Nicole is amazing! My wife and I are spending our first winter in Siesta Key this year from NE. We have visited Siesta many times but usually just for a week or two at a time. I am visiting from out of town and have been traveling for two months. Needed a haircut and color very badly. Decided to take a chance on Studio one Eleven sure am glad I did. When I called for my appointment Nicole asked if I could get the formula for my hair color from my hairdresser at home. I was very impressed that she would take the time to research my color. When I got there today she had had some trouble trying to match the exact color but she worked with me to make sure I would be happy and not to make it hard on my hairdresser at home. Update after the owners response .... I wasn't expecting you to negotiate! NEVER ASKED YOU TO. Your prices are fine I just don't want to spend that on my teenage daughter ($245 plus tip would've been $300). Looking at other screenshots of people's conversations with you on here, You clearly have a problem with not knowing what rude is. And You don't need to condescendingly wish me the best on my "hair journey". It's just hair. Relax After going back and forth via text to get a quote for balayage on my daughter's hair I was quoted almost $300. That's fine as I realize sometimes it can cost that much when the hair is already colored. But when I replied with "ok, I can't justify spending that on my teenage daughter but thank you, your work does look amazing", Nicole responded with "well that's what I charge!" OK...This review is LONG overdue, so get ready! I have been going to Nicole for the last few years and have done a myriad of different things to my hair. Let's start with Nicole's work. I have only two words for it: the best. I have gone to countless numbers of hair stylists and to dozens of hair salons ranging all prices, and Nicole is by far the best I've ever come across. As ladies, we all have the typical fears when going to a new stylist. The first is the dreaded haircut and getting the opposite of what you want. Nicole has never cut my hair too short, crooked, or anything of the sort. She will give you exactly what you ask for and she will give you a professional opinion on that. The next fear is leaving with a bad color. You will NEVER get this with Nicole, she is literally the goddess of color. Nicole has taken me blonde, red, and back to blonde (in one session, no less). I've had full colors, highlights, and balayage done by Nicole, and all have been fantastic. I literally cannot say enough about her quality of work, and the time she will put into your hair. She always works around my schedule, does not mind when I ask to reschedule, and she never rushes an appointment. She is so professional and her work is incomparable, in my honest opinion. Her prices are completely fair (she'll quickly text you a photo of her prices if you ask her) for the work she does, as well. Now let's talk about Nicole herself. Nicole is AMAZING! She is like a tiny little human version of the energizer bunny; every time I come in (especially if I happen to get her some Starbucks on the way), she is so excited and bubbly. Nicole speaks to everyone like they are her best friend, and this has held true from the first time that I came in a few years ago through to today. She tells you about what's going on with her, asks what's new with you (she'll remember whatever you told her three months ago and ask about it), and she's absolutely hilarious. Going to see Nicole is not just about going to get some beautiful hair (trust me, you will) - it's also about a good time. Full disclosure , I did not leave the salon with my hair the color I wanted it BUT this is because my expectations of a one time fix for what I wanted was unrealistic. I came in with an inspiration picture, box dyed my hair and very long split ends and left with a beautiful cut, healthier hair and some very nice balayage which is moving me closer to my final goal. Nicole was extremely honest and direct with her recommendations and final review of her work and has asked me to come back to continue working towards my dream hair. I saw Nicole again yesterday and in fact have seen her many times for my hair since my last review - she's the only person I'll trust with my hair! She is thorough, knows exactly what will look good on her clients, advises you in an honest way, is exceptionally skilled with color and my hair never feels damaged after... and on top of all that, she is sweet as can be! As you can see, my last review was written in 2016. Prior to that first appointment with her, my hair was completely my natural color (a strawberry blondeish brownish) as I hadn't dyed it for several years - I had stayed away from hair dyeing for a while for fear of my hair turning orange and for my fear of committing to a regularly scheduled salon appointment for root touch-ups or something. Once I went to Nicole though and learned about the balayage technique, I really fell in love with it because it's low maintenance and stays natural/good looking for a long period of time. My hair is A LOT lighter now as you'll be able to see in the attached photo and I just love it! In fact, in writing this review and seeing the picture in my previous review, it's really impressive to me just how light she has been able to get my hair - but just remember, to achieve what I have now did take sessions so that the hair comes out looking good and healthy each time! Anyway, all of this is thanks to Nicole - she has been able to give me true blonde hair without having to ever experience the "orangeyness" that has happened to me before. I absolutely love Nicole! I found her on Yelp and requested an appointment SO last minute on a Sunday night not expecting her to be able to accommodate me and she did! Not only that but she had already left for the day and came back to do my cut and color. I have curly hair which I figured might also add a level of difficulty but she made it so easy and she trimmed and colored it perfectly. I was adamant about wanting to keep the length but get rid of any dry or damaged ends and she managed to trim a good amount off while still keeping the length, so now my curls looks super happy and healthy!
