My internist recommended the Bone Strong Pilates program, because she knew patients whose bone density had increased significantly because of participation in the Bone Strong program. It's too early to know if my bone density has improved. My next Dexa scan will be in June 2022. But I can attest to the other benefits of Holly's Pilates! I had never practiced Pilates before. But I am now a Pilates convert. I practice three times a week with three different instructors: 2 private sessions and 1 class. With each instructor I learn something different that enhances my Pilates practice. I am definitely stronger, fitter, and more flexible. Also I am sleeping better and overall have more energy and joy. Whatever my Dexa scan results show next summer, I will continue my Pilates regimen because it has greatly enhanced my life. Any improvement in my bone density, which I do expect, will be icing on the cake. I recommend Holly's Pilates Village enthusiastically and without reservation, whether or not you have osteoporosis.

With a combo of elements such as cardio, yoga, conditioning, and weights, I always leave feeling sore but in a good way. I started this year in January 2023 and try to go at least once a week. With my busy schedule, there are plenty of times to choose from. And while every class is essentially "different" depending on the instructor, I feel and look great once I enter the class and leave. Try their free class when you sign up and then you'll see why you should keep up with it!!

Now, I'm not someone who sticks with a particular workout regimen, gyms are not my style. However, Barre3 is different. It is a combination of yoga, Pilates and barre founded by Sadie Lincoln. (Also a great listen on "How I Built This" on the origins of the company.) I've been coming here for 7 years. I've done community classes, I've bought class packages, I've done live steam and been in the studio. What I'm most thankful for is that this is a welcome, opening community. You are welcomed every time you come to the studio. Anyone is welcome to join. I've had friends join me who felt the body positivity during the class and felt welcomed. They frequently do community classes in locations like Paristown or at Work the Metal. I've enjoyed these classes too as an opportunity to share Barre3 with friends. In the spring/fall, they typically do class pack sales where I purchases classes so I can come and go as I can. I haven't done the monthly membership only because it is hard for me to go on workdays. The instructors (Abby, Mel, Kelly, Emily, Becca) have all been amazing. They have different styles and I workout something new every time. This community makes me happy and makes me feel like I belong. It has taken me so long to find a fitness community that does that for me. I'm so glad Barre3 has been here for 7 years, and cheers and gratitude to more.

Greedy business!!!!…read more My daughter, a second year student (with a student budget) was looking into buying one of their promos, 2 weeks unlimited for $228.96 She had been a client, like myself, a year prior during the summer break and we had both brought new customers as well. 1- In June, back from college, as she was looking at the promotion on the site , (she was a registered customer and they had all her info with her credit card) , she clicked to look at the details & was automatically charged for the promotion without any checking out process. Very deceptive method! She told herself she will have to do use them. 2- A few days later, while she was playing tennis, she broke her wrist, requiring a surgery and a hard cast , followed by 6-8 weeks of PT. So not a small accident . 3- After she felt well enough after her surgery, she reached out to the studio by texting Jamie, the manager, explaining that she wouldn't be able to use the classes and was asking to be reimbursed . My daughter had to text her a few times to get a reply : no refund!! 4- I wrote a text to Jaime asking to reconsider her decision, explaining the facts and I never got a reply. I would think twice about bringing business to a company that doesn't value its customers, especially students who are on a.tight budget. Shame on you Studio Pilates!!

I came out of my first session with a whole new respect for those who practice Pilates on a regular basis. I was a little sore, but not in a bad way. Different muscles. After 48 hours I wondered what I had voluntarily decided to do. After 3 months, I am hooked. I feel the difference in general, but no longer have the aches and soreness after walking 18 or getting out of bed. I am usually the only guy in the class, and have never felt uncomfortable. I have experienced several instructors and each were good in their own way. Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as they guided me through the first few weeks. I schedule my sessions with Sydney (Monday) and Brynna (Thursday) Whether intentional or not, they complement each other's workouts. 3 months in, and I can tell a dramatic difference in my overall fitness.
