This location is extremely clean and easy to access as long as you find parking or are coming in via public transportation or Uber. They accept walk-ins and they also take appointments, which is what I did. I recommend showing up 15 minutes before your appointment so that you can sign the waiver and select your jewelry. Even though you have an appointment that piercer will check your anatomy to ensure that you can actually get the piercing. Everyone is very helpful and will guide you through the process. They offer different kinds of jewelry and I want to make a note that they sell solid gold. I will definitely come back to get some more piercings once this one is healed. The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 is that they claim To have special promos during certain times of the day and encourage you to book online so you can get the promo but they never actually apply the promo in store which is deceiving. Nevertheless, I did get offered a juice box when I got dizzy and they were super kind and helpful.

Had such a great time getting my ear piercing done here. From beginning to end everything was a breeze and Dom did such a great job making sure my piercings were symmetrical !!! Thank you definitely will come back plus it's an added bonus that Georgetown cupcakes are across the street.

Third lobe piercing, way too close to second piercing

Would not recommend. Went in the middle of the day during the week where it wasn't as busy, but I still felt rushed through my appointment to get in and get out. I was getting my third lobe piercing and I told my piercer that these were the last ones I was going to get in my lobes so I wanted them to look evenly spaced out. As you can see from the photos, they were not evenly spaced out at all. The third piercing I got is so close to my last piercing and also too low that it just looks bad. I don't know how she mis-pierced from the dot placement and it's wild because she specifically said that she would make sure to include some distance between the piercings. I got my last piercings done at Studs and had a positive experience, but I will not be going back after this botched job.

Took my baby sis here and they did such a good job giving her fourth piercing! They explained how to take care of her ear afterwards and made sure she felt super comfortable. They also helped her decide where on her ear the piercing should go and guided her along through the whole process!

This was yet another great experience at Catbird! I came in already knowing the necklace I wanted to get and having an idea of a few rings I wanted to try on. I came on a Friday morning right by opening. Parking in Georgetown is definitely challenging; but you can find free street parking ~0.3-0.7 miles away in the residential areas if you circle around a bit and walk over. There was one employee there when I arrived and she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful! They didn't have the Sylvie Medallion I wanted in stock but given that the necklace has an engraving option, this made sense. I wanted to come in and try it on though to gauge size of the pendant itself as well as figure out which chain length I wanted. The employee who was present totally understood this and produced another necklace pendant that was the same size and measured it with a ruler to double check, pulled out the exact chain I was thinking of and let me try out different samples wearing the necklace. I was able to pick out the chain I wanted and confirm the necklace was the size I wanted. I also tried on a bunch of rings to narrow down what I wanted and she was so patient with me as I tried several rings in multiple sizes to determine what fit and looked the best paired with my current stack. This location has a lot of jewelry on site, but if you're coming from far maybe call in advance just in case if you want to carry the jewelry out of store. I was able to order my necklace in store and have it shipped to my home with the custom engraving I wanted so that worked for me.

This was supposed to be a really special and exciting milestone for us, but instead, I left the store feeling embarrassed, uncomfortable, and genuinely hurt. We were already nervous going into the appointment because this was completely new for us. We arrived about 30 minutes late because we could not find parking, and we called the store around 5:05 PM to let them know we were running behind. We completely understood that our appointment would have to be shortened, and when we were told that we could still do about half of the appointment, we were okay with that. We weren't expecting special treatment or extra time. We were simply excited to have the opportunity to start this experience together. Bri was the representative assisting us, and unfortunately, her attitude made an already nerve-wracking experience so much worse. From the beginning, I felt like I was being talked down to. I told her that I wasn't very familiar with ring settings and that I wasn't particularly picky because I was genuinely looking for guidance. Instead of feeling like I had someone there to help me navigate something I knew very little about, I felt like every question I asked was met with a snarky or condescending response. At one point, I tried on a ring with a gold band and mentioned that I'm typically more of a silver-toned jewelry person. Her response was that everything is customizable and that I was "just trying bands on." I understand that the rings are customizable. I wasn't confused about that--I was simply expressing my preference and trying to understand what I liked and didn't like. It's difficult to explain how upsetting the overall interaction was because it wasn't just one comment. It was the entire energy of the appointment. I felt rushed. I felt like we were inconveniencing her. I felt uncomfortable asking questions. And instead of leaving excited about potentially finding my engagement ring, I left questioning whether I had done something wrong. I completely understand that we were late. We took responsibility for that. But if the remaining 30 minutes wasn't enough time for Bri to provide us with a welcoming and respectful experience, we should have simply been told that we needed to reschedule. We would have understood. What I don't understand is why we were allowed to continue with the appointment only to be made to feel like our presence was a burden. This was supposed to be a memory I looked back on fondly. This was the first step in choosing something that I may wear for the rest of my life, and I wanted to feel excited, supported, and celebrated. Instead, I walked out of Brilliant Earth feeling hurt and honestly dreading the idea of continuing the ring-shopping process. I don't expect someone helping me shop for an engagement ring to know exactly what I want when I walk through the door. That's literally why I'm there. I expect patience. I expect kindness. I expect someone to understand that this is an emotional and meaningful purchase and that I may have questions. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously. No couple should walk into their first engagement ring appointment feeling nervous and excited and walk out feeling embarrassed and defeated. We deserved a better experience than the one we received.

Following a conference in Washington, D.C., I stopped into The Phoenix and asked to try on a ring. An associate was helping me when the manager, Bonnie, followed us over. When I reached toward the open case to indicate the ring I wanted to see, she reprimanded the associate in front of me, instructed her to lock the case, and made the interaction feel as though I were being treated as a theft risk rather than a customer. Being Latina, the experience felt like racial profiling. I cannot speak to intent, only to the effect: feeling watched, suspect, and unwelcome. Founder to founder, I also found the judgment behind the interaction striking. Much of my own work centers on brand, customer experience, and how businesses earn trust. In a multi-brand store, where customers can easily buy directly from the designers or elsewhere, this kind of treatment is especially short-sighted. Even before that interaction, the atmosphere felt unusual. Bonnie was having staff stand by while she tried on clothing, creating an environment that seemed centered more on the manager than the customer. On Women's Equality Day, the irony was difficult to miss. Women are not exempt from treating other women badly. We should expect better.

However, once we sat down, things completely shifted. Our sales associate brought out two sets of ring options -- and then essentially disappeared. There was no walkthrough of metal options for men's or women's bands, no explanation of customization choices, and no guidance at all. We were just handed rings and left to figure it out ourselves. I kept having to ask, "Do you have more? Are there more options? Can I see more please?" It felt like pulling teeth just to see additional selections. At times, it genuinely felt like he was reluctant to show us more -- almost as if he just wanted to rush the process, get the order submitted, and move on. That's how it came across. What made it worse was noticing other couples being shown a much wider selection and having options thoroughly explained by their sales associates. They were being engaged with, educated, and guided through the process. We weren't even told additional options were available unless we specifically asked. The overall experience felt very cold and hands-off. I will say another associate kindly checked in on us and asked if we needed anything, which we appreciated -- and honestly, looking back, I wish we had accepted the help. But we wanted to give our assigned SA the opportunity to do his job. On top of that, everything had to be processed online, as they don't take payments in-store. We went ahead and placed our orders, but three hours later, we were still bothered by how disengaged and transactional the experience felt -- so we canceled. I'd rather spend my money somewhere that values customer experience, especially for something as meaningful as wedding rings. It's unfortunate because James Allen was always on my shortlist for wedding jewelry. After this experience -- and seeing similar reviews -- I won't be returning. I just hope the refund process is handled promptly.

It was it was empty except for one other customer and then all of a sudden, it got crowded (the employees called it the Friday evening rush). Salesperson Shahgol assisted me and I think she did a great job. I was interested in getting a bracelet with a charm that had my mom's birthstone. She showed me an already created set called the Elegance Collection. I thought it was perfect and the additional birthstone charm when well with it. As luck would have it, there was a promotion in the store--if your purchase is at least $125 dollars, you get a free ring (value up to $65). Since my purchase was double, I got two rings. Shahgol said that I could give my mom the other ring. Umm, no--the bracelet is for mom, the rings are for me! I can't believe that it took me this long to go into Pandora.
