My wife totaled her 2020 Ford Fusion so we were on the hunt for a basic SUV all we really wanted was a bigger screen for navigation purposes. We told them over and over what our payments were ($377) with an incredible and unbeatable interest rate (.9%). We were realistic in that we probably were NOT going to get that rate again. That was okay. We knew that going in. We started with saying that we were interested in an escape or eco sport. Something on the cheaper end. Obviously there is limited inventory so neither of those options were available. We were shown a 2021 Nissan Kicks. - valued brand new at about 19.5K. Right in our price range. There were no floor mats, the car was dirty but had the basics of what we needed. We test drove it and started with numbers. (The real fun part). Elias was open about how at this dealership they AGREE on a price. Which we settled on 24.8K. In my opinion STILL overpriced but it's fine. We were told "at this point we just want to get rid of this car". Tyler, the manager came in after I countered and basically said they couldn't go down any further. That they would then lose money on it. He said "I don't ever want to get someone in with finance and then their payments are double what they thought." When we moved to finance, I started to get cold feet. Yes the maintenance package and the warranty was great but it would make our payments $502. Our fusion payments again, we're $377. So we were already over budget. Not once did finance give us the total of the car. They focused on ONLY telling us how much our payments would be. I mentioned 3 times how I wanted to come back on Monday with a down payment and was basically dismissed. And was told "well the difference would be $50". Doesn't matter. The moment someone says I'd like to come back, that's a hint. Or at least it should be. When I finally got all the paperwork together the next day imagine my surprise when I saw the total amount financed was 35,000. For a car that OFF THE LOT costs 19.5K. This car was used with 4800 miles. Not to mention with interest the total amount of the car would be almost FORTY THREE thousand dollars. That is more than my F-150 cost brand new. When we called to ask about possible return of the vehicle since this was WAY out of our price range, finance said "we don't accept returns". Tyler, the manager said "let me get more information and I will get back to you soon" ...2 days later and I still have not heard back. Bottom line is, it wasn't a horrific deal but we definitely could have gotten something else for $502 a month. We just should have taken our time and resisted the pressure.

We got rid of that car. But now my car is 25+ years old, and sometimes, it needs a tow. I couldn't remember the name of Sergio's and my mechanic retired so I couldn't ask him. I've been using other services. the drivers for the ones I used were awesome, but the services themselves, not so much. However, I was driving by Sergio's new place, recognized the font and name and made a note of it. So glad I did that! Because today, I needed a tow. Well, OK, maybe I didn't need a tow because the car still runs and I drove it to work. But that was some scary drive where I felt like the car was going to lean right over into the street. I was leery that it would make the trip to my new mechanic. It probably would have. Maybe. But I remembered Sergio's! Why risk driving a car that might lose a wheel as I'm driving when I can have it towed? So I called, and they were as great as I remembered! Not o that, but the tow truck showed up 15 minutes after I called. Butch was here so quick! and my car was at the mechanic's in under 1 hour from call to drop off. Quick! They were so kind when all I had to pay them with on me was a debit card with insufficient funds (I had transferred more money onto it to pay for the repairs and tow, it just wasn't registering yet) and just enough cash to pay the tow charge. I never carry credit cards or large amounts of cash But it was done, and we're all good, and Sergio's is the best. I am so glad I remembered them! Especially since my car is old and needs repairs and I'm still unwilling to pay more for a new car than I did for my house..I have to suck it up someday, but today - thanks to Sergio's. Sergio's. Not only did they have the best prices around, but they also waited on me to arrive to pick them up. They were not mounted, which was a slight problem for me. However, they informed me that they had a dealership where we were headed, and that if I was able to have the set there, first thing in the morning, they would get it done for me. So, we showed up to Jones offroad & Marine in Afton at 8 AM the next morning, they start putting the wheels & tires together. We ran into a major issue; the wheels were marked wrong on the box from the manufacture. Wille at Jones Offroad & Marine called the owner and let him know the big issue, without hesitation the OWNER sends a guy from Jones to Grand Lake with the right wheels, has them put together and then brings them to us at our campsite that is well over 30 minutes from the Grand Lake store. Not only did Jones Offroad save our trip, but they also earned a lifelong customer that will send them business for anything offroad or marine related.
