I've had more than my share of hair horror stories and had been with the same stylist for over 15yrs after so many bad ones before. But moving to FL, I've been so nervous and the first two stylist i met damage my hair and even my scalp! So I was very apprehensive about any others here. I researched a lot until I found this one. Jen was so responsive and kind while we were scheduling. I had at least two inches of growth, usually having color low lights and pretty blonde highlights over dark brown hair. Plus I have very Long, thick and course hair. Jen was so nice and had a pretty good idea of what I was trying to achieve. Her products smelled so good and I didn't feel any discomfort! She dedicated hours and it paid off for me! Despite my growth, it looks amazing! It looks like I envisioned. If you know anything about lightening and keeping up with it, it's not easy so I will need another session to get it perfect. But even so, you'd never even notice! I finally left a Fl stylist without crying!! I trust her so much with my hair, we even discussed going a little lighter and making slight changes. My hair even feels healthier and smoother after my first wash. Other things a valued about Jen: she didn't try to push any products on me but I loved them so much, I'm going to get some! She also didn't make me feel ugly. She didn't make try to push her own suggestions and really heard what I wanted. She explained everything, including why to have a good trim. Which btw made my ends looks so dramatic cleaner. I could go on and on but hopefully this provides enough reasons to trust Jen! I trust her so much, I'm even taking her recommendations for other services like lash work. * Being asian and white, my hair isn't perfect or stereotypical to either ethnicity. I only bring this up because when I was searching for someone who was good at Asian or difficult hair, I didn't find anything so I'm hoping this helps someone.

Yu-Lee was even considerate to color my hair in such a way my white/grey hairs would blend in while growing out! I found her on IG under the name BlondeByVeronica…read more I left 2 stars for Salty Roots pretty décor otherwise zero stars for Blonde by Veronica's ridiculous prices! My first communication with Veronica was attempting to make an appointment. She was booked into next month but some how managed to get me in that week without going on a cancellation list. I thought I was very lucky to get in right away. My appointment was at 1:30 but I was pushed back three times. By the time I sat in her chair it was 3:30 (2 hours later). First red Flag! I was surprised to meet such a young girl who referred to herself as a hair color expert. I sat in her chair. She complimented my Louis Vuitton bag and we briefly discussed partial highlights with olaplex, a toner, blow out and her suggested add on's. I was prepared to pay 250. for her "expertise". So, when she wrote the price break down on the back of the consent form I was SHOCKED! She wrote a small breakdown totaled at 395.00-450.00 (See pic). Second red flag! I immediately let her know that was not going to work for me. I was prepared to pay 250. tops! She agreed and cut out the add on's. We agreed on partial highlights, toner, trim and blow dry. She started the process at 3:38pm. I know the exact time because I texted my friend while she was mixing the bleach to tell him about her price gouging. We joked that we should quit our jobs and become hair dressers . Veronica and I had good conversation. She asked what I did for a living and we discussed many fun topics. She seemed like a sweet young girl. I felt very relaxed and excited to see the results of my hair. She placed foils on the crown of my head (not the back or sides, just on the top with a few on the front of my hairline. After sitting under heat for some time, we went to the bowl to rinse out the bleach. While she was washing and toning my hair she asked me what kind of cut I wanted. I said, just a trim, nothing fancy. She left me at the bowl for another 10 mins or so then came back Here's where things go left.... When she returned to do the final rinse her energy had clearly changed! She seemed anxious and in a bug hurry. She asked me if I wanted a blow out OR trim? I asked her to repeat herself a few times because I was not understanding. I was truly concerned and figured maybe something happened where she had to leave in a hurry. This wasn't the case as she rudely made it clear she had spent too much time on my hair (2 hours and 20 mins) and her time is money! So, she could only trim OR blow dry but not both! Another red flag! I asked her why she didn't tell me that during the consultation? She had no reply but kept saying she didn't charge me enough money! Since when is 100. per hour not a good enough wage? Something very suspicious going on here. ok now I'm pissed. We started bickering at the bowl! I reminded her I was her last appointment and she pushed back my time 2 hours later! Being in the service industry for the last 30 years I let her know real quick that I was not going to be treated disrespectfully and that she was being very unprofessional! After spending less than 3 hours in this salon, I left angered with wet hair! As I was leaving, she sarcastically said "good luck!" Here is the bottom line, This girl wants to charge Hollywood prices in St Pete. In hindsight, it's evident she is only on the hunt for clients to pay her exorbitant prices! Her money grubbing, price gouging is pitiful and desperate! I do NOT recommend Veronica!

I paid a significant amount for hair extensions and had issues almost immediately after the install. The color match was not what I expected, and more importantly, the installation itself caused extreme scalp tension and discomfort. I experienced redness, pulling, headaches, and migraines from how tight the extensions felt. I reached out multiple times trying to resolve things calmly and professionally. I even offered to return the hair, but instead of working toward a reasonable solution or partial refund, I was advised to file a dispute through Klarna. After continuing to try communicating, I was eventually blocked. I understand extension installs are expensive and results can vary, but I believe professionalism and customer service matter just as much as the install itself. I would strongly encourage future clients to discuss refund policies in writing beforehand and pay close attention to how their scalp feels after installation. This review is simply my honest personal experience as a client.
