Mutts & Meows isn't just a health pet supply store, they also have grooming and self wash stations, toys, collars, and leashes for both dogs and cats. Our Shiba Inu has been feeling this TN heatwave and is having her coat blowout. I found Mutts & Meows online and decided to try out their self-serve wash with the Shed Happens package. Mutts & Meows allows walk-ins and we were immediately put into our own bathing room. It was super cute and it had a sliding door and window so employees can see that customers and dogs alike are doing okay while also having privacy from other customers. The bathtub was clean and ready for use. It had an apron, plenty of towels, blueberry facial, ear cleaner, a trash for the cotton balls and hair, and a bin for used towels. The water pressure and temperature were excellent! My only complaint (which is why I put 4 stars) is that the dryer isn't great. I'm a former dog groomer and I hate having a damp dog, let alone, I could barely blast any excess undercoat from her deshed treatment because of the low power. I had to go home and do a lot of brushing to finish the job, which normally, I could do a great deshed on our dog with minimal brushing as long as I had a powerful dryer. Overall, this was a very convenient self-wash and I do like that they use natural products. We treated our dog to some treats after her bath and I also bought a funny sticker, too. For $20, it was a good deal and I will come back for more washes.

He is one of the last standing doctors that truly are treating animals for the love of it. He's not in a fancy building, no fancy high tech equipment, no staff runs it all by himself. Dr. Stoneman got a hold of an ER record and took the time to help us get an emergency med kit to take care of her without going to the ER. A week later, I got another call and the vet had taken the time to review her records and make a recommended plan for long-term treatment of the issue. It is hard to find medical services that will take the time to care - Bluegrass Vet Hospital has taken the time and effort to care. Yes, it's a little pricey - but take a look at how sparse veterinary services are (not many people becoming vets) and to find a great one is a wonderful thing. I am grateful and will continue taking her there for her medical needs.

They gave me a lowball price because I told them due to age I didn't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars. Then we had to do another blood test and still another blood test. She is on monthly meds and the cost of the first prescription was $32 for a month. The second prescription came due and they suggested to get a 15 day supply because it would be a waste of money if the third blood test showed the level was ineffective so I agreed thinking it would be $16 but they charged $26 for the half prescription. When I saw that Kroger fills pet prescriptions I called them and the monthly cost was $12. I called the vet to get a written prescription and they charged $5 to get a written prescription. There seems to be a lot of pricing issues that don't make a lot of sense. I can only imagine what they will charge for the medical records when we change vets.
