Incredible, caring staff that remains dedicated to their kids year after year! The new location is lovely, too.

I'v been to the MAC a few times in the past and have really enjoyed it, but this time it just…read morewasn't good, and I don't think I will be back. My dinner was cold by the time it got to me. There was a skimpy portion of thin and fatty odds and ends of ham, some coagulated super garlicky mashed potatoes with no butter or gravy, and steamed green beans which were flavorless and completely unadorned. The seating was incredibly cramped, and I did not enjoy sharing a table with complete strangers. There was an air conditioning vent blowing directly down onto me, and the wall behind me was filthy with dust bunnies and lint. By the end of the show several people in my general vicinity started displaying signs of irritability due to the tight quarters. The show I saw was A Christmas Story, and while the classic movie translated to the stage better than I thought it would, I felt there were a few elements that should have been excluded - such as the racism in the Chinese restaurant scene, the sexism in just about every scene with women in it, the portrayal of smoking, and the overacting (even for a community theater production where part of the appeal is the campiness) that I honestly don't remember being present in previous shows I have been to. One last thing - if you are going to do a show that features a firearm (even an unloaded BB gun) for f*ck's sake please educate your actors on proper handling. The barrel of anything (even an unloaded BB gun) pointed in my direction is gut twistingly uncomfortable.

The mashed sweet potatoes are heavenly! The dessert was okay; store-bought raspberry cheesecake. The show was pretty good too. There were some missteps in some of the dance numbers (near drop, near fall into orchestra pit), and a couple of wardrobe malfunctions (ripped pants, ripped hemline), but otherwise the show was very enjoyable. Now the question is: are these servers who act, or actors who serve? Because they do both very well!

I will give a 5 based on past experiences. Went to see a show today and honestly the level they…read moreare operating at seems a bit ridiculous. The facility is of course beautiful and they offer wonderful shows there. Or do when they are not shut down. This was the first show i have been to post covid. They have the first 6 rows blocked off so no one can sit in those. And then you have a row that people can sit in and then 3 rows skipped and then another row people can sit in. Basically looks like around 100 to 120 people can attend a production. So we can pack people in on planes like sardines. But 100 people can go to somewhere that generally seats 1500??? I get some spacing would be okay but honestly that was ridiculous. I know I will probably get some angry people with my thought on that. But that is how it is. My husband travels for work and is constantly on planes with people sitting shoulder to shoulder and people in every single seat. Yet in this HUGE venue they can have maybe 10% of their capacity???? Also you will be required to wear your mask the entire time. And there is staggered seating times based on where you are so pay attention to your email so you arrive at the right time. You are not allowed to wait inside, you have to wait outside until your time to enter and sit down. There were no actual programs given out just a online program so if you dont want to look at your phone, dont bring your phone or dont have a QR scanner that works well then you have no way to see the program. My husband who is 6 foot tall knees were banging on the back of the seat in front of him but guess it doesn't matter since no one was allowed to sit there. Anyhow. there it is. I have been to many a wonderful production there however. Hopefully this wont be the case forever because for me its a turn off. I am glad that they get to be open though and hopefully it will only get better from here.

My family was at this studio for nearly 4 years. The last year was so painful and hurtful and we…read moreregret having kept our daughters there for a long as we did. As a parent, we want our kids to be in a place where they can not only grow in their skills and have healthy safe relationships, but to also be safe and be treated with respect and dignity by their instructor. Having their hearts broken by an adult who was supposed to care for them was just devastating. Others have left this studio for similar reasons. It is my advice, based on our personal experience, that families might want to look elsewhere for a studio with a healthy and warm environment. There are many in the front range area! In response to owner's comments. Yes, it was very sad that my family and others had to leave after such a long time of hard work, loyalty and care for you and your studio. How sad that when families came to you for help and assistance, you chose to turn your back on us, and on the issues we brought to you in good faith. I realize it is good business to respond to reviews like the one I left, but it's such a shame you did not want to deal with the severe issues we brought to you while we were all still there and asking for your help and support. As for the mental health experts you mentioned, this was not what you said to us when we were asking for your help. We did not leave solely because of the draconian policies you introduced, but because of the dismissive and cruel way you treated our family, and the others who chose to leave. We loved you and cared for you in so many ways for years, and when we asked for your help suddenly the love was all gone and you chose instead, to dismiss us and our very serious concerns. I hope you do well in the future personally, but I also hope that other families will read this and approach with caution. Too many young broken hearts at frcba. The problem you had, is still there. The rest of us just chose not to subject our teens to the bullying and negative attitude any longer. It became clear that not only was the emotional and psychological welfare of all dancers not a concern for you, but their physical safety was also not of concern when another parent could use their vehicle to threaten us and risk injuring minors and other parents and you refused to handle the situation in any kind of meaningful way. While everything written here is simply our opinion, based on our experiences, I would want any parent considering bringing their child/ teen to frcba to think twice. As the parents, we chose to stop pouring our energies and finances into a studio where it is clear that not everyone is treated equally or with fairness or justice and perhaps mostly, in our opinion, where it simply isn't safe or healthy.
