I've eaten here several times over the years. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it's great! This past visit, I ordered ~$250 worth of food for catering. There aren't many options for catering lunch in Rawlins/Sinclair area, but Su Casa is prepared with an established catering menu. The team were really great to work with from the start to the finish. I recommend ordering the day before to give the kitchen time to prepare. I selected a tray of beef and chicken tacos, flautas, green chile, guacamole, pico de gallo, beans & rice and sopapillas for desert. I was very pleased at the execution of the order and everyone really enjoyed the lunch. There wasn't anything I wouldn't order again -- the homemade salsa is always a great addition to any order. Just the right amount of heat. If you know this part of the country, there are not many food options. I've always found this restaurant to provide good value given the rather remote nature of the town (Sinclair). I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. read more

Hubby had chili rellenos that were tiny & minimal cheese. Smothered in green but flavor also was stale tasting. Felt & tasted like everything was at least a few days old. Not worth the calories. The best pico de gallo I have ever had. It is worth going just for that. Su Casa is fantastic. Great food. Good prices. Very fast service (we waited only about 10 minutes after ordering to get our food). And friendly employees. I got their chili relleno (a fried green chili) and really enjoyed it. For the relleno you have the choice of green or red sauce. I asked which was better and she recommended the green, which is what I went for. After taking all the orders the waitress took a moment to let me know the green sauce did have some pork in it, in case I was vegetarian (having just ordered a vegetarian dish). It was so nice of her to ask! Most places would not do that. Being flexitarian I still got the green sauce and it was outstanding. Not like any verde sauce, it was almost more of a bean sauce. The beans and rice that came with the dish were good. I was only able to finish one of the relleno so needed a box, which was unfortunately styrofoam. They give you a started of chips and salsa for free, which is nice. And I ordered a side of pico de gallo to go with them too, which was very worth while at $0.65 My wife got boiled bean stuffed sopapilla and it was also tasty. Definitely should get it smothered though. We also got a side of jalapeño fries. They must have just had a tiny bit of jalapeño seasoning. They were good, but nothing special. Holy moly! After eating on the road for 2 weeks, this place was an absolute find on I-80 between Rawlins & Laramie. Just say "YES" to the green chili sauce...got mine on the side and ended up eating it like soup! Pico was fresh and delicious. Guac was smooth and yummy. We were traveling 80 mph and trying to dodge the construction cones on I-80 when the hunger bug bit. We found Su Casa café listed on yelp and thought we would give it a try. Good decision! Sinclair has a massive refinery and that's all we had noticed when we passed the town previously. This time we traveled a very short distance off the freeway and made it to this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything is cooked fresh here and the food is really good. The setting is very modest, but the people are friendly. I got a small combination which was actually quite a bit of food. Beans and rice both above average. Guacamole made onsite was nice. Not bad food, but definitely not Mexican. I ordered steak burritos, and they were tiny little things in a taco sized tortilla. Full of tender meat, but flavored more like something you would get in an English pub. Sprinkled with cheese and had a mushroom sauce. No sign of any other flavor, and definitely no chilis of any kind in it, in spite of what the responder says, Anyway, I'm from California, where there are more Mexicans than anything else, and the competition is huge. Therefore the Mexican food is great, and authentic. This is a place I would only eat at again if there was truly nothing else around.
