Absolutely love this store! I have found so many great deals over the past month. Bought a brand new jean jacket today with $120 price tag marked down to $17. Most items are slightly worn but they are name brand items that are reasonably priced. New clothing for women has skyrocketed so this is a great alternative for those on a tight budget. I'm not the person who plays the race card but after going to this place twice, they showed me that race is definitely an indicator when it comes to them distributing money for your goods! The employees that are in charge here are "dingy" white women who appear to have your best interest at hand until it's time to make the transaction. I went here with nothing but designer in top notch condition. As I entered the store, they welcomed me in and took my items. They explained to me that the process would take 45 min-1 hour. I waited 1hour and 30 minutes I went in after about 1 hour for them to tell me that I was next in line. Their were lots of conversations going on with other women of their kind as if the customers were regulars. One employee stated aloud: "Let's get you some cash!" to a customer (who was a white female that appeared to have been a regular) they conversed back and forth as I STILL waited PATIENTLY for them to give me some BULL!!! I had about 5 items, in which 3 of them were designer but they only gave me an offer for 1. They said the others were not in the condition to BUY, mind you. One of the 3 were a pair of BRAND NEW designer shoes! Top of the line to be exact. The item that they did decide to buy is selling TODAY for $1500. Do you know that these heifers only offered me $304 for some "like new" top of the line designer boots?! They waisted 2 hours of my time to tell me this!!! How MALICIOUS can some people be!!! This was EVIL! This was PERSONAL!!! I will NEVER go back to this place to shop or sell, it's a JOKE!!! Especially if your African American! read more

My daughter has bought clothes here over the years, but I've never been inside until today. And, I gotta say, I was super impressed and delighted with my decision. When we walked in, we were greeted by Jen and she was super helpful throughout our entire shopping experience. While we shopped, she started a changing room for us and kept our arms free to look around some more. While trying on dresses, she gave us honest opinions on our selections and helped us to decide what to buy. Place was clean (spotless, really considering how many clothes, shoes, and accessories there were). Dressing rooms were sanitized after every use and staff was masked for our protection. Usually my favorite store. Prior to the pandemic, I was a regular stopping in at least 9nce a week. Check my frequent purchase card! I went to the store today for the first time since the pandemic. What I saw was wearing a mask was not being enforced. It is a tight area and not safe. So I left after seeing multiple shoppers without masks. When you start enforcing masks, I will be back. Really exciting, very organized store with stylish gently used clothing. Shoes in my size were easy to find and I was thrilled there were so many options. I received a warm greeting when entering and was given a quick rundown of how things were set up. Getting a dressing room took a couple of minutes, but they were getting busy. I would give this a 0 star since I was literally prohibited from shopping and instead was kicked out. I came into the store and was unlawfully prevented from shopping, harassed, told to leave and discriminated against because I did not wear a mask, which I am free to do according to the constitution which is the law of the land. This is a public place of business and there for it was not only rude but illegal and unwise for you to refuse my money. I was not causing any problems, nor was I sick. If you believe in the constitution and you want to exercise your rights and freedoms as a US citizen, then do not shop here because they are refusing to concede to your rights as a human being. The employee was very rude. As soon as I told her that I did not wear masks, she began to stiffen and talk to me in a very angry and disrespectful way. As a side note, the prices are a bit high. You could try Freedom House Thrift, the employees there are very kind and courteous and I have found some very nice clothing there as well as other things. The prices, since it is not a consignment store, are much better as well. read more

They usually have cute clothing with good prices, so that's a plus and earned them a star. The pricing is inconsistent- brand new with tags item priced the same as well-worn pilled item (same brand and style). I once pointed out to an associate that an item brand new with tags was actually priced higher than retail (not hard to do with a Wal-Mart item, but come on!). She took the item off the floor and when I came back a few days later, the original price tag was torn off and the price was unchanged. Dishonesty from staff is a big red flag for me. Tonight, I saw a pair of shorts in an Instagram post for a good price and went up to buy them. I tried them on and they fit, so I was excited to get there before someone else and snag them! They were well-loved with a bit of pilling on the inside but priced a few dollars than typical for that item. When I checked out, I handed the associate my card and after she swiped, I noticed the price I was charged was $5 more than what I thought it should be. I pointed out the discrepancy and another associate said "oh, that's totally my fault, I'm so sorry". That was it- there was no willingness to honor the advertised price. I told them to refund my card and I left, with no plan to ever return. Moral of the story- you can likely find good things here but don't expect pricing to be amazing and don't expect amazing customer service. read more

My wife was told about this place by a coworker and I am posting this for her since I was with her. One thing that is majorly different with this store versus others that are similar (Uptown Cheapskate, Platos Closet, etc) is that it is for women, real women not the young teenager or college student. They have a wide variety of selection from small to 4x. Everything is neatly arranged so you don't have to search every rack for hours just trying to find your size. Their pricing is better than ideal and though some things are used and some still have the original tags everything seems to be in great shape, even the shoes. The employees work as a team and want to get on a first name bases with all their guest. They even have "man chairs" for husbands like me that don't mind spending time with their wife. In my man opinion, if your a woman and hate paying outrageous prices for new name brand clothing then you should check this place out. read more

You have racks filled with Jrs clothing, etc., yet a bandeau is not within your target audience?? It's all in the delivery and the young lady was very rude! Bye-bye! Moving on to a more friendly sophisticated boutique. PS: As a business owner, may I suggest instead of being overtly snide, you train your sales' personnel to simply say, "No, I am sorry, we do not have any in stock and typically do not carry them." Glad to have discovered this consignment gem in Greensboro (although it is bad for my wallet...)! The space is huge and although everything is laid out in an extremely organized way, it can still feel overwhelming. I have been twice in the past month - I follow Style Encore on Instagram and use their posts to gauge if I want to make a trip or not. Their team is great about posting new items as they come and they include the sizing/prices, too. I went a few weeks ago specifically to try on the 3 lululemon leggings they posted on Instagram. My method in this store is to look at labels - they have an incredible selection of brand name items, and I am working on purchasing higher quality items when it comes to clothing, shoes, and accessories, so sticking to checking labels has helped me be successful here. On my first trip, I left with a grey long-sleeve Theory top that is extremely soft and was $23. The price was higher than other items, but Theory is a great brand with higher quality materials. On my second trip (when I wanted lululemon leggings, which I have never purchased before, and unfortunately, did not love them on me!) I left with a gently used Cole Haan beige wristlet (with a wrist strap, which is an item I have been on the hunt for). The Cole Haan wristlet feels like butter, cost $20, and although there is a minor stain on the back side, I decided that for the quality, color, and usefulness (i have 6 weddings to attend this year), I can live with the minor stain. Overall - check this place out if you have the patience to sift through racks and racks of gently used items. And, follow them on instagram! read more

Great clothes and a lot to choose from. 3 stars because the manager is extremely unpleasant. She gives off an VERY negative vibe and makes you feel as though you are not welcomed. There has been multiple instances where she has said something about me or other customers to her coworkers under her breath. She seems to truly hate her job - which makes it hard to have a good shopping experience for a customer. It seems your business is not wanted when dealing with this certain manager. I would not recommend. Better of driving to Winston Salem to have a more pleasant experience! read more

I wore Steve Madden black suede booties one time, bought last year, and they could not accept because of scuff marks on the bottom. The variety is from average to top of line with terrific prices all organized by style, size and color. Makes shopping so much easier! There's a variety of shoes and accessories too. Went there today to sell some items that belonged to a family member with good taste. Luckily, I took photos of each piece while I was at the counter before putting them in the bin to be taken away and evaluated. After receiving the text to let us know our "buy" had been completed, we returned and a team member presented us with 2 bins, one with items they didn't want and the other with the ones they would take for $45. As I looked through both bins, she became extremely agitated and asked me to stop. Fortunately, I ignored her and kept looking and discovered 4 items of clothing were missing! We asked her what happened to them, which made her very angry, but then -as if she knew exactly where they were - she picked up a third bin from behind the counter with the 4 missing items and rudely gave it to us. She did not apologize, in fact, she refused to look at us or speak to us again. What a scam, this place tried to steal from us!!! Can't help but wonder how many people get fleeced by them on a daily basis, BEWARE!!!!! It's one thing to offer you way less money than your stuff is worth, but to remove and hide items from customers hoping they won't notice is nothing short of criminal!!! read more
