I came with a friend for an early Mother's Day treat to ourselves based on the recommendation of @phoebe_eats. My friend did the $99 Spring Combo special, which includes 35-minutes of facial & skin detox, 20-minute neck & shoulder massage, and 35-minute hair wash and blow dry. I mainly wanted a massage because I'd be doing another scalp hair treatment soon. Thankfully they have massages too! They have a 30-minute relaxing massage and 45-minute deep massage. I went for the deep one. The lady at front kept trying to convince me to add a hair wash or change to a combo, but since I have been needing a deep tissue massage, I stuck with that. You pay first before the services. For credit card payments, they charge a 3% fee. However, they also take Zelle and Venmo and have the barcodes easy accessible in the seating area. They also have warm herbal tea and snacks, which is nice. There is a locker room for you to change into a robe. The locker has a key to store your items, which is nice so you can be sure your things will be secure. Only one person can use the room at a time to change so be aware that if you go at a busy time, you may have to wait and your appointment time won't start on time. For my massage, I was apprehensive if it would really be a deep massage since this was mainly a hair and skincare place. But I was not let down - my masseuse was very skilled and strong. She worked out the knots in my neck and loosened the tension in my back. It costs more than my usual massage place, it was worth it for being at a hair/skincare salon, where you could also add other services if you want. The bench has a waterproof cover since it's meant for hair and skin services. It's not as comfortable as a massage bench since the face hole is smaller. Also the hot herbal oil used for the massage doesn't have the oiliness of other massage oils so there is a lot of friction during the massage. However, when used for my temple/face massage, it has a nice relaxing scent and is nice that it is natural. My masseuse was very good at checking if I was comfortable, and the bench had nice scents on it and on the hot towel, which is a nice touch! Every moment of the massage felt like it was used to the max so I was glad that the time was fully used. read more

With the rise of headspas in the area, it is so overwhelming to choose where to go. My friend chose this one and I'm so glad she did. Their earliest appt is at 9:30AM. Which on hindsight... we should have booked maybe a 10AM since they were still prepping and setting up and we didn't get seen until closer to 10. Ample and easy parking. Cute lobby with complimentary herbal iced tea. They escort you to the changing room and give you a towel gown and slippers. Pick a locker, store your things, and take the key with you. We got the $99 Therapeutic hair wash. It is a 1 hr 35 min session that includes hair wash and scalp massage, keratin treatment, neck, arms, and shoulder massage, face wash, hot stones, hot oil, and they dry your hair at the end. You can add a 15 min foot massage for $15 extra. Had a great experience here. My tech, Van, was amazing. She made sure to check in with me and see what pressure was okay for the massage. Ieft with my scalp so shiny and clean. Felt so fresh and clean. 100% would do this again. Cash for tip is preferred. Just a tip, if your beds are located towards the front of the shop... it gets a little loud hearing everyone in the lobby. If that may bother you, ask for a bed farther back. read more

Found this place on instagram and then saw the reviews and I knew I had to come and try. We called ahead to make a reservation for three people at 11. You have to leave a deposit on reserve your time. We came for my sister's birthday. We were greeting upon entering and then shown the menu. Once there you get to pick and ask any questions you might have. You pay before going in and then you get taken to the back where the lockers are at. You change and get ready to have your life transformed. My girl Cat PUT IN WORK! Her hands are so magical. I felt so relaxed that I felt bad that she was asking if I was okay and I didn't answer but I was just so relaxed. My package included the facial, upper chest and arms massages along with the scalp massage and blow dry. They use hot stones, warm towels and a lot of great smelling products. As you relax you can hear the relaxing music play in the background. They blow dry your hair and then you are finished, you feel like a brand new person. Parking: Super hectic on the weekend, it's a free lot I did the hour and half and I really felt like it was 45 minutes of actual touching. A lot of this was just waiting around to be set up which gives you time to relax but I was really hoping for a massage. However, it lacked a lot of the touching and pressure I was looking forward to. As far as ambience, it was nice and dark but not too dark. It wasn't loud and it was relaxing. Looking around didn't feel super luxurious but it all makes up in price. Ever since last year, I've really been into self-care. Specifically, doing things to pamper myself. When I was in Bali and then Japan, I was constantly looking for a massage and hair spa areas. This year my focus has been on hair spas. Luckily, it seems like Southern California has a plethora of them, especially in the Garden Grove/Westminster area. Without any expectations but high hopes, I looked around for great value with comparable service. After searching multiple places, I decided to try Su Beauty Skincare. Walking in you'll notice the high ceilings and beautiful glass windows making up the entrance. Being in the heart of Westminster this place also mirrors the culture of the Vietnamese demographic. You'll see a small shrine in the corner with offerings, large wall behind the counter filled with beauty products, and a single opaque door leading to the spa space. When you wait you'll look at a menu for their different services and the prices for them along with time. I studied their offerings ahead of time so I knew what I wanted. I chose their second least expensive service which was the Herbal Hair Wash. it gave a great amount of services for 80 minutes utilizing the falling water ring all for $79. I thought since this is my first time doing this I don't want to do the most basic but I also want a baseline so not too extravagant. No cameras allowed inside but that makes sense considering it is a tranquil space. The lights are low and before you lie down they take you to a changing space so you can remove your top area and cover yourself with a robe. The actual hair spa treatment was phenomenal. There were several times where I dozed off, but I remained vigilante in staying awake because I wanted to feel everything. The right amount of pressure was used and there's something so euphoric with scratching that insatiable itch on your scalp or massages in the right spot on the neck. I loved every moment of it. The time didn't feel too short or too long either. It was just the right amount for the services I received. You can pay in multiple ways, including how you want to tip them. I didn't have cash (I totally forgot before going there) but you can tip your spa people using Zelle or Venmo. You can also use those same payments for the service if you don't want to pay with card. It also means you pay less since if you pay with credit card there is a 3% fee included. I had a great experience here and it definitely refined my idea of what to expect for a head spa. Since this is my first time I don't know what the highest highs or lowest lows can be but now I do know what a great experience is. I can't wait to experience it again. read more

After you check in, you are asked to change into a robe and their slippers. It's easier if you either don't wear a bra with the robe or drop the bra straps so that they can massage your upper chest and shoulder area without the straps in the way. After you lay down they immediately start with brushing your hair - which feels very nice honestly. The process after this gets a little fuzzy as i began driftint into a relaxing stupor. Hayley did my massage today and did such an amazing job! My scalp, face, arms, hands, chest, neck/shoulders/upper back and feet were all massaged today. My friends and i did the VIP massage hair wash package. Hayley even was able to get some stubborn knots out of my shoulders!! The hot stones were a nice touch as well. The keratin hair treatment always makes my hair nice and soft for a good week (this is part of a promo theyre currently running which my friends and I love!) What an Amazing Experience! Probably the best deal in orange county. $95 for 1h30 ! They also have a promotion on the day I went: free facial detox. My technician to day was Ashley ( Ánh). She completed 15 step treatment with such a high skilled level of training, not just facial and head massage but also arm and shoulder massage. Some places you feel rushed even after paying for a decent service, but no Ashley listened to her customer and really took the time to make sure that every step of the treatment is PERFECT. You can tell that they used such high quality products! From the facial machines to the face mask, hot massage oil, guasha. I cant recommend this place enough since I love them so much haha. I had such a great experience at Su Beauty! The headspa was super relaxing -- the scalp massage felt amazing, and my hair definitely feels healthier and softer now. The therapist was really attentive and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The body massage afterward was just what I needed. They worked out all the tension, and I felt completely relaxed by the end. The whole vibe of the place was calm and peaceful, which made it even better. Plus, they always have really good specials and promotions that make it easy to treat yourself without breaking the bank. Sophie was the sweetest ever and made for one of the most incredible experiences ever! My first time experiencing and I don't think I will come back. The appointment at 5:30pm didn't start til 5:45pm ish and already paid ahead. There were no separate room nor privacy when changing your clothes, had a very strong fabric softener smell when your face in the whole with a thin layer of paper on your face. Feeling awkward and uncomfortable when ppl walked back and forth watching you. In the meantime my masseuse didn't know what service I paid and how long is my service. Then during massage I felt she massage differently on each side of my upper back, and felt my skin experiencing burning sensation either not enough oil or inexperience. I feel that she didn't know what she were doing, came from me gone a lot of places for my massage so I know the difference. Anyhow I had to stop half way because I was very irritated and not happy. My Friends took me here for my birthday. Not bad for the price. We did the 11 steps 70 minute treatment. It was not like the other places I've been too. You're completely laying down and they give you robes so they are able to give you a neck and shoulder massage. They have a small dressing room and lockers to put your personal belongings. It was good. I'd definitely go back... I was at the table next to the restrooms so there was a scent at first but after a while it went away. 5 for value 4 for products 5 service 3 for ambiance/environment I found this spot through an Instagram ad as its obvi IG knows what I'm looking for lol. I was drawn in for their $1 = 1 minute deal with the goal of getting the $60 package. When I arrived, they of course upsell me to the 80 min package for $75 but they included a bonus treatment which I chose the detox skin, valued at $45. There were many many steps. We started with the detox skin step which is warming circular machine which was extremely relaxing . Next, she started with a scalp scratcher to lightly massage my head. She brushed my hair and then moved on to massage my face. What I appreciated is the focus on releasing tension in the temples which is where a lot of stress is stored. She proceed to massage my neck and shoulders and included hot stones. Next was the hair wash which was unfortunately was too intense for me. They wash your hair the "Vietnamese way" with hard nails. Was painful but I soldiered through. I wasn't aware they wash you hair twice otherwise I would've asked her to go lighter. What's cool is that you can smell the herbal water as they wash your face, neck, shoulders and chest. The falling water ring was relaxing too. Lastly, we moved to another room to dry my hair. I was concerned a heat protectant was not applied before blow drying my hair and instead of using a brush, hands were used. Hair serum was applied afterwards. She told me the detox machine pulled out a lot of gunk but because I was so relaxed, she didn't want to wake me up to show me but next time she will.. I did notice my skin was a lot brighter and smoother after my facial. She gave the best massages as the pressure was great. Next time I will ask to be more gentle with the hair wash. Where they provide the treatments is in one large room where each station is separated by curtains so yes, you can hear everything. The other employees do speak softly but there was a young child running up and down the salon which interrupted the peace. read more
