I called the next day, asked about the price, and cancelled the prescription. Luckily the pharmacy they selected to mail it to me every month hadn't filled it. So I cancelled the prescription. Then I cancelled my next appointment with the clinic. I was in bad shape when I arrived, so I wasn't quick enough to ask about the price, but a $1500 prescription that is almost never covered by insurance is something patients should be warned about. Now I'm worried they'll send it anyway. I'll call the pharmacy again this afternoon.

I got a yeast infection after the treatment which lasted for 1.5 months! I just went to the clinic and said no more biologics and they said they would not give me methotrexate 22.5mg per week due to the fact I had recently undergone cancer treatment for my prostate. They then referred me back to the VA for treatment. I was upset that they did not recognize I underwent radiation treatment as opposed to chemotherapy. They (as usual) treat patients as being stupid - I have had methotrexate treatment for 10 years with no side effects and was just interested in another way to treat my problem. If you have tons of money, maybe this clinic is OK. I would shun them if not. I have been published in the "who's who of American colleges and universities" so I am not stupid! I carefully research everything to do with my health. Bottom line - this clinic would rather I get a latent tuberculosis infection rather than a (possible) problem with my liver (I check my ALT and AST regularly to insure levels are OK). Shun this clinic at all costs as they are after the money and discount patient intelligence and past records.

We took our 9-year-old daughter in as a new patient because she had a few stubborn warts on her finger that wouldn't go away no matter what we tried. Our daughter was extremely nervous because of her negative past experiences with other physicians, but both Dr. Marcus and his staff were so accommodating and tried to make her more comfortable. He treated my daughter's warts, gave us free samples for a "back-up" plan in case we needed it, and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend this facility!
