After 6 long years of not having my nails done I was ready to have them done again! I'm quite picky when it comes to nail techs and making sure I choose a place that is clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. I read a lot of reviews and asked lots of friends where they go. After finally settling on Creative Nails, I called to book an appointment. They were able to get me in the same day! I came in for my appointment and the place was packed. Lots of ladies getting their nails done. It was a nice change from pandemic times. There were even kids in the nail salon which I always love when little girls come in with their moms. Lily helped me out with my nails and she was so friendly and bubbly. I did ask her about something she said in Vietnamese to the other ladies and she told me what they were saying which is really nice and made me feel very comfortable there. The atmosphere reminded me of a men's barbershop. I asked for sculpted stiletto French gel nails with long length. They turned out beautiful and I have received many compliments on them. They were $75 for a full set and $55 for fills. Will definitely come back to try the pedicure service next time!! read more

I wrote a review on google, but it has since been removed as owner responded that ordinary nail polish will only last a couple of days and I should have been told that. so to come in and get it fixed which was fair but would be the same thing. They try and sell you on gel nail polish which is more expensive. Funny we never had gel polish years ago and the ordinary nail polish worked. I wanted to respond, that I have had manicures before with ordinary nail polish and it lasted 2 weeks, even doing them at home. I also did question the nail filing as they were going back and forth and I was also told that weakens the nail. To file in 1 direction only. Lessons learned. Won't be back. read more

I agree with King F. who said this place is just "ok". I used to go frequently for acrylic nails, pedicures and waxing. The owner (Lin I believe) always did an amazing job waxing my eyebrows, and I would always book with her specifically. After a while, when I showed up for appointments, it turned out to be the other lady doing my waxing. Finally I asked Lin why she was putting me with somebody else when I was requesting her. She said that it is not fair to her employee that she gets all the clients so she has started sharing more with her. Okay... I get that. But I requested her personally because she did the best work and I was always happy when I left. The same was not true of my experience with her employee. I have to say... when it comes to pedicures/acrylic nails... these ladies are talented. There is not much they can't do. The reason for the low rating is because their customer service SUCKS. Pedicures are supposed to be relaxing.. but that is not the case. The employees talk to each other the entire time, and don't acknowledge their clients. When another client walks in the door, they yell at them across them room. Like... not just to say "hello"... they have their entire consultation from across the room! "Do you have an appointment? No? What do you need to have done? Okay... I can do that... just sit down". I stopped getting my nails done here because they would never explain options or ask questions. They would just do what they wanted, and you find out about it when you get to the till. I haven't been back there in quite a while, because I've found other options. However, if I need a quick and cheap pedicure, I would probably stop in. Oh! and on more than one occasion they've told me that their debit/credit machines are down and asked for cash... and when I said I didn't have cash, they processed my debit payment. I had never had a pedicure before, but with a destination wedding, I thought that a gel French pedicure would probably be best. I asked around and this salon came highly recommended, so I made an appointment. The owner, Lien, took a look at my toes and then asked me what I wanted. She decided to do a liquid gel pedicure ($65). She was really friendly, cleaned my feet/toes in the foot bath, popped on a face mask, and took her time to do a good job (I was there for an hour). She even filed the tips down shorter and shorter per my request (I really don't like long toenails). I really liked the end result and it did last through my wedding (which was a full week later), and it probably would have lasted longer but the day after my wedding, I somehow ripped off one of the nails on my left pinky toe. That was really painful but it was definitely due to the way my nails grow and not because of a shoddy job or anything. It definitely isn't the fanciest salon but Lien did a great job and I would come here again. FYI, debit or cash is preferred. read more

I've had a lot of pedicures & suffice to say I got so frustrated that I took to doing my own. Today however, I just wasn't feeling like doing the work so I went to creative nails on calg tr. And wow!!! It was quiet, people were so polite & professional, and let me tell you --the leg/foot massage nearly knocked me out! I was in heaven! When the ladies here spoke in their language, they even acknowledged me & explained what they were discussing, color me shocked & impressed! By the time the actual polish was applied I was already at 4 stars, yet the application was pretty flawless. Will I come back? YES!! would I recommend this place -ABSOLUTELY!!! I took my daughter here today. They were all very polite and friendly and extremely excited to have her. She got a mani pedi. It costed 30$ which is a really good price. They were very gentle and caring with her. HOWEVER they sent me out with her nails looking like this. She said she wanted red on her toes and her fingers but she ended up getting yellow. I was like crap. But okay. Misunderstanding I picked the yellow out for myself then went with shellac so there was a little mix up. Fine okay it happens. Her pedi turned out not to bad. Colour is good polish fairly good. But her mani is another story. (I will say she don't understand she had to wait for it to dry and kept putting her hands together and not keeping her fingers apart.) she also didn't want a design but they gave her one anyways which was nice but it was just extra work and she kept messing it up. My pedi was great she did and amazing job and it felt great as everyone else has said. I should have got my nails done they had a special on for 45 for a mani pedi I do believe. Anyways over all the service was good. Kept making sure I didn't want anything to drink. Which was nice and they were very welcoming. I do want to point out how amazing Lily was though! Creative nails is okay. Nothing special. There are only 2 ladies who work here. The owner (long hair) and the other lady (short hair) is rude and always seems to be in a hurry. Oh and hungry, she eats any chance she can get while she is with a client. When I first starting going I was really happy but after a couple of months I realized they just don't care about the job they are doing. Bumps and crooked nails, it just looked sloppy. She is professional and knows how to shape all kinds of different nail styles. She makes sure that they look very sleek and clean. I always get people asking if they are my real nails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! UNLESS YOU LIKE THE SMELL OF SEWAGE WHILE YOU SIT AND GET A PEDICURE AND WANT AN INFECTION FROM THE PEDICURE WATER! The only reason I went to this nail salon is because I read prior positive reviews written on yelp supporting this salon. I have had good luck in the past choosing an establishment based on positive reviews. This was not the case this time. This salon SHOULD NOT EVEN BE IN BUSINESS. IT WAS THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME I have ever spent at a nail salon and I have been to quite a few inexpensive, quick in-and-out mani-pedi salons in Edmonton and area. It was clear the ladies working, including the owner Lien, cut corners big time and were unprofessional. There are very little nail color choices unless of course you want the acrylic colors at $15 more. A BIG SCAM. I went with my teenage daughter for a mani-pedi combo for $45 and added the wax wrap in the pedi for an additional $10. We were initially pleasantly surprised it was not a complete hole in the wall but then things went down hill fast. As recommended by prior Yelp reviews I booked Lien for my daughter and I was to have, who was truly a nightmare, Pearl. NEVER EVER ACCEPT PEARL TO DO YOUR NAILS. Well Lien shoved my daughter off with her cousin who looked maybe 15 yrs. old until I told Lien that I booked her specifically. Lien only did my daughters nails and then left her feet to her cousin and went to the back room. Although the young girl was sweet and gentle, my daughters nail polish was a mess. It was all on the sides of her toes. It was the worst job ever. I had Pearl who was very very rude, never smiled and at a point I had to have Lien come and finish my pedicure because Pearl WAS SO RUDE. I asked Pearl in conversation how long she had been doing this and she responded 10 years when I said wow, great, do you like it, she very sternly said, NO. I thought yeah, I do not need someone who does not like their job doing my nails. I told Pearl I could tell she didn't like her job. I told Lien (the owner) and Lien did nothing except say she was having a bad day. Lien did a nice job polishing my nails but Pearl did such a bad job and my feet that they were just as rough on the heals as when I arrived. The water that I soaked my feet in was lukewarm at best. The WORST PART was an ever present smell of sewage that I would whiff in while having my nails done and waking up to a RASH ALL OVER MY LOWER LEG the next morning. JUST AWFUL!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER SMALL SALONS THAT ARE 1000 TIMES BETTER. read more

I've been there twice for a French Manicure and I have never been so HAPPY with the results as I have here! Pearl does an amazing job and is very quick. Plus, because of her technique of drying in between coats, the manicure lasted almost two weeks without chipping (and it wasn't gel polish)! My only complaint is that I had to tell them 6 times that I don't want gel nails and she actually still started the procedure for gel nails before I stopped her. read more

Worst. Nail. Salon. EVER! I think the other comments on here are either friends, or received a discount to say something positive. The interior of a restaurant kitchen is nicer than this salon. I watched the lady after our pedicures were done clean the tub soak with a Scotch Brite Dish Sponge, with no soap in the canister ..... Aside from that, the "owner" overcharged us $30 + and was on her cell phone, bantering the entire time - so unprofessional. The workers provided us with THE WORST manicure I have ever seen. When it was finished I had nail polish all over my skin and when I asked for it to be cleaned up she rolled her eyes, got a nail file and attempted to scrape my skin ... I went home and cleaned it up myself. This place is such a piece of shit I want to write the Better Business Bureau or Health Canada because I am 99% sure they are not to code. I cannot believe I wasted my time and money at this shit box. My shelack polish has already partially chipped off (4 days) and I refuse to go back to get it fixed because I am sure I'll either be charged or it will somehow be a worse job than it was before.
