When I first got the card, I tried to schedule always fully booked or they are not taking any new client. Then I just forgot about it. I got it, I shouldn't have waited for so long. Apparently there was an owner change, my hair stylist can't swipe the gift card. So I paid my stylist separately while working with the owner to see what can be done. I shared with the owner, I'm not asking for a refund, just looking to see if there is something can be done so both of us can be happy. First, she denied it was from the store even it has same name and same address. Then she asked me for a proof of purchase and told me how would she know if I didn't get it from trash can... if I got it from trash can, I wouldn't pay for the stylist in the first place. Or maybe she is referring to her business is trash, only accept card from trash can. Too bad mine wasn't, dang it!

Another, less mentioned but not less important quality is that she is trustworthy and encouraging, remembering details and asking about other aspects of your life, then often offering ideas that improve the quality of it. Sandy is a gem and although challenging to get in with initially, once she gets to know you, she pre books for future appts, as many as 3 ahead to keep you on a schedule. The location, between Maple and Ash on Gardner, makes it a snap to get downtown or back up to the South Hill.
