I had a pedicure here late summer and I neglected to get another one for a few months The shellac polish they used stayed on perfectly with no chipping, it grew out perfectly. Haha it ended up looking like a dark French tip. Oops I decided to come back today since I had such a great experience last time. (I live in the Capilano area) I saw Jacqueline who treated me to a comfortable and clean Spa Pedicure package. She was friendly and engaging. Jacqueline was very skilled and professional. She had a gentle hand and was funny too. The spa pedicure is quite nice with the disposable lined tubs. The salt scrub was nice with the massage. The cooling gel is fabulous! My feet feel fresh and my nails look great! I decided to go for a manicure since I was having a great time. I always go with dark drab greys as I always wear black and grey clothes. Jacqueline made a suggestion to go with something I hadn't noticed - a dark grey with an iridescent sparkle. I'm not very sparkly, but she said it would match my sleeve tattoo and add a bit of fancy. She was right! I love it. I always have a great experience. Studio Nails is respectful of Alberta Health Services protocols for both health and safety as well as Covid-19. I've been getting my nails done for years and this experience was less than satisfactory. The colour I wanted I couldn't get. No cuticle clean up, no cuticle oil at the end. The underneath she never cleaned up and the polish was applied poorly. The lady providing my service was so rough with my hands they hurt after. That wouldn't even match the acrylic powder with the pale pink I already had. Not a huge deal but the lack of apex she gave me is saddening. It was also super rushed, which was weird for an empty salon. The salon itself wasn't super clean and the customer interaction sucked. I will not be going back. read more

Went there with my mom for pedicures on Wednesday and my moms feet almost got burnt as the water was much too hot. The chairs are enjoyable massage chairs and there is a large selection of nail polish to choose from. The woman doing my moms feet did an amazing job on her toes and her heels and took great care in ensuring she did a good job. The woman doing my feet seemed more rushed and as I do like how my feet turned out I would have like a few shorter nails. One thing I don't like about this location is that English is not spoken much and it feels uncomfortable when someone is doing my nails and speaking in another language. Also the woman doing my moms nails actually gave a grossed out look while doing them. I find these behaviours to be unprofessional. When our feet were done drying no one noticed, it wasn't until we attempted to remove the toe spreaders that they took notice. Tbh I go here often and they usually don't notice till I get to the cash register. The women seem more interested in their electronics and their own nails to pay attention to their customers. Also many times when I come there the TV is on but on a station that is geared towards men which is more for the benefit of the men that work there. I gave four stars because it is a quick get in get out type of nail salon and often they do an awesome job on my feet for a decent price. Plus my mom was quite satisfied with her pedicure. read more

I have tried this nail place twice the first time was alright I got a plain squared gel set and they were great except for a couple specs in the color which when I went back they fixed for me, but the second time was a horrible experience I wanted gel on my toes and I got just regular Polish, there were specs in my Polish again and my nails were two different lengths for the same finger. If i could give no stars I would. Super rushed service, not people friendly, didnt get what i had asked for. When brought up to the attention of the worker she disregarded everything i had to say. Went home unsatisfied and called the shop to see if there was an onsite manager or boss. They told me there wasnt one then hungup on me. I simply just wanted them redone, my money back (or at least a percentage of it) or some collateral for potentially next visit. I also didnt appreciate them talking inappropriately about me in their language. I dont look like one who speaks their language but i do know a few key words that were used within my time in the shop and over the phone. read more

I came here for a pedi since I was in the area. Big mistake. It looks clean, however they do not sanitize their tools and the toe separators are used as well. The lady did a bad job trimming my nails, they're all completely uneven. And the kicker? She poured lotion on my legs and feet, and literally rubbed it in. No actual massage. Funny since all pedicures include a massage. I went with gel polish and my total was $57.50. That's a whole lot, considering it was one of the worse pedis ever. I asked for acrylic nails with regular polish. The service started very fast, so that's a pro She started to convince me to get gel, and the entire time was talking in a language I do not understand To dry my acrylics before filling she put my right hand under the UV but not the left? That left me confused but I didn't say anything. She filled my acrylics for about 15-20 minutes. Now when she wanted to cut down the nail she charged me extra for the length I wanted, the nails aren't even an inch long. She was quite rude, didn't talk to me continued to talk to the lady next to her. And I honestly felt they were trash talking to me because she kept getting Ruder. No please or thank Yous. Didn't ask if I liked the nails. Didn't ask if it hurt or if I was uncomfortable. She would just take my hands without asking. As if she was being forced to do them. I asked for a matte top coat and she said she couldn't because they were regular polish?? Which doesn't make any sense? I did not like the lady or the service. The nails okay even though the thumb has a dent, she didn't even look at the nails after they were dry to ensure they're okay. In total with tax I paid 52.50 for acrylics with regular polish Not great service, rude attitude and mediocre job. I will never go to studio nails ever again I hated the branch in Kingsway as well. I've never heard of any place charging for length! Horrible horrible place. read more
