What a great find! Think along the lines of Plato's Closet, but for the mid twenties and up crowd. They have gently used clothing in a huge variety of styles and serially good pricing. The shoes are abundant here as well. If you're into beans name hands bags, you may wanna pop in here and check their selection. They have anything from Fendi to Vera Bradley. Oh, dear. I LOVE a great secondhand store, so I was excited to check this place out. Skip it. Though the store is organized and it has some good brands and items, the price tags are insane ($50 for Tory Burch flip flops is bonkers), and the people who work there hate their jobs and it shows. I couldn't get anyone to help me with a dressing room, and then when it came time to pay for an item, not a soul came forward to check me out. I put the blouse back and walked out. Orlando, you really have a gem with this store! I currently live in Southern California and you would be shocked how hard it is to find a decent consignment store with quality items. In Cali, you have to buy new because all the thrift stores and consignment shops sell literal junk. In comparison, this store has classy, good quality clothes! I've been hearing all about this place from a few friends who had such excellent experiences shopping here and getting styled. My mission was to sell items from my closet and make a little extra $$ since my items would otherwise be donated. I came on a Monday morning and there were no crowds of any sorts. You walk in and it's like sensory overload. You don't know where to look first--- jewelry, shoes, dresses, etc..... and this place is SO organized and sized! I so appreciate this as it really frustrates me when you go to stores where the racks are a mess. They really make shopping here stress free. I had 2 big bags of items to sell. The friendly girl at the counter informed me that it would take about 25 minutes to go through everything. Apparently they enter every item in their system and it gives them a price. Unlike Plato's Closet, they sell more "grown up brands" like items from Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Loft, etc. They buy back based on condition (no pilling or wear, no stains) and how old the item is. Items with tags are a plus also (I may have had a few- hey I used to work retail). I would recommend laundering items before bringing them in as they retag to place on salesfloor as soon as they buy from you. So I decided to browse while waiting but you do have the option to leave and they will call you when they have an amount ready to offer (if they opt to take any of your items). They have a vast array of clothing, shoes and accessories. You could easily spend a day here. And I keep hearing about their amazing stylist, Sandii, from friends. She is known to whip up a new wardrobe in no time. And the service is FREE! She wasn't there but I'm interested in setting an appointment with her now. Back to the store, if you're on a budget and want fashion forward merchandise, you need to head here. The prices are super affordable and the styles are perfect for work and play! Most of the items I saw didn't surpass $30. The highest item I saw was a pair of Chanel sunglasses at $150 but not representative of the store. I could definitely see someone getting a whole new wardrobe, including accessories, for under $200! Which is usually only several items if you go to a department store. Overall, I was very happy with my visit. They bought a good amount of pieces I brought in so I am even more inspired to declutter and head back. Also, make sure to sign up for their emails. I was told it would be up to a half hour and wait to see me name on the erase board. While the employees were going through my clothes and someone else's they were making rude remarks loudly. I walked around the store for a half hour and stood at the front for another 15 minutes after being acknowledged I was told they were finished. My name and the other customers name were never written in the board. I felt like we were bothering them. read more

Horrible customer service. I went on the stores website to check if you have to make an appointment and clearly said no appointment necessary. After walking in and being ignored by 3 staff members for over 5 minutes I finally had a rude employee come over. She rolled her eyes as she asked if I had an appointment. This place has terrible customer service. I drove over 45 minutes with 3 bags full of clothes to sell. When I got there they told me that they could not accept my clothes and that I would have to return with the clothes neatly folded in a basket. They also told me they can only take one basket per customer because they are short staffed. However, when I walked in there were 2 associates behind the desk and 2 in front of the desk talking to them. Didn't seem short staffed to me. The place was empty. By the way, nowhere on their website did I see that clothes would only be accepted if they were folded and in a basket. read more

I first learned about Style Encore from a fellow blogger. I had multiple friends that tried our Stitch Fix, but I just didn't feel like it was the right thing for me. I wanted help picking out my clothes but I didn't just want a random box of high priced items showing up at my door. So when I read about Style Encore and how you could have a stylist help pick out clothes for you (for FREE) I was pretty excited. Style Encore is like an updated version of a resale store. People can come in and sell their gently-worn items, and then Style Encore sells them to the public. The store is arrange my item type and color. It is wonderful and overwhelming all at the same time. While I love the idea of purchasing top of the line items at low prices, I tend to get irritated digging through racks trying to find what I want or trying to figure out what I want. Then I learned that Style Encore has a stylist. A stylist that can help you pick out the right clothes for you... and its a FREE service! After filling out a short questionnaire their stylist Sandii picks out some outfits for you (complete with shoes and accessories) and has them waiting for you when you come in. You can either just have her pick out some general clothes for you to update your wardrobe, or you can have her help you find outfits for a certain occasion or trip (like New Years Eve or a cruise). Sounds great right? I thought so and decided to try out the service. I filled out the questionnaire and answered all the general questions about sizes, things I liked and didn't like, and color preferences. I also noted that I liked skirts and vintage clothes and felt like I'd been born in the wrong era. Sandii loved that I was looking for vintage styles and told me she had a great time picking out clothes for me. When I came in a couple of days later she had SEVEN complete outfits picked out for me. The outfits even had necklaces, purses, and shoes to match. I had a blast trying on all the outfits and really felt like Sandii had listened when I told her what I was looking for. There were 3 outfits with skirts, 1 with pants, 1 with shorts, and two dresses. I ended up buying two complete outfits - one with the necklace and shoes, one with the necklace, and then I bought two purses. I ended up with 11 pieces all together - 5 pieces of clothing, 2 necklaces, 1 pair of earrings, 1 pair of shoes, and 2 purses for $118. How awesome is that? And it included brands like Ann Taylor Loft, Gap, and Banana Republic. read more

For starters I work a 2nd job in retail so I get working with the public, but when i walked in to a store at 345, under the assumption they close at 7 like posted everywhere, i was a little shocked and embarrassed that the 2 ladies working today (may 19) were SO FAST to kick me out for an out-of-ordinary 4pm closure. I would never talk to someone at my retail job that way even walking in 5 min before closing... they could've been a little nicer. This was my first time stopping in and I felt awkward leaving, the waterford lakes location has the friendliest staff so I'll continue to shop there but I won't be back to this store. I heard about this place from a friend. I recently moved and had a lot of items that I was thinking to just donate but once I researched the concept of this place I thought why not give it a try. We all could use a little extra cash right? I've never sold or bought anything from a consignment like store so I had no idea what to expect. I filled up 2 bags of clothes, purses, shoes and accessories. Some of which I had never worn and still had tags. I was greeted nicely when I walked in and was immediately asked whether I was buying or selling. I said selling and was asked to complete a form. They do explain the process to you if you're unsure. They are pretty much looking for styles that have been in stores in the last 2 years and are gently worn and used. I will say that it was a bit of sensory overload but everything is nearly arranged in their respective categories. Shoes are on top of the racks and they have all styles of shoes. There was one person in front of me that was selling so I was told that it would be about 30 minutes before they could get to my stuff. They gave me an option to look around or to come back to pick up. I chose to look around the store since it was my first time here. If you are looking for a bargain then you need to come here before going to other bargain type stores. Everything is in really good condition and there are some high end labels as well. You could easity walk out with 2 to 3 complete outfits for around $100. They even have an in-store stylist that you can make an appointment with to help you put together several different outfits. I didn't buy anything on this trip but I plan to go back on Black Friday as they are having an awesome sale. Once they were finished going through my bags they let me know they were ready to make me an offer. Although they didnt take everything I walked away with over $85 in cash for stuff that I didnt need taking up space in my closet anymore. I was one happy girl! Store is nice but kind of pricy honestly. Don't even take the time to bring your clothes here because they are PICKY. Brought two large bags of nice blouses there to sell that are name brand, barely worn and some even brand new--they didn't buy a THING. Saying it was out-of-date or whatnot. They didn't accept the clothes I brought in, but some of the items I saw in there for sale were questionable... On top of that, as I was taking the clothes out of the bags at home, I noticed they were still perfectly folded flat on top of each other as I had done before bringing them... so most of clothes they didn't even take out! I've heard they don't give you much of anything when you sell, so I'd find somewhere else to take your clothes. read more

I went into platos closet about a month ago to sell them some clothes. They informed me that's clothes were too mature (Calvin Klein, Express, Lucky, etc) and I should try to sell them to their "sister store" next door. I brought my clothes as well as a coach purse in. At the time they were only buying clothes to stock their inventory, but I did get to browse through what they have. I could not believe the selection they have! It is all amazing expensive brands at a low prices. I haven't had the opportunity to go back and purchase anything, but I plan to this weekend. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I felt as though they jipped me a little bit on the couch purse. They gave me $15 for a brand new, never used, tags still in it coach purse. I have been stalking this place on social media for a while but didn't get a chance to visit until last week. I just went on a shopping spree at another store and needed a complimentary belt to complete the outfit. I always feel bad about buying things new so I thought this would be a great time to stop by Style Encore. Turns out they didn't have the perfect belt in stock but they had so many other cute things that I wanted. If I didn't just spend X amount of dollars somewhere else I would have gone crazy. Awesome clothes for a great price! I recently stopped in when I dropped off clothes next door at Once Upon a Child. Friends have been telling me to stop in and finally I made it! Its a great spot to go to find great deals on clothing! I wasn't sure what size I was due to recent weight loss and I took a ton of clothes in the room and they had no problem with it. I have both sold and bought here and I was definitely impressed. The staff was incredibly sweet! I felt like I was shopping somewhere fancy by the way they treated me. I loved the selection and found tons of great stuff. My faves were a Michael Kors bandage skirt new with tags for $14 and an Arden B dress new with tags for $11. I took in a huge bag of clothes and shoes and they took all but two of my items. I have sold at Platos, Clothes Mentor and some other consignment store up in Chicago and never have had so many items bought. read more

This review is solely for customers that are shopping this store via their Instagram page. The merchandise that Style Encore posts is obviously attention grabbing, and the quality is mostly nice. What leaves a lot to the imagination is their customer service. I simply called in to purchase an item posted on their Instagram account, and was passed around to four ( equally rude) associates before I was told that the item had been sold. If you are local to Orlando you may have more luck ( ie: you won't have to really deal with the poor guest experience via phone ). This store is the answer to my prayers for designer clothing at reasonable prices. The store is well organized & staffed. I found some nice things on offer while shopping & will definitely return. As for selling, what a breeze; you drop off your items w/ staff at the front desk & if there are other drop-offs ahead of you, they call you shortly thereafter to review the offer. It's so much easier than consignment b/c they make you a cash offer up front & assume the risk of whether or not your items sell, rather than having to drop off your items for 3 months & hope to make money. Not to mention, you don't have to deal w/ the hassles of selling online listings: photographing, pricing right, posting, shipping & handling. The place to buy if you are on a budget and want to stay stylish. I have always had a great experience here. The staff have always been friendly! The selections are great and offers a variety of styles. There is something there for all age groups of women. I never leave without an armload of clothing and I can be fussy. I have not seen one stain, anything overly worn or anything overly wrinkled. The best part is when you find something that still has the original tags on it and I get it for a fraction of the cost. 3 stars for an okay second hand store. I've been following their IG page for a while and they always feature items that think are so cute. I've been here twice already and have seen nothing that matches the things they post. I also find that the store is just a little to difficult to navigate. They do offer a lot of clothing, but most items seem to be the same and pieces that are not my style. I will say that their jewelry is always nice and affordable. On both visits, necklaces were my only purchases. The employees have been friendly both times as well. Brands such as J.Crew, Banana Republic, LOFT, Talbots, Anthropologie, Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Coach and Kate Spade don the aisles. Many items sold here are in excellent condition or even ostensibly near new with original tags attached. While I didn't examine the handbags or shoes, the prices on clothing as initially marked can dip as low as four bucks and brow-raise as high as eighty dollars. Currently, they have an ongoing 50% Off Clearance Sale that'll jump to 70% Off at the end of this week. They have a loyalty program where after spending or consigning $200 worth of merchandise, you earn a 10 or 15% (?) discount on your next purchase. read more

The staff at this store is so helpful! I'm not the easiest body type to fit. They are always very friendly and eager to help a busy girl out! They have put together some of my favorite outfits. They have great accessories too. The quality of their clothes is top notch. I don't ever have to look for stains or tears because they have high standards. I work really hard. I have two very active kids that keep me on a budget. There are a lot of demands on my wardrobe so it's nice to have a place I can go that won't break the bank. My friend just had a birthday party at Style Encore and Monica and Sandii did an absolutely incredible job. Monica opened an hour early, made us homemade quiche and mimosas, and went out of her to make us feel so special and pampered! There was a dressing room prepared for each of us and when we got there with a variety of outfits based on our style profiles. Sandii's style picks were spot on for all of us and the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Overpriced!!! They give you very little for items you sell to them! I sold them brand new shoes still in the box never been worn along with other items that were in mint condition, came back in their store just to see what they marked the items at and needless to say I was blown away at what the price was! Mind you I didn't expect to get what I paid for the items but compared to what they offered me and then turn around and mark the price way up! Such a shame!! Will not bring any more items to them! No one standing at the register area greeted me when I walked in (they even looked up at me) but greeted the woman that entered immediately after me. There was one associate who was so friendly and helpful that was working the floor. The cashier was friendly at check out (she was not there when I walked in). This was my first visit to a Style Encore. I did not expect the prices to be that high since they are used but the prices are still cheaper than buying retail. I would definitely return to this store again as I thought they had a good selection. Half the staff was pleasant, half were standoffish hence 3 stars. I love this store. They have tons of name brand like new clothes at a great price. I was in there today and I purchased 2 pairs of shorts one from loft and one from express. I only paid $26.00. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I personally prefer this store over Plato's Closet. The one and only complaint that I have is about the prices of the t-shirts. For instance today while I was in there I found a banana republic tee. They wanted $15.00 for it however I was just at the banana republic over in Waterford Lakes and they had them on a special for $9.00. Now I am a huge fan of Banana Republic so I am often in their stores and on their website and I can tell you that I almost ALWAYS find this exact type off tee for less then $10. If I don't....then I wait a week and they are usually back on special! This store is AWSOME but you do have to know your brands and know what items those brands constantly have on special if you want to save money. read more

I love love love this store!! I have found many cute work outfits, as well as casual weekend outfits. I have also found a number of awesome "night out" dresses, etc. I have sold a little bit here too, mostly stylish clothes or shoes that I ended up not wearing at all, but I have mostly bought.
