Not from Dallas but I was looking for a nice salon to get my nails and feet done for my birthday. I was very impressed with my pedicure so I just assumed my nails were in good hands as well especially since I had been there for like 3 hours or more. I would have appreciated if when I showed the nail deign I wanted I was told that I've never done this instead I was told yes sure price was $55. After waiting to soak nails, waiting, for the nail tech to get someone change, cover the register in between different times all while in between doing my nails. I then realized I was the only one there. Workers all left customers who came after me gone. All the while my nails still don't resemble the picture. I was then told $5 off since it took so long. I asked for a silver lining to add since all the designs were uneven. That only made it worse. I was then told at register instead of $55 it's $45 so $10 off. Total $70 and my birthday nails are ruined and I have to spend time tomorrow getting them redone somewhere else. Overall customer service was good she tried to make small talk but my nails still were no appealing to the eye. read more

I went to this nail salon with a friend after work and I have to say I've found a new go to nail place. We each got a manicure and while your nails are drying, they give you a massage. I got a free margarita that was absolutely delicious. The interior decor is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. They did my eyebrows better than anywhere I've ever been as well. We walked in without an appointment for a pedicure, and had a great experience. The smell of this place is great, even though it's a nail salon I like that you don't get that strong chemical smell, which I believe is the smell of most nail salons. The place itself is sparkly clean, even their restroom was nice and clean unlike some nail places I have been to in the past. The customer service was great I appreciate the fact that they ask you for what you want and tell you the price upfront. They offer you complimentary beverages which is also nice, they really make you feel like it's all about you. Definitely the place to treat your self. The only down side is that it is a bit pricey. Also they told us to wait for our feet to dry and forgot about us for a good 40 min as they were all in the front counter making conversation. read more

I ended up choosing a cup of coffee since that was the only non alcoholic drink on the menu. I have been coming to Stunning Nail Spa ever since they opened. I have never had any problems with the way things are done here, or with any nail techs. The prices are reasonable and they offer wine and margaritas!! Lisa is the owner and Kim, her sister is the manager. They are such NICE and FAIR people. I first met Lisa when I was EIGHT years old. She worked in Collin Creek Mall at Le Nails and I have followed/stuck with her ever since. She started off doing my nails but when she opened Stunning Nail Spa she started to do lashes and got so busy that, that's really all she does now. If you have never had eye lash extensions before I HIGHLY recommend coming to see Lisa. She makes them so beautiful, naturally and TAKES HER TIME...I ALWAYS get compliments on my lashes everywhere I go. I believe she uses the best type of lashes too. When she opened Stunning Nail Spa a few years later she brought on her sister Kim. I feel in love with Kim right away. It's soooo hard to find nail techs that take their time and do your nails exactly how you want them! She doesn't care how picky you are, she will do whatever shape, design, or color you ask. Like all girls it's so hard choosing what color you want or would look good on your skin too and one thing I love about Kim is she will tell me if she thinks something isn't going to look right on me lol. I appreciate that a lot! There have been times where I've made appointments with her or my other nail tech lady, V (who is AMAZING) and they end up sick or weren't able to come in so they recommend someone else and I'm never let down. They know how picky I am and yet everyone they have there seems to be AWESOME. I just love Stunning Nail Spa, the owners and the workers there. Lisa has been my nail tech and aesthetician for years, so after two different dermatologists had unsuccessfully been able to treat my 19 year-old son's acne, I asked Lisa to work her "magic" on his face like she does for me. Five days later, his face is unbelievably better!!! I've never had a nail tech that I enjoyed going to until I met Steve. I've been going to him for 3 years now and I wouldn't even consider anyone else. The quality of his product is by far the best that I've ever had. I absolutely LOVE the way he does my nails and his personality is a complete plus. I hated going to nail salons where they didn't ever talk to me and it was awkward. He always goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are satisfied. He's always offering drinks and beverages and checking up on walk ins. Being a client for as long as I have, I can tell you that anyone that has ever given me a pedicure there, has done a great job. I can honestly say I have ZERO complaints. If ever i don't like something, and i express it to Steve, he will get it fixed to my liking. His customer service is superb! I work with people all day, everyday, I appreciate excellent customer service. I always feel like I'm getting a deal when I checkout for the quality of the product. My nails will last a month and a half if I am too busy to make it in. My toes don't ever chip, which is rare for me because I am always rough on nails period. Easily one of the best places in Plano to get your nails done. I have been coming here for several months now and am always impressed. I don't usually have an appointment because of my busy work schedule. They know me by name now, always work me in as a walk-in, always have relaxing music playing and have my favorite drink on-hand..Miller Lite! The last few times I have gotten my nails done have been with Hannah and she is truly excellent at what she does. **sigh** Another mediocre experience at best. I struggled in finding a polish because the majority of the traditional polishes were weird brands. There was perhaps a handful of OPI polish on the shelf that looked old. I sat down for a mani/pedi. Tub liner was used, but the tech came out with a tackle box and the unsealed tools were in her box, so I am going on a wing and a prayer that the tools were sterile. I was given a menu, and decided to go with the spa mani/pedi combo with callous removal for $45.00. The tech tried to up sell me on services, which is very annoying. The pedi was just meh with little work on my heels despite the extra callous removal costs. My clean-up mani was a little south of meh with a little bit of filing and pushing by my cuticles. Also got my brows waxed for $10.00, but the tech again tried to up sell me on other waxes telling me the I have a mustache. Really? That is incredibly offensive especially when I don't. I sat in the pedi chair for the brow wax, and I still had to use tweezers when I got home to clean up my brows. There is a margarita machine, so perhaps they liquor customers up so they leave happy? Ugh, still in search of the perfect nail salon. read more

I walked in with my sister to get nexgen nails. They say my sister immediately and said they would return with colors. I waited 5 minutes and an employee asked if I wanted my nails done, since I was sitting at the nail station. I replied that I did and that I was suppose to be brought colors and had not. She brought the colors for me to look at and said she would be back. I waited 30 minutes and when someone finally came to talk to me again they asked me to wait another 5-10 minutes. At that point my sister was almost done with her entire pedicure and I told them once she is done we are just going to leave. The place is beautiful and spacious which I give for the two stars. I just got my nails done yesterday with my friend and we were quite disappointed with their skills. I asked for a simple, solid color shellac, filed down slightly, but she cut my nails... And too late!!.. One is short so cut them all. But what do you know.. my nails are so uneven. Some are long and some are really short and some are rounded and some are squared. I came home and filed them myself. And she didn't cut my cuticles enough. It looks messy and unprofessional. My friend was also pretty angry about her nails. She asked for deep French tip and the curve of the French tips are horrible. They arent even curved. They are slanted. Not happy. We found Stunning Nails on yelp and went on an icy day. They were the only salon open, busy and by far one of the best salons I've ever been to!!!! They have any color you could possibly want - including Shellac. I have never seen such a large Shellac selection and I've been to many nail salons in the past year. Steve did my friend's nails and was great, very conversational and entertaining. We made an appointment and right when we got there we were taken care of. I received a gift certificate last year and thought I would use it as a birthday gift to myself. After reading the reviews I thought this was a GREAT place to go. I go there at a little after 10 since they opened at 10 and wouldn't you know they was already packed. By regulars I could tell since the man greeted every customer by name when they walked in very nice :). The wait was a little long but I was in no hurry. I should point out there was no problem in them honoring my certificate, HUGE PLUS!! Overall I really enjoyed this place and plan on going back when I need a fill or my eyebrows done. I tried this place out today because my normal salon is remodeling. Wow... what a mistake this place was! I took a chance on this place because of the rave reviews. But experience was less than pleasant. My nail technician was very inexperienced she kept slipping with equipment, then scraped my nails so hard that it was painful, my nail lengths and shaping style are all uneven. The same tech did my eyebrow waxing which left my with a bruise in my left eye! I am never ever ever ever going to this place again! read more
