It's been awhile since I've seen quyen, my hair was pretty damaged before I came to her. But after I did a big chop and let my hair grow out a little I booked with her! I've also taken my sister who has thick thick dark hair as well and Quyenn knows exactly how to handle it without frying and causing breakage. Going blonde on asian hair is always tricky, but she does it with no brassy tones in sight. She takes care of us by also educating us on products and techniques to ensure long lasting and healthy hair after intense hair processing which not many people do. She tell us what brands to consider an where we can go find it (she doesnt push product for profit, another note for trustworthiness). She also has a positive upbeat attitude which makes conversations fun while shes working on you. I've followed her from her downtown location to her current location and I think its adorable and welcoming. Quyenn was an amazing esthetician and I couldn't be happier with my lashes! She listened to my requests and gave me exactly the look I was going for, which was natural but still voluminous. The application took place in her satellite studio, which was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It's been about 3 weeks since my initial application and while I haven't gone in for a fill this time, the lashes are falling very slowly and actually evenly from each eye. I've never had false lashes last this well for this amount of time, and I've also noticed that when they do fall, they havent been ripping out my natural lashes. This was my first time getting lash extensions, and I decided to go with Quyen based on all the other 5 star reviews alone. My daughter got married this past weekend and I wanted something that looked fairly natural but would make my eyes pop just a little in pictures. I am very fair and have kind of skimpy natural lashes, but being older I didn't want anything too crazy or have people think i was trying to look like I was 25! It was extremely easy to schedule an appointment on the exact day and time I wanted, and Quyen's mobile studio is darling! Immaculate and super comfortable. Honestly, I almost fell asleep when she was doing my lashes, it was that peaceful! If you're looking for a place to get your lashes done, I highly recommend coming here. For starters, go to her website and make an appointment! Make sure you read through the instructions (shower first, no make up) before going in. As soon as I walked into the store, Quyen greeted me and gave me a liability form to fill out. If you've ever had problems with eyelash glue (like when wearing falsies), make sure you let her know. She explained that there were two main types of lashes (Classic vs. Volume set). I had no idea which type to get or how it would look so I explained that I wanted something that was a bit more natural but extended and curled my lashes. We ended up going with a classic set (she has exact details of how long the extensions are and etc) - the total process took about 60 minutes and I'm super happy with the results! Note that in the beginning it might feel ticklish as she's separating your lashes to keep them from clumping together. After treatment: Don't wet your lashes for 12-24 hrs! That's why it's recommended you shower beforehand. It's been about 3 days since I've had my done and my morning routine has never been easier. All I do is use liquid eyeliner and add wings. Avoid using oil-based make up since that'll mess with how long your lashes last. read more
