Extremely productive classes and very professional teachers. I believe some of the long time staff is still at the Studio. Many of the class topics are very advanced techniques beyond me but I've seen some incredible finished products on display. If you want to learn a lot and want quality machines and service, this is the place. read more

I was so thrilled to find this store. They were all friendly and helped me find a solution to sewing the piping on my pillows that was truly a game changer for me. They had wonderful fabrics and other special items in the store that I have never seen. It was truly fun. There are also a couple of stores, one was a consignment store and another connected that sold clothes and such and a nice looking fish restaurant in the center. It was a fun outing. read more

Brought my Bernina 1000 Special in for service because of issues with tension Repairs promised in 4 weeks, 6 weeks later called to find out the status-still took another week or two. Returned to me with a mismatched replacement knob-mine wasn't broken when I brought it in. I was told some of the screws had been over tightened and the tension mechanism was bent. The only servicing this machine has had was through this store. Not sure if someone dropped my machine and broke the knob but to say I'm less than pleased is an understatement. What is it about small yarn stores, fabric stores, and sewing machine stores that make them so bad at CRM? Is it because they are small businesses-sole proprietorships and their owners have no business training so they don't have a clue how to responded politely to customers? [Disclosure: I am a small business owner myself.] The girls behind the counter were nice but this one older lady (I am guessing she was the owner or manager) was so inappropriate and pushy - the kind of person that makes you want to leave and not return. I will definitely look for another repair shop - we drive to Denver often enough that a professional shop in Denver would be a relief to visit. read more

This store misrepresents sales of their products. On May 29th I purchased (via financing through Synchrony Bank) a Bernina 590E for $7,701.36. After three business hours, I changed my mind on the sale only to speak with the sales person, Pat, to find out ALL SALES ARE FINAL, which is usually an indicator of GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. No verbal mention, no written mention on the sales draft, no store signs, nor web site reference cited this rule. After three calls to the store to find out how to return the machine I was told by Pat there was nothing to be done. I asked to speak with the owner, Vanessa Empire. I have not spoken or heard from the owner--awful, awful management and negligent customer service. As a business owner, the honorable thing to do would be to speak with me about their policies. Nothing. I spoke with the bank and was informed the owner could reverse the authorization essentially canceling the sale, which I texted the owner to inform her, and I called Bernina USA and learned that all dealers may cancel a sale without incurring a restocking fee if the product has not shipped. I sent a certified letter to the owner spelling out all of this information only to have it returned because of a lack of authorized personnel to sign. Never, ever buy anything substantial from this business. You can locate Bernina machines on line with free shipping that are less expensive and offer better customer service. read more

I needed a tune up on my sewing machine & fast! I called a few locations and other stores told me 7-10 days to get my machine back! Here, I dropped it off on Monday and it should be ready on Thursday! I also had several questions regarding thread breakage I have been having, the sales lady was so nice and very helpful! I signed up for a class at Studio Bernina which they cancelled. I have tried in good faith since November 2017 to receive the refund they say they will give if they cancel a class. To no avail. They just now hung up on me, saying they tried to reschedule it and I could not make it. This is true,although I told them at the time that I could not make that class either. This place is a sham business if they do not honor their commitment. I do not recommend this business. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this business for more than 20 years. I have always had great service from them and do not have a single problem during all these years. I took all of Susan's wonderful classes during this time and some of them more then once. There is no place that teaches sewing like them. I was introduced to the Bernina machines by them and I own Bernina machines for many years. They are wonderful. I live a bit far from Studio Bernina, but it is totally worth the trip. read more

I bought my Bernini 740 here two years ago when Susan was the owner. Within a few days I "broke the machine" by doing a zig zag stitch while I was using a straight stitch throat plate. This was totally my fault as I had gone ahead and started learning how to use this "all the bells & whistles" machine without waiting to schedule new-owner sessions. (I didn't know you could use the settings functions to avoid this problem. ) Even so Susan was very kind about it and had the tech fix the machine without a charge. The next two years I little reason to visit the store. But on Dec. 23 of this year I lost my bobbin case, another error on my part (and I still haven't found it!) I had great plans to sew right up to Christmas day but couldn't without a bobbin case. When I finally gave up looking for it I called around to several area stores to find a new one to buy before everyone closed up for the holiday. No one had a case I could buy. Neither did Vanessa, the new owner of Studio Bernina, but she "thought outside the box" and offered to sell me a case from an unsold 740 in the store. And because the cases for the newer 740s had a very slight update to them, she sat down at my machine and made sure the case would work. Because of her excellent customer service I was able to complete my holiday projects. It also made it easy for me to decide where to take my 740 in for a routine cleaning and checkup last week. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon and am a very happy customer. read more
