Our boy was there from 6 months - 18 months in 2021-22. He had a wonderful time. We found the staff very accommodating and incredibly friendly. They LOVED our boy. The place was always clean and we felt very safe sending him there. We always had open and honest communication with the owner - we didn't speak much with her husband but he seemed a-OK! I'm writing this review after having pulled my son out 2 years ago. There are places you think back to and think wow what a great place for a child and then there are places you're like what was I thinking. We were one of the first people to send our son when they opened. Sima and Zia are very......clinical. Sima may be a very loving person but it's frankly hard to say. She seems very stern and was often difficult to talk to. She didn't chitchat and I've only seen her pick up children rarely. There are these sheets you pick up when you pick up your child that are like his report card for the day and often, I'd ask- how'd he do? In a chit-chatty way and Sima would say - read the paper - without much emotion. Zia tends to sit at a desk near the door and frankly was more friendly. There was a constant turnover of caretakers it seemed and a LOT of kids (this was precovid). My son got sick a lot and we ended up pulling him bc he had like 5 infections in like 2 months. The place comes across as a business which it is but you'd hope for more emotion given that it's based around kids. Mmmm good luck with this place. I see the glowing reviews and the negative ones and I believe the latter just a bit more. read more

Our son truly lived his best life at SCCC and we will be forever grateful to Sima and the incredible teachers here for such a wonderful first daycare experience. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful staff and facilities at Studio City Child Care. My son has been attending for the past year and every morning he runs into daycare without so much as a glance back to me to say goodbye. While this momentarily crushes me, it is such a relief to know he's so happy there. The staff is so loving and always welcomes him with open arms (literally). Another added bonus is meals are provided so I'm not spending my mornings scrambling to pull meals together. And they're so accommodating! When my son was coming home hungry after daycare, they happily added in an additional snack for him. I know some of the reviews can seem like a deterrent. I felt the same way after first but I am so happy that we chose SCCC for our child. (especially after having to pull him from a less than ideal home daycare situation). read more

Cannot say enough good things about Studio City Childcare!!! We have been coming here for 6 months and the facility is ran in an organized but welcoming way that helps put you at ease as a parent. I love that they make all their own food and have you bring everything needed initially so that on a day to day basis you only need to worry about bringing your little one and not a bunch of extra stuff! The teachers are truly so sweet and always have the best attitude. My son has always enjoyed going to school there and is always excited to go! He rarely even says bye to me these days as he is so excited to get in and play Sima and her husband have always been very kind and offered prompt responses to questions and run their daycare with care and detail. We have been with SCCC for all three of our children. We consider ourselves so incredibly fortunate to have such a high quality daycare and preschool in our neighborhood for our children. All of our children have thrived under Sima and Zia's care. At both facilities they have small child/baby to teacher ratios. We have been so happy with every teacher our child has had. We have to give one giant shout out to Diana at the preschool. Our daughter adores "nana" and she has learned so much and most importantly has experienced so much love and security at SCCC. Five stars to SCCC because the level of care and cleanliness of this facility are really top notch. Sima is calm, collected, kind and efficient. They go by the book on everything. This is what made me feel comfortable leaving my 5 month old in her care. All the girls are sweet and loving and there are many other babies the same age as my daughter, which was really great to see her socializing with other babies. Love that they take pics of the kids playing so I can see what they're up to. The toys are spotless. They wash the kids' hands before and after and they do a diaper check upon arrival. Our son had an exceptional experience at SCCC. We never dropped him off worried as he always came home with a smile on his face. From the moment we enrolled our son, we felt welcome and assured we had made the right choice. We were enrolled from Nov 3rd 2020 to Feb 25th 2021, 4 months (a little less with the holidays). That is a few months to us so I described it as such. We knew nothing about your need to raise prices to survive. This is unfortunate because it feels similar to how we knew nothing about the grievances you all had with us and our son until that unprofessional call. It seems like there is a pattern of throwing things in our faces for the sake of unpleasantry after the fact. We wish you shared your financial struggles with us. Instead, you doubled-down on trying to treat our change as a new enrollment, which was not right based on the contract. Had things been less transactional, you may have communicated something like, "I understand you are locked in on rates per our contract, but would you mind meeting us in the middle between your locked rates and new rates? We are struggling right now and have had to increase our rates significantly for new enrollments". We would have been understandable. That would have been the most decent thing to do, especially since it was only 2 months since we had enrolled. We've never had any issues with the caregivers. The only unfriendliness we experienced was with you, which we had never communicated and just accepted. I don't think it's fair to deflect to the caregivers again. We've had many pleasant discussions with them at pick-up. We are parents. It's hard to convince that a parent would drop off their precious child with an angry, mean, or sullen face toward someone who is going to be spending the entire day with their child. We were all smiles when kissing our son goodbye at drop-off as I would never kiss my son goodbye with a sullen face, or pick him up with a sullen face. He literally lights up our lives. In that unprofessional call we had, I think you all would have mentioned these supposed sullen faces too, had it been true. As we mentioned on that unprofessional call, no parent was parked out front or present when we'd drop our son off and the door was having issues. Your door un-safety issue that we had a concern about was never related to the cases where parents purposely leave the door open as a courtesy to another parent. I hope that, if nothing else, this review encourages you to fix your door. I am still shocked by your claim that we had a few discussions about photos. It was one time. I wouldn't feel comfortable commenting about this publicly before checking and I reviewed every email and text after the unprofessional call and before writing the initial review. It's obvious you haven't checked which is careless. We didn't speak in person, so all of our contact was via email and text. Where is the email or text proof of these few discussions about photos? We sent one curious email about the missing Thanksgiving photo, and then you texted the Thanksgiving photo of him crying in the photo which is why you didn't post it. We completely appreciated you sending that, and understood and that was that. We didn't think there were any issues between us with that email or text. Your response says you "proved that was not the case". It's not true. We both have the email and text to prove it. In the text you actually admitted he was the only one who didn't have a Thanksgiving photo and provided the reason. We didn't think the one simple inquiry would be used as a grievance against us. Do you count our one email and then your text response about the same Thanksgiving picture inquiry as two separate complaints? If so, that's ridiculous. My husband, after our growing concern about the door and the surprise at the lack of attention toward it, did mumble "friggin ridiculous". It was on the same day he asked to speak to someone about it. Let's be honest - there wasn't any "rough treatment" nor on multiple occasions. The frustrating mumble/conversation/unprofessional call was all on one day. On the unprofessional call when it was mentioned that a caregiver had heard his mumble, we immediately apologized about it. Had it been multiple occasions of "rough treatment", for the safety of the child care center, I would hope that you'd immediately terminate services. It was just that one time of frustration after finding the door open on multiple occasions, so it's not cool to try to exaggerate things now. I noticed you aren't denying your demeanor toward us the entire time, the fact that you purposely did not share with the caregivers about our child's last day, the fact that you purposely avoided him in all the many photos taken that last week which takes lots of effort to do, and the fact that you locked us out of the instagram account prematurely. Since you responded, it would have been nice to know your reasoning for treating us and our child that way, but it doesn't matter. "Best in class care" sounds good, but the actions taken (many of which weren't denied) spoke louder. We've moved on. read more

Five stars! I love this day care. Pick up and drop off is easy and safe. I don't have to worry about what my son is going to eat for the day because they provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. And they have fun learning activities for the kids throughout the day. Most importantly, the teachers and caregivers here truly care about the kids. My son says "yay school" every morning as we pull up in the car, and gives a resounding "yes" each day when I ask him if he had fun. Updating my review because my first one simply didn't do it justice!! It has been over a year since my daughter started at SCCC, and she loves it so much that when we moved across town we still made the drive to keep her coming here because we couldn't find a comparable daycare center in our new neighborhood. The entire staff here are all truly caring people who genuinely love the kids and they are also great with communication. Not only do the kids seem to have a ton of fun, but my daughter has also learned so much, including alphabet, numbers, colors, songs & dances, and she often comes home with cool arts and craft projects. She also loves Sima's home-cooked meals that they get for lunch (and I enjoy the convenience of not having to pack a lunch for her.) Sima & the staff at SCCC are just the best! Our daughter has been going there for almost a year and we have seen such a difference in her personal growth & social skills. I leave my daughter each day with such confidence that she is being loved and cared for, in an environment that helps her learn. I've been amazed at the development milestones she has hit in less than a year of being there. (she is only 1.5 years old). My daughter LOVES the staff and is excited and happy to go each day. As a parent, that is all you can ask for. Sima is loving and kind to her (and me!) each day and my daughter refers to her as the "mommy" of day care. :) The other teachers treat her so well and I trust them implicitly. As first time parents, finding full-time child care for our 4 month old daughter was nothing less than terrifying. Our stress levels were only getting higher as we visited more and more centers. All that changed once we came across SCCC. We fell in love with the center as soon as we walked in. It was proportionately spacious, well-organized and absolutely spotless. The attention to all the details was incredible. Then we spoke to Sima and some of the caregivers, and we were completely sold. Not only does the SCCC team genuinely love what they do, they are well educated and have very high standards for caregiving. Their urgency and commitment to a consistently secure, safe and clean environment for the children is truly impressive. If that wasn't enough, Sima happens to be a very talented artist, and she brings creativity to the center in the form of educational and sensory activities such as arts-and-crafts, music-time, colors, dancing, and sing-alongs for all age groups. As parents, we couldn't be more confident and reassured that our daughter was always happy, loved and well taken care of every day she was there. Within weeks of her attending the center, the SCCC team became family, and would forever be part of our lives. If we didn't have to move to the west side after five short months, our daughter would still be attending SCCC today. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DAYCARE!! If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. Sima and her husband are two of the most unfeeling, cruel, dismissive people I have ever encountered. They have zero interest in putting in any effort when it comes to taking in a new child into their daycare. My wife and I placed our son on the waitlist for the daycare after taking a tour. Several weeks later we heard that one of our friends, who was also on the waitlist was contacted to be accepted into their daycare. The couple asked if they could take a look at the daycare one more time before enrolling their child so they could feel comfortable with their decision. Sima's husband was rude and dismissive to them on the phone and told them they weren't allowed to visit. Needless to say, our friends weren't comfortable sending their son to this place after the way they were treated. That should have been our first warning sign. A couple of days later we were contacted off the waitlist to enroll our son. Our baby has some separation anxiety, so we called asking if we could come in just a few minutes early to be with our son and allow him to get acquainted on the first day. Sima's incredibly mean and rude husband shouted at us and told us that they don't have time to talk to us or help our son and promptly hung up. We then sent a follow up email to Sima, hoping that it was only her husband who was so cruel, incompetent and intolerant. We were wrong. She responded to our simple request to chat for a couple of minutes by kicking us out of the daycare. So yeah... I wouldn't send my son to this place in a million years and I'm relieved that they showed their true colors before we placed him an environment this awful. **Also please note that I was reading other people's very accurate reviews and have noticed that Sima and her incompetent husband write lies in an attempt to discredit any negative review on any website. Don't believe them. These are two truly bad people.** **Just wanted to add, now that I've seen the lies she's posted that not a single thing she wrote below is true. And I've heard from multiple sources that they serve these poor children moldy cheese and expired bread. Spare your kids. You can do better.** read more

Sima, Zia and all the amazing teachers at Studio City Child Care have been our saving grace through covid. My son has been here about a year and we absolutely LOVE IT. My husband and I are so grateful for SCCC. We relocated from the East Coast to LA 1.5 years ago and we had to find a daycare for our son. From the moment I stepped foot into SCCC for an initial tour, I could see the welcoming environment and I decided to enroll my son. I am sooo happy to write this review. I've been looking for daycare for my son for over six months. This daycare is a gem. The team here is super professional, caring, attentive and always in a great mood. Whenever we come they welcome me and my baby as if he has come to his grandparents. I am in love with the teachers (big shout-out to Norma, you girl are fabulous). They are always smiling and that's the place I want to leave my baby! The moment I leave my son here I know that he's in safe hands and taken care of. And every time I pick him up, I get a daily notes sheet which indicates everything that my baby did that day. We adore SCCC ! My son attended SCCC from 18 months to 2 years old and loved it. He only left because we moved across the country. Four years and another cross-country move later, I reached out to Sima, who remembered us well and was incredibly welcoming. Upon reconnecting with Sima and taking a tour of the beautiful facility, I enrolled my daughter. She started at 20 months old and ended up staying until after she turned 3! I cannot say enough about SCCC. The caregivers greet the children with smiles and affection each day. The kids are so happy there, they skip in with no hesitation. The caregivers take care to get to know each individual child, their likes and preferences and specific needs. They cultivate community, teaching the children how to coexist, take turns, work together and share. They feed the children well-rounded meals (making MY life a lot easier), encourage healthy napping practices, and -- once at SCP (the preschool) -- even support potty training when the kids are ready. My daughter went in as a pandemic baby, never having interacted with other people. She emerged as a jubilant social butterfly who loves her teachers and friends, eats everything, is considerate to others, and is totally potty trained. Moreover, at SCP (she moved over from the daycare to the preschool when it opened), she learned her numbers and letters. She's amazingly confident in both. I love the school, the people, the location(s), the hours, the community and the teachers. I recommend it to everyone I know. I will note: I've seen some reviews that question the directors' (Sima and Zia's) level of warmth. In my experience, that is not an issue whatsoever. Though they may be direct and efficient with parents at times, it's because they're overseeing the children and tending to each detail. With the kids, they are invariably effusive and warm. My son was so happy at Studio City Child Care. He cried when we dropped him off for his first 2 days and from then onwards he went to them with open arms smiling. He very obviously loved his carers, who were always smiling and warm and he was always content and never anxious. He smiled a lot and was always happy when we picked him up. They were very good with communication, we got a daily report and despite being in a pandemic I was never fearful as they were very careful and clean. He also developed very quickly with his walking and speech. We moved him to a new school when he reached 18 months so that he could be at the same school as his sister and he has not been as happy - which tells me it wasn't just our son being easy going, it was the warm safe environment he was in at SCCC. We sent our child to here when she was 4 months old when I went back to work. The owner and care givers are absolutely amazing. I had looked at so many daycares and the only one I felt was the best was Studio City Child Care. I'm a first time mom and was very nervous about sending my child to daycare. I had so many questions and they answers all of them prior to sending my daughter here. They made me feel 100% comfortable. I knew my daughter was in excellent hands. The only reason why I took her out was because COVID-19 hit and I lost my job. As soon as I start working again I'm sending her back them. We have been so pleased with our experience at Studio City Child Care. Sima and Zia, who run the center, care deeply about the children who attend and that shows. There is tremendous attention to detail, daily written reports, healthy home cooked meals, and excellent communication with parents - they even have an instagram page that only the parents are allowed to view to see all of the daily activities the children participate in! The facility is always neat and clean. There is indoor and outdoor play areas, in addition to a room dedicated to nap time! SCCC is very accommodating when it comes to things like instructions for applying creams, or special feeding needs, etc. Needless to say, we feel completely comfortable and at ease with our son attending SCCC. I am struggling on whether to write this next part or not because we genuinely love SCCC but I think it is only fair to share our full experience and it is a very very minor critique. My only small criticism I guess is that they are sticklers on the drop-off and pick-up times due to employee scheduling. They are open M-F from 8am-6pm but in general most people choose an 8 hour window, my son attends from 9am-5pm and there is basically no grace period to drop him off at 8:55am- I think it would be helpful for a lot of parents to at the very least have a 5 minute grace period or window before and after the contracted times. That said, Sima and Zia are definitely understanding if you let them know of anything ahead of time and have always been flexible when there is proper communication. All in all, my son has definitely learned so much more than I ever anticipated from attending daycare - from sharing and taking turns to reciting his ABC's and even counting to 10! They often do very cute arts and crafts projects that make their way home which makes me so happy. He has been attending for just about a year now and started when he was 11 months old. This is our first child so it was definitely not an easy decision to make, but we are SO glad we found SCCC. read more

For the last year and a half, my daughter has received full-time, weekday care from Sima, Zia and their wonderful staff at Studio City Child Care. SCCC truly has become her second home. From her first days attending as a not-yet-walking/not-yet-talking infant to her current stage as a full-throated, fast-moving toddler, my daughter has always been happy to go into the center in the morning, and happy to come back to me at the end of the day. Sima's homemade meals are varied and delicious (and inspiring!); the hugs and kisses are free-flowing; the arts and crafts my daughter makes each week at SCCC fill our kitchen bulletin board at home; and the life lessons (for both child and parent) have been invaluable. I am so grateful that my daughter has been in such a loving and supportive environment during these important early years. This review is for the Ventura location, from ages 3 months- 2 years. We were at SCCC for several months before moving, and loved it. The caretakers are all lovely, caring, and thoughtful. The toys and play spaces are nice and clean. They were so helpful for a new kid that needed a bit of extra hand holding and snuggles. We love sending our daughter here! She's been going for almost a year, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Our daughter gets excited every day at drop off and always comes home learning new things - whether it be the hokey pokey or the sign for please. All the caregivers seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and are very invested in the children, and we appreciate that they work closely with the parents and tailor schedules as the kids grow. I don't know where to begin, because our family's experience with Studio City Child Care has been so overwhelmingly positive that I cannot say enough wonderful things. Our son has been attending now for over 6 months. He looks forward to going there and and in the morning when we get ready for "school" he is constantly saying all his friends' names and calling for "Sima" and "Zia," the owners of the day care. Not only are the hours extremely helpful for families with two full time working parents, but I cannot emphasize the feeling of confidence and comfort I have leaving our son in their care. Their staff is extremely professional, the center is clean and organized and the facility operates like efficient machine. When I bring my child in the morning, there is a care member waiting to accept him and whisk him off to morning fun. They are like soldiers reporting for duty! They have a clear understanding of their duties and there is no confusion upon arrival. We have been to some other flexible child care facilities nearby and we arrive to find no one in the front, staff members in the back busy doing other things and have to wait 5-10 min for someone to surface. That is not the case at Studio City Child Care. Sima and Zia run a tight ship and you can be sure they have everyone ready in their defined roles. I like to know there is a foundation of leadership with two qualified and involved owners. Finally I will just add that we only have one child and this has proven to be an integral part to his social development. We have watched his aptitude and vocabulary grow quickly as he learns from others and comes home with new lessons to share. Watching him interact in new cooperative ways with others at the park or having him surprise us with new words and positive behaviors at home has been a real joy and a bonus we did not expect. I would encourage anyone to feel 100% secure leaving their child with Studio City Child Care. It has been a great decision and I would not take the time to write such a review if I didn't have such a debt of gratitude for all that they have done for our son. My daughter has been attending Studio City Child Care since she was 8months old (she's now almost 2) and we could not be happier. Sima and her team are so caring and wonderful for my child - she comes home well fed (home cooked meals!), happy and has definitely learned something. She's made friends and grown in amazing ways. Our daughter has been attending the infant care location on Ventura Blvd. since she was 4 months old and loves it! She is always happy to see Sima and the caretakers, and they make the drop-off and pick-up pretty seamless. They also will text me during the day if there are any concerns (like diaper rash) and there's a private Instagram for pictures. They are more than just caretakers, too. Sima and her team have been so helpful in assisting with development, like teaching our daughter to eat from a spoon and crawl. Sima has extensive experience raising children and she has some great advice and encouragement. They do dancing, and music, and storytime - it's a day packed full of fun activities! And their outdoor play area is really nice. It's completely enclosed and shaded and there's water play during the summer. While we've had a couple small issues along the way (make sure all of your baby's things are well-labeled), Sima has always promptly fixed them. Overall, I am very grateful to have found Studio City Child Care, and I know my daughter is in good and safe hands while I am at work. read more
