I learn something new about my practice and about yoga every time I go. Her classes have a personal touch and a genuine care for health and well-being. The classes are thoughtfully composed but also playful and fun. I leave feeling great after every class. The beginners class is actually my favorite. I think this class is great even if you've been practicing yoga for a while. These classes are slower paced and really focus on feeling for the alignment in the posture. It brings you back to the basics but you are still able to take the posture to whatever level you are comfortable with. The all levels classes are also great. They are faster paced than the beginners and incorporate a larger variety of poses. I highly recommend this studio based on enjoyment and results from how my body feels since I've been going. I always look forward to my next class.

So Infinite Bliss doesn't have a ton of younger students in our 20s and 30s, nor a ton of men. But…read moreit absolutely should! I found Infinite Bliss (IB) in my early 20s (in it's previous location) and I am now in my early 30s and I can't say how much I love this studio and how much it's influenced me! The teacher's here are extremely knowledgeable and so so kind. It's a really different style of yoga than the Ashtanga style and it's modern offshoots (vinyasa, power yoga). Basically infinite bliss yoga is really strengthening and warming but it also super focused on alignment which keeps your super safe and helps prevent injury. If you're like me you like to push yourself and engage to the best of your ability. I've had yoga teachers encourage me to blow past my bodies natural limits, and that left me with injuries that set back my yoga practice and daily life. Not so at infinite bliss, the teachers here are really well educated and have an eye for alignment. But they will instruct you to do certain poses in a different way than most teachers and studios. They keep alignment in focus at all times but also take you into more advanced poses both warming strength-building poses and also lots of inversion and arm balances. So fun, a great community to learn in. I really can't say how much I love this studio! Now I've gone on to become a yoga teacher, and while I don't teach here (I live out of town now), I am soooo glad this studio was part of my yogic education. I still come back to learn and practice when I am in town! The classes cost a little more than some studios, but this helps support a living wage for the teachers and it is worth every penny, truly! They also have a rich foundation in yogic philosophy, particularly in tantric yoga philosophy which teaches you to the see the good in yourself and everyone. The owner, Denise, is a seriously superb yogini and teacher! I seruously can't say enough how wonderful this studio is. It's also a rare gem because it's an Anusara yoga studio. Back in the 90s and early 00s Anusara swept across the western world with many 100s of studios, but there was a scandal at the tip top of the school and now there are hardly any schools left. Less than a dozen in the entire US, and we have one right here in Louisville, KY I love infinite bliss, and more younger yogis should come!

Better to fail and know than to never do and not know. The heat takes a while to get used to. I am by no means a yoga expert and would still classify myself as a beginner with experience with at home programs. This is intense. This is hot and humid and hurts, at first. About 50 mins in and a few breaks out of the room I was feeling really good about it. I didn't last the entire 75 min first class but that's ok. I will keep at it. By the 3rd class I stayed in the room the whole time and did as much as I was able. They do encourage you to stop when needed and ask for help with a pose if needed and take a break from the room when needed. 3 different teachers and it's all the same style of encouragement. They also recommended when to chill out or not push yourself past your limits. Kelly and Holly are also excellent teachers. The most helpful piece of information about healthily doing this type of yoga: drink water all day and make sure you ate 2 hours prior and it was light meal. Eat after the class. They have showers for after the class and plenty of toiletreies if you don't bring your own. After the first class I realized I needed to be able to change clothes and take a shower because I was too cold leaving on a decent spring day. But that's me. Their showers are immaculate and large they have a large changing room and plenty of storage for your belongings. Update : after the first 2 weeks I bought the 10 class package. I had to have minor surgery the next day and explained that to them so I wanted yo make sure they don't expire quickly. They dont. I came back a week after the surgery and had to start back at square 0. Getting used to the heat is part of the process but once I do it's worth it.

They also compliment when you when you get the position right! The studio has plenty of options of both beginner and advanced classes! The classes are a great way to destress, drink more water and relax. I always feel better afterward!

There are many reasons I love coming to Suspend, but for my review I will focus on the top 3 reasons you should check it out. THE FACILITY The location in NULU is super convenient if you work downtown like I do. I love to drop in after work for a class or two before I head home. Suspend has several rigging points that are checked regularly for safety. They offer lyra, trapeze, silks, rope, pole, acro, juggling, hula hoop and a variety of other classes. There are occasionally even workshops to learn unique skills such as unicycling. The facility is clean and inviting. I especially love all the beautiful artwork featuring aerialists decorating the gym. KNOWLEDGABLE STAFF The instructors never seize to impress me with not only their knowledge of the aerial arts but with their ability to explain things in an easily digestible way. No matter your level (I am a beginner) they can get you on the apparatus safely challenging yourself to do new things. Every instructor is focused on proper form and doing things correctly to avoid injury. There are even classes like Flexibility & Mobility and Aerial Conditioning that I find quite helpful. COMMUNITY This is one of the most welcoming places I have ever been. They say that aerials are for anyone. Everyone is welcome no matter your shape, size you will be met where you are and challenged to push yourself. Everyone (students & instructors) cheer each other on. This gym is definitely a body positive space for anyone to work on their art. If you are curious about circus and aerials, I encourage you to check out Suspend. It is not easy, but the sense of accomplishment is incomparable.

Yes, there are fabrics, hoops, ropes and poles. Everything you'd see at a Cirque show. And you learn how to do really cool stuff on all these things. While working up a sweat. The instructors are really great, you start with the basics, I felt very safe and you build from there. They are highly encouraging, along with the other students. They also have conditioning classes, yoga, flexibility, juggling - so many things to keep you moving and having fun. I would highly recommend to anyone, regardless of age and fitness level.

Now, I'm not someone who sticks with a particular workout regimen, gyms are not my style. However, Barre3 is different. It is a combination of yoga, Pilates and barre founded by Sadie Lincoln. (Also a great listen on "How I Built This" on the origins of the company.) I've been coming here for 7 years. I've done community classes, I've bought class packages, I've done live steam and been in the studio. What I'm most thankful for is that this is a welcome, opening community. You are welcomed every time you come to the studio. Anyone is welcome to join. I've had friends join me who felt the body positivity during the class and felt welcomed. They frequently do community classes in locations like Paristown or at Work the Metal. I've enjoyed these classes too as an opportunity to share Barre3 with friends. In the spring/fall, they typically do class pack sales where I purchases classes so I can come and go as I can. I haven't done the monthly membership only because it is hard for me to go on workdays. The instructors (Abby, Mel, Kelly, Emily, Becca) have all been amazing. They have different styles and I workout something new every time. This community makes me happy and makes me feel like I belong. It has taken me so long to find a fitness community that does that for me. I'm so glad Barre3 has been here for 7 years, and cheers and gratitude to more.

When classes end, you're invited to take up space for meditation as needed, while others may quietly choose to exit. I was surprised that there are mirrors on 2 walls. Not my typical preference, but does help with some visual alignment checks. The lavender towels at the end of class are quite frozen. I usually stick mine in my bra to thaw it out and cool off. There are a variety of instructor styles - bios are helpful for finding a class/instructor that matches your preferences. There is less play and wall assist encouraged than my personal preference, while still acknowledging that falling out is a big part of the practice.

We went today, Monday 06/29. Lines were only about a 5-7 min wait time, if that. We mostly enjoyed the lazy river next to the big slides, they have a small current that pushes you through, along with fountains of water that spray you. Locker rentals were $17 for a small locker all day. Alcohol is expensive there too. Two draft beers and an Aquafina water was $27, so be warned. Cabanas are also available to rent, via online only to get the season pass discount. They have two locations, big surf which is along the side of hurricane bay, and the beach club cabanas, which are located near the lazy river. If you purchase the vip cabanas, it comes with 8 bottles of water, food service, I believe 4 souvenir beach towels, and a tote bag to keep with you. One thing I noticed that's changed since when I came here as a kid, the bathrooms are air conditioned now, they were also relatively pretty clean for being a theme park as well. I believe all together there are around 7 roller coasters, lots of water attractions, and of course the pay to play games. Will be back within the next few days

BUT, I enjoy watching my family enjoy them! There is a huge area for the little ones. Lots of rides like cars, monster trucks , blimps, etc and all of these are low on the thrill but high on the fun. My wife loves the roller coasters and they apparently have some good ones. The 5D movie theater is fun too. It's indoors, has moving chairs and effects like wind and vibrations. It was well received by all our kids. In the summer The water park is super awesome and huge. There are a hand full of places to eat and for the most part they are all the same quality - amusement park food and prices. Great place to spend time with your family or friends.

They are also sexist many of the female lifeguards I know that work their never get promoted to black or blue suits while the male employees easily do. I opened to bathroom door it wasn't locked and was immediately yelled . It was a female employee who was gathering her belongings off the floor, apparently she just finished dressing. Fishnets and all.... I apologized closed the door. Waited for her to exit, meanwhile 20 second later another female employee was standing at the back door , I walked towards her 2 steps and said on there's a downstairs also? She replied, no there's nothing downstairs for you. I turned around and walked right back to the bar where my husband was and the 1st female employee from the restroom was telling 5 other employees stand around the counter how rude I was and just walked in on her getting dressed. I never sat down , my husband said is she talking about you? I SAID APPARENTLY, He stood up and we walked out. Come to find out they had a upstairs rude staff

OK, it was October 2007 and I was in the car driving home from work. I had been debating on whether to join a gym so that I can get back into shape since I had not been good to myself for the past seven years as I was busy with university studies. I knew that I needed to become more active and the thought of joining a gym really gave me more apprehension than anything. I didn't want to run on a treadmill and all that other stuff. Not to mention standing in line waiting for a machine. Anyway, as I said, I was driving down Baxter and noticed that the Bizzare Cafe' was closed for good (it really was bizzare. They had a statue of Freddy Kruger in the window facing the street), but I saw a sign about yoga coming soon. I dialed the number in the car and spoke to Kristi. Everything she said sounded positive and inspirational. I decided right then and right there that the debate over joining a gym had been defeated and was over. I started yoga a few days after Yoga on Baxter opened and I've been going at least three times a week. When I took vacation in late November early December I went to yoga every day! My family and friends and even Kristi have noticed that I have lost a few inches (although I'm not sure how many because I was scared to look at the initial measurement to begin with, hee hee). I'm getting muscles again in places I had forgotten about and I'm not having pain in my left hip anymore. Another thing I like about Yoga on Baxter is it is not pretentious like the other yoga studios you hear people talking about. Kristi is down-to-earth, very approachable and very likeable. She's a damn good Yogi who truly knows her stuff! I must agree with Brian M when he wrote in his review that Kristi will work you till you scream for your mama, but it's a great workout and the results are very rewarding. Kristi is very one-on-one with all her students and will make modifications for all the poses if needed. I would recommend Yoga on Baxter to anyone new to yoga (as was I) and anyone who may be tired of "corporate yoga" in those big athletic clubs. I'm going to agree with a lot of what Michael has said about Yoga on Baxter and Kristi. I have taken yoga before at several places around town and have always felt a little like an outsider. It seemed like there was an exclusive club that I wasn't worthy enough to join because I couldn't immediately put my legs behind my head and hold every balancing pose. I had been thinking about either finding some dance classes (my first love) again or trying yoga. When I saw an add for the studio, I thought that I would give it a chance. I'm a person who gets bored with exercise - I am not a fan of treadmills and machines and need to have fun while working out. Kristi has created a place that both seasoned yogis and beginners can come together and feel good about the experience. She makes everyone feel comfortable with their level of ability while challenging us to reach our potential. I have become a little "yoga addict" and go (pretty much) every day. It doesn't feel like exercise, it feels like I'm going to hang out with friends with health benefits. The classes are laid back, everyone is free to be themselves (which is a way for me to say that sometimes there are some jokes told and some laughs!). The classes are a mixture of all ages and levels with everyone having a positive attitude about yoga (even when we have to hold the balancing series a little longer than we think we should!! :). I was at a time in my life where I really needed to take care of myself and I heard about Yoga on Baxter from a good friend. It is so rare to walk in some place and feel right at home and so welcomed. Kristi the owner made me feel like that instantly. Then to find out it was so affordable particularily with the fact that Kristi is so knowledgeable and her instruction is like no other yoga teacher I have had. I feel better than I have ever felt in my life- my whole mind and body is in such better shape and I was so full of anxiety before I began this wonderful journey with Kristi's classes. She is poetry in motion and she really cares about helping you learn each pose the right way. And the other blessing is that everyone there is like my extended family. We really enjoy seeing each other and have such a great time. Fun and healthly! I can't wait to get there and it is by far my highlight of the day. I go every day and sometimes workout more than one class. I've been going to YOB since it was in the smaller original location and it's been great to see it grow and flourish with an amazing yoga community. The class schedule is consistent, the instructors are excellent, and the new space is large, bright, and sunny and full of lush greenery that makes for a great practice environment. If you're new to yoga, you have to try the Beginning Hot Yoga... it doesn't have that overbearing humidity and heat that a regular hot yoga class has. The Vinyasa and Rocket classes are also great if you're looking to build a bit more strength and are looking for more variety in classes. You HAVE to try the $5 community class (bring cash!) - a great opportunity to try different class styles and meet different teachers for an amazing value and a good cause! On my way home from the Chiropractor's office again, I passed by a new yoga studio. My repeated back problem was not getting any better, the chiropractor had mentioned yoga, and my insurance was almost maxed out. Light bulb moment. I had to do something and the thought of a gym was not appealing. What did I have to lose. I called and went to a class. The introductory offer was extremely reasonable and affordable. Okay I'm hooked. If you are thinking about getting into shape -- any shape -- this is the place. The instructor, Kristi, is excellent. No matter what you skill level or age, Kristi will work with you to make it work for you. It has been almost 3 months, and I find myself completely engaged from the beginning to the end of class. I love yoga on Baxter. I practice there 6 times a week and feel this is the best studio in da'ville. I always purchase the unlimited pass as I feel it is the best deal around. All of the instructors are great, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. When I first started, I had never done yoga before, and was welcomed right in by Kristi, the owner. Through this amazing community, I have definitely seen a change in my body and form throughout my practice and am doing poses that I would have not thought possible. For those more advanced yogis and yoginis, make sure to check out the rocket series, which is only offered at this studio... the lengthier series of asanas and arm balances will get your blood flowing and move you closer to clarity. I just started yoga recently due to age and injuries in an attempt to get some flexibility and balance, I went to another very popular studio and liked it but came to YOB due to a recommendation from a client and was happy I did! The experience was night and day from the previous place as I had nothing to compare to, I have an athletic background so hot yoga appealed to me and I enjoyed the previous studio but learned quickly with Kristi that the previous was lacking almost completely in their helping new and existing students. Kristi took the time to walk the class throughout and help people adjust properly and made the class that much more beneficial, after trying the hot yoga I did the restorative due to an injury and liked it every bit as much! read more

The reason I started yoga was for stress reduction and to protect my back. I have a 70 lb special needs child and I had to keep healthy. What was a suprise were the other benefits besides these. Not only has yoga helped sculpt my body so that clothes fit better, but I have grown 1 1/4 inch over the last 2 years. I had my first experience at Yoga On Baxter last week. Laurie, the teacher, gracefully led the class with a constant easy pace. The class had many different levels of students, ranging from beginners to more advanced. Laurie emphasized on the basics, but also gave instructions for the more advanced poses. Just because it's a slow class, doesn't mean you won't work. Her good friend, Bree, partnered with her to offer advice and a beautiful meditation. Today's practice took place outside in the parking lot of the office center. The sun was out, a fantastic breeze and cooler temps. The hour was so quick! And, lying there listening to Bree's meditation was peaceful and full of mindfulness. I'm inspired, her one person. The studio reopened this past week. Approximately 5 people can attend the class in person but live Zoom sessions are also offered to the community. It's free to request joining them and you can offer a donation to support the teachers. I'll be following Exhale Yoga on social media and send positive energy for a safe return to the studio with more students over time.

Was YogaSix Norton comments no I previously did not go to this location because I was worried about traffic. It is pretty chaotic trying to get past the Paddocks shops and Costco to get to a yoga studio and I was worried that it would mess with my Zen. And I had to a lot for this. You have to be mindful with the traffic in order to be there in time which I've been able to make happen. The studio feels smaller than the previous location, but the community is still present. I really appreciated being able to connect with people that I knew from the other studio and meet new individuals as well. These space always has something going on in terms of little markets and opportunities to connect with the community. And of course, the yoga is excellent. My favorite class is the signature hot and the poses have been really good and have helped me improve my flexibility. And all the instructors teach slightly differently so I've learned new things every single time. I'm so appreciative for this community and for the studio.

I took the Restore class with Rhonda and it was easy to adapt moves as needed. Carrie walked me through how to check in, get equipment, and get set up for the class. Carrie and Rhonda helped me figure out which yoga mat was right for me for the next classes. Really excited to try more classes!

When I first tried yoga a couple years ago at another place, I quit after two classes. I didn't know what I was doing and felt like a fish out of water. The teachers at Yoga East help you, no matter what level you are. They explain why they move you in certain positions and gently guide you through the practice. Now two months in, I am feeling more confident and comfortable. If ai can't do something, I can't do it. And that's okay. I may get there, I may not. The most important thing is I'm trying and doing something good for my body, my heart and my spirit. I've touched my feet more in the last two months than the last two years! I know that sounds funny, but think about it. Do you really pay attention to your feet, hands, hamstrings, sit bones.... My posture is getting stronger and I am more limber. No pretzel woman by far, but other day, I reach back during a kneeling back bend and touched my heels. That's progress! And I'm learning that progress, not perfection is good.
