Dealership: Stykemain Chevrolet - Paulding, OH Individuals involved: * Jesse Renollet - Sales Manager (claimed to be General Manager) * Brad Davis - Salesperson * Jim Stykemain - Owner Today we drove two and a half hours to Paulding, Ohio to look at a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel. I contacted the salesperson (Brad Davis) when the dealership opened and was upfront that we would want to negotiate in person. He was friendly, responsive, and professional throughout. When we arrived, the truck started and we were allowed to test drive it. Less than one mile into the drive, the truck lost power and began throwing warning messages. We were forced to pull over just off a busy highway in actual -10°F temperatures (not wind chill) with traffic flying by. The truck would not restart, and we were left sitting on the roadside with our hazards on in dangerous conditions. We attempted to contact the salesperson several times with no answer. We eventually reached the receptionist, who tried to transfer us to service, but no one answered. We explained that we were stranded, unsafe, and could literally see the dealership from where we were sitting. After some time, the salesperson and a service employee arrived and brought us back. The truck ultimately had to be towed back to the dealership. They suggested the diesel fuel may have gelled due to low fuel, which is plausible. Despite this, we were still willing to move forward with the purchase if the dealership was willing to work with us given the circumstances. That's when the attitude from management became the real problem. I approached the sales manager, Jesse Renollet, respectfully to discuss whether there might be any flexibility on price given that we had just been stranded in dangerous conditions after driving five hours round trip. His response was cold and dismissive: "The price is the price." No apology. No concern for safety. No acknowledgment of the situation. When I asked if the general manager was available, he said he was the general manager. I then asked about speaking with the owner. He asked, "Would you like to speak with him?" When I said yes, he turned as if he was going to call, then turned back with a sarcastic smirk and said, "Oh, I forgot, he's on his way to Florida." The interaction was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. To be clear, our salesperson was courteous and professional. This failure falls squarely on management. After everything that occurred, the dealership offered not a penny off the advertised price and even stated they would be raising the price the following week. Based on this experience, I strongly encourage others to read the reviews and take them seriously. This dealership does not value customer safety, customer service, or accountability. I will not return, and I will be sharing this experience publicly. read more

Will never go back. I had over $1,300 worth of work done to my car. When I picked it up there were 4 huge scratches on the drivers side. I contacted them multiple times to resolve the issue and was given no response or solution. Not to mention 2 days after being in the shop, my check engine light came back on. It was bad enough being given a 7 passenger, fuel guzzling loaner, that was filthy to drive in the 4 days I waited. But to receive my car back damaged is unacceptable and it became clear they only care about money and not their customers. I just had a very bad experience with Stykemain Chevrolet. I called the dealership a week ago last Saturday to look at a new 2021 Silverado Custom they had advertised on their website. I was told by the salesperson that this vehicle was not at the dealership because it was being used as a loaner for someone. I was told the vehicle would be returned to the dealership on Thursday and I could come see it then. I received a text message from the salesperson Thursday morning that he would call me as soon as the vehicle was in. I waited to hear something all day but did not receive a call. On Friday I called the dealership and asked for the salesperson I had been dealing with. I was told that this salesperson was no longer with the dealership. I asked for another salesperson and explained the entire situation. I was told the vehicle was still not available but was supposed to be returned yet that afternoon. I was assured that they would call me as soon as it came in and would hold it for me. I finally received a text today that one the salespeople had sold the truck this morning. What????? I had been waiting for a week to see this truck, was told it was not in and they would hold it for me when it came back in and now it's sold???? I called and asked for the sales manager and was told he was not available. Called for the owner and was told he was not in. Not sure what is going on at this dealership but I was treated very unfairly. Be very careful if you choose to do business with this dealership. read more

He is very personable and pays attention to details. He goes the extra mile and it did not go unnoticed by us. Our phone calls were returned promptly and he was 'on the job'. Honestly, i should be glad i didnt buy anything from this dealership after reading a lot of the other reviews. My best guess is they just didnt want my business. Everything started out fine. They had the vehicle i was looking for, slightly over priced for the condition but still worth my time to drive the 30 miles out there. To say that they low balled my trade would be a gross understatement. Iv been to 6 other dealerships and the offer i received from stykemain was the most insulting I'd ever heard. Now i wasn't expecting top blue book value, but not 2000 under the low end of blue book. So l left with the salesman telling me he would speak to his manager and see if they could do better. He even called the next day to ask if i had gotten any other offers and he again said he would call me back and that was the last i heard from him. After a week of looking around some more and on my way back from another dealer that didnt have what i was looking for i decided to stop by again and hopefully talk to someone else or maybe the same guy if i had to. I end up talking to the same salesman only this time he offers me 900 under the original slap in the face offer. And he claims he has no record of the previous offer and doesn't have access to the database to retrieve it. So i leave with him once again telling me he will speak to his manager and call me by 5 pm that afternoon. Of course i never heard back from him. Had an executed Sale Agreement which included a trade-in and delivery with Salesman Jay Dachenhaus and his Sales Manager Jeese Renollet. Three days after accepting my offer and one day prior to the scheduled delivery, Jay cancelled my contract stating that they "forgot to figure in the sales tax" and could not offer me the truck at the previously agreed price. The truck was never re-listed for sale and clearly they sales management team agreed they could cancel my contract to pursue another sale option. Called in long distance to get a price on my trade. I understand I am calling in but I sent pictures and full info on my trade. They were close to what I wanted but when I pushed (I was friendly) for a little more thats when my sales man Miguel became VERY rude then told me his manager said not to deal with me any more lol. Not once did I get rude just wanted $1000 more for my trade and stuck to it. I wouldnt waste time at this dealer especially if you plan on driving far. They want a fast buck and if you dont take their price theyll just tell you to go away. The salesman also started going the other way on price and offered $1000 less then the last offer lol. I can't say enough about this dealership! From our salesman (Bubba), to the finance manager, we are blown away by their professionalism. We live about 3 1/2 hours south (near Cincinnati). I found the exact Camaro I was looking for via Autotrader.com, located here. It was the color I was looking for and had the features I wanted. My husband told me to call and get more info. Our salesman took our information via phone and called me within 2 hours with the financing details. We also receive the GMS discount, which we were also able to complete quickly. After reviewing the terms, they pulled the car off the lot for me. They made this deal happen within a short period of time on a Wednesday, but we were unable to pick the car up until Friday evening (they even offered to have the car delivered to us for $250!). Shortly after speaking to us by phone, they received a full cash offer on the car, but explained that it had already sold. Once we arrived at the dealership, we were literally in and out within a half hour! Unfortunately, we live too far south to take advantage of their free car wash program or to use them for oil changes, but we plan to only purchase our Chevy's from them in the future. They have a huge truck inventory there, too. It's located in the middle of nowhere, but totally worth the drive. read more

We bought a very nice certified pre-owned car here. We got it home that night after signing papers and saw a crack in the bumper. Took it back the next day and said we wanted the crack fixed or we wanted to return the car. They said they would fix it. 1 1/2 months later they said they knew it had a crack in the bumper when they put it on the lot and had no intentions of ever fixing it. We were lied to numerous times about this car and other cars we test drove. Jim Stykemain is a very arrogant and disrespectful man. Don't ever do business here! They are crooks! read more
