Atelier Newday is a cute lil studio in Oakland Park where you can do pottery painting…read more After searching for something different to do for my birthday, I found Atelier Newday and decided to do pottery painting with a group. We rented out the studio for two hours on a Saturday and it was really easy to coordinate and chat with the studio owner through Instagram. We were able to set up and break down 30 minutes before and after our two hour slot. The owner wasn't there for the party but she had a friend running her studio who was super helpful from beginning to end! We were able to bring in our own food and set up around the studio how we wanted to. I decided to do a bakery & floral theme and it really came to life in their quaint and colorful studio. They had so many pottery pieces to choose from! This easily took up a good amount of time so make sure to factor that in when visiting or booking for a party. Once we all picked our pieces, they had aprons and palettes set up and helped explain the colors we could choose from. From there, we started painting. I absolutely loved doing this craft at the studio and my whole party had such a great time. The price of renting the studio included the glazing and firing and each person just had to pay for their own pottery piece of their choice. I was able to pick up all the pieces within 2 weeks and we absolutely love them! A great spot to do pottery painting in the Broward area!

She was super kind and accommodating to our group wanting to do different items such as pour paint canvases, brush canvases, and coasters. I made coasters and loved how they turned out. I definitely recommend Art in Oakland Park for a fun night with friends and stress relief! It's great to pick out the paint colors and see how the design turns out after the paint mixes and using the blow torch.

The vibe this studio has is awesome, you feel welcome and at home from the second you walk in! The teacher (forgot his name! oops) was VERY nice, helpful, and patient. I ended up painting a mix what we had to base our painting off of and my own touch of Laura. Overall I had a fantastic time and I am looking forward to coming here again!

I wasn't a huge fan of the painting that we were doing (I saw some cool ones that I liked more hanging up on the wall), but the entire process was so much fun that I've hung my painting up anyway! Jay, our instructor, was very nice and patient. Loved the BYOB part. My friends and I brought some snacks and plenty of wine. I will definitely be back to see what else I can paint! I've never been good at drawing or painting, but I didn't have to be! The one annoying thing that I will say is that it was nearly impossible to book our reservation. I called the studio no less than 4 times, left 2 voice messages, and never got a call back. I ended up just driving there and making the reservation in person when I was out running errands. The space is beautiful, bright, and really cute, with so many different candles and fragrances displayed throughout. The experience was fun and interactive from start to finish. We got to smell all of the different fragrances, choose our favorites, and blend them together to create our own custom scents. There were so many options that narrowing them down was probably the hardest part! I ended up creating a vacation-inspired scent with sandalwood, Coconut Margarita, and Vacay Me Please, and I loved how it turned out. You also get a free drink with the experience. I chose the lychee drink and it was really good! It was a nice little addition while we were making our candles. The staff was friendly and walked us through the entire process while still giving us room to experiment and create something that was actually ours. One of my favorite parts is that they save your candle blend to your profile, so if you love what you created, you can reorder the exact same scent in the future. This was such a cute anniversary date and something different from just going out to dinner. We had a great time, got to create something together, and now we have our own custom candles to remember the experience. Definitely 5 stars and I would absolutely come back!

They made the environment fun and relaxed. By the end, we were all besties! The studio is beautiful, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Great for group events. We made three different drinks. Some of the mixers were pre-poured, and others we poured ourselves. The instructors walked us through the entire process, even how to properly shake a shaker. I didn't think we'd need an in-depth tutorial on that, but we definitely did because spills happen. Lol. The drinks were very tasty. I do wish there had been a bit more instruction on adjusting sweetness levels. They offer different classes at the studio, including candle-making, body butter, perfume, and mixology classes. Looking forward to the next event!
