I love everyone here! They always do such an amazing job! Jessie - He's my hair dresser, and he does an amazing job! I've been coming to see him for about 5 or so years now, and I refuse to see anyone else! He always knows how to crack a good joke and knows how to make everyone feel welcomed when they come in for their appointment! Andrea - She's super fun! She's always got such interesting stories to tell and she's very knowledgeable about what she does! Her sister is also my Pre-Cal teacher this year (fun fact lol)! Her and Jessie are also married, so I can easily say that their family is full of amazingly sweet people who really care about others! Privana - She's such a sweet lady! She waxes my eyebrows every so often, and she always does such a great job! She always tries to be super gentle with you, and apologizes if she can see the waxing hurts (but it's waxing so it's never going to be a pleasant feeling, especially since it's on the face). She'll also go back and pluck some hairs to shape your brows more if she sees a couple stragglers. She's a very trustworthy person and I highly recommend coming to see her if you need your brows waxed! read more

Really happy with my experience here, I live in MN but was visiting and stopped in last year for a cut. I was thrilled with how my stylist managed to put layers in my heavy hair so evenly. That cut looked fresh longer than any I ever had. Stopped in again today on another visit and was lucky enough to get the same person, she is fantastic and so kind. I got a cut and color this time, I like how efficient and thorough Parvaneh is, all the time making you feel very comfy. Thanks Studio J! Family owned and operated - and that is just what they make you feel like - family. I love the reddish-golden-brown color that Jesse came up with for my hair; both women and men compliment my hair color and cut that I received from Jesse - he is a like a master colorist. His wife, Andrea, works there and does equally fabulous work also. As a matter of fact, I have not seen one bad head of hair walk out of that salon from any of the other hair professionals that work there. It is a little salon with a big personality offering mani-pedis, massages and facials at unbelievably reasonable prices for great services. I just moved to Texas, and decided to go to this salon since it was close to my house. I was clearly the last appointment for the day. I could tell by the woman, Andrea, and her apparent body language as she was ready to quickly do the job to leave for the day. Things started out nicely with a shampoo, and condition. Then when we moved on to the chair, the barber cape that was placed on me smelled like moldy cheese, and feet. It was vinyl, and clearly had not been properly dried after washing it because of the god awful smell. After the cut, she rinsed my hair again. Then she asked me what product I generally use. I have very thick hair so I use got to be glued. She then proceeded to take some hair cream of some type out of what appeared to be a personal bag with a very professional looking picture of Bob Marley on it to use in my barely towel dried hair to do in up in a faux hawk. First off wet hair isn't going to stay up with some cream. Anyone in this profession working at a salon should know that applying a product to practically dripping hair isn't going to hold. After the fact she didn't even bother to show me in the mirror what my hair looked like front or back. The whole process took 15 minutes, and when I got home to re-do the hot mess she had done I noticed the hair was slightly longer in the front on the sides where she had taken a #2 to it. Never going here again. I had to change my shirt because mine smelled like shit from the nasty barber cape. read more

I visited this salon a couple months ago and still have nightmares. I was given rave reviews about Jessie and decided to set up a last minute appointment with him. Unfortunately he was booked for the day so I was given the choice to receive a cut from Andrea. In all honestly, this was probably my mistake for not researching the salon. To begin, I told her that I wanted to get a haircut but keep my length (I had very long hair that was halfway down my back). I figured that she understood what I wanted and she began to cut. When I realized she was starting to cut my hair way too short, I showed her MULTIPLE pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. She kinda gazed over the pictures for a couple seconds and continued to cut. I wasn't facing the mirror until halfway through my haircut, and when she turned me toward the mirror, I saw my butchered hair and almost cried. She kept saying "she's just in shock she'll learn to love it" and the other male hairstylist and his customer were laughing along not even realizing how much I hated what Andrea was doing to my hair. She had to have cut off at least 10 inches. My hair was above my shoulders. What was weird is she would push my hair against my body trying to cut it in a straight line trying to make it even, and she kept cutting more and more off in this process. My left side was at least 1 inch longer than my right side. A VERY noticeable difference. When the mortifying experience was over, I looked at my uneven butchered hair and was speechless. I don't think this woman has gone to school for cutting hair nonetheless know how to trim it. I spoke with my boyfriend's sister who said she had an awful experience with Andrea as well. If you do go to this salon, as for Jessie and NOT Andrea. If your customer looks like she hates the haircut, maybe you should stop what your doing and ask whats wrong. Continuing to say "you're just in shock, you'll get used to your new hair" won't make your customer feel better. Who are you trying to convince? Yourself or the customer? read more
