I had called 2 photographers in Gilroy for my wedding, and while Michael was about $500 more expensive than the other one - I realized that getting photographs of the day in the style I preferred was worth the extra expense. We had a few phone conversations and he worked me up a price for the wedding day. (I was not going to need engagement photos OR actual prints). My price included X hours of his time at the ceremony, his retouching/sorting of shots, and then posting ALL photos for me to download. Michael was very pleasant and engaging on the phone and was another vendor that I knew I could count on (whew). You pay 1/2 as a deposit and the other half a few days before the wedding. I met him about 30 mins before the ceremony and he was already shooting away. I had supplied him with a shot list, some photo styles I liked, and a couple other specifics (like that I wanted shots of all the food at my wedding). He covered all of those off. I had also told him I really wanted the group shots to be FAST FAST so I could get them done and enjoy my reception. Now I don't remember all of it, but I recall those shots maybe took 20 mins - which might be a world record. My cake cutting turned out to be after his time ran out - but he was a trooper and stayed the extra time without charging me. In the end there were nearly 700 shots posted for us to download! Everyone always tells you that the day is a blur, and they were right, I barely remember a thing! Thank goodness I have a record of the day with 700 photos. Highly recommend.

We first booked Patricia for our maternity session, 6 years ago, and have been using her for all of our family photos ever since: Newborn session, smash cake, first birthday party and every year, we try taking advantage of the 2 pre-booked sessions (Mommy & Me and the Fall Session, which is announced on her social media) - usually it happens in April and September/October. I highly recommend taking advantage of it as I find these to be very convenient, by keeping us on a schedule to get us captured twice a year, around the same time - it's a lot of fun to look back and see how much we have all changed in a 6 month period and through the years. Being a Big Sur/Monterey local, Adam provided extremely helpful insight and feedback for my proposal. He definitely helped relieve a lot of the stress during the planning phase of my proposal. Very less guidance on how to pose. When I choose her I read the reviews here in Yelp and I wanted someone to capture all the candids from the event and her services were not cheap ($350/hr)...and it was very clear why - So many of pics were ruined bc she didn't make sure everyone was looking at the camera (Note* this is from the directed shoot with my fiancé) when I asked her why the part of the picture is blurred? She responded it's the weather and the lighting!! During the event a lot of back of the head pictures were taken and when I asked her why is this? She responded it tells a story, everyone I shared the album has said they were embarrassed to see bald heads!! Some Pros (along with cons): - She is very calm, which is good and bad! Good for still photography, but at an event I would expect a photographer to go around and capture the best moments. Most of the time she stayed away from the crowd hence the strange photos. - The good news is she took a montage video which came out good, not great, but okay...so our video did catch a lot of the highlights of our evening. - She is very professional, due to the weather conditions on my engagement event guests arrived a little late and I requested her to take an extra time shift and her calendar was open hence she agreed to it. - I have given my honest feedback on how the photos turned out, she tried to recrop, reedit the album which was nice of her to accept feedback and work to make the customer happy but honestly the moments are missed so there is nothing much to be done in my situation. Total amount spent for one evening - $1400 for that amount it's definitely not worth it. (*Note attached photo samples covers my frustration of the 60% album the rest of the 40% came out decent) Hope this helps!

She made no effort to make things right or apologize for us having a bad experience. Edited review: In 2019, I took my first born when he was 2 weeks old to Rebecca to get some shots for a birth announcement. We went in for a shoot, she said it would be a few hundred $ for the shoot. We didn't ask for it, but she really wanted to do a "classic" naked baby shoot with him asleep. We should have just said no thank you. In hindsight, this is obvious, but we ended up getting pee'd and poo'd on. We had to leave, as we didn't have any more clean clothes. She offered to have us back a week later, which was nice. We came back, and the baby was more cooperative. 3 weeks later, she has us come in and review the photos, they looked great! She wanted to sell us prints. We were only interested in the digitals, we should have asked about this before the shoot. We only found out that the digitals would be more than a thousand $ additional after the shoot. It left us feeling pretty sour because our baby was now 6 weeks old, and we had no choice but to pay her. The photos came out nice, and everyone loved the birth announcement, but I still think about the bad experience we had when I look at them. New: I've now hired professional photographers for all 3 of my babies, and I have context to be confident that there are better options elsewhere that include digital in their base price, and don't have a dated business model that assumes you are buying prints.
