The pizza was tasty and the spaghetti and meatballs was good. 2 huge, well seasoned meatballs made the spaghetti! The service was excellent! The waitress was kind and attentive to every thing! This is the worst customer service and serving i have EVER experienced. This is our second chance review too. The first time we dined in, cute back patio area we were excited to eat at. Waitress walked us up there sat us, handed us our menus then took a personal call about her daughter for about 20 or so minutes. Standing right beside us by the fence talking on the phone. We just sat there and waited, no drinks, no nothing, no high chairs like we asked for as soon as we walked in, extremely unprofessional! When she finally got to us it was still a down hill slide from there. She was super slow, forgetful, hardly came to the table and when she did, she'd have an excuse every time of why she didn't have what we'd asked for. BUT the food was decent especially for the small town so i figured maybe it was just a bad experience so I'd give it another go. So tonight we ordered pizza to go. They deliver they said, i called and placed the order at 5 but told them don't rush and it could be delivered at 6:30. She said ok thank u so much and took my order. I ordered 2 large SPECIALTY pizzas! And the appetizer plate. One large meat lovers which was fine. And one large supreme b it i wanted to add artichokes and fresh tomato to it. Then the app sampler plate. My total was $64 something w delivery. I asked why it was so high because the menu online for zmenu said it should have been much cheaper. She explained it was outdated and i said ok i understood. Soooooo here we are at 7, 30 minutes past deliver and 2 hours after i initially ordered and no sign of the food. So i called 9 times! Yes 9 times before i got someone to pick up. The girl who took my order, which she is friendly, said they were out for delivery and she was very sorry. They were slammed and she had 2 more orders out w mine and should be there soon. So i waited again, pizza arrived at 7:20 something. So an hour late, and the girl apologized again. I honestly think it was the same girl who took the order, i think she was trying to correct a mistake that was made because she was explaining herself again about the busy part and other 2 deliveries and that she hurried to bring it. I don't know this but think this. I said thank you and that was it. THEN i open the boxes.... and lol the pizza and food is all cold. I mean like cheese not even melty anymore cold. The appetizer plate was pitiful, especially for over $11 and again cold. The supreme pizza was literally cheese w a few bellpeppper chunks and olives on it and that's it. Lol but the meat lovers was right haha, just again, cold. So I'd save yourself $64 plus dollars and a 2:30 hour wait, 1 hour late technically since i asked for it to be here at 6:30 and a lot of phone time, well calls because no one answers haha. Decent pizza, not all that, but good, but not worth the BS. I never yelp bad reviews because it's hard unless u go back over and over, but this is just ridiculous. Has a lot of potential too especially in an area that doesn't offer much variety of food but severely lacking in service I'm coming back to edit my review! I have not eaten here yet again, BUT the owner reached out to me and was so so sweet! Very professional and went above and beyond to provide good customer service. She explained that this must have been a bad experience or day and that she was so sorry. That they work hard and take pride in their business. She was nothing short of apologetic and extremely professional and kind. She offered me to come back in for a meal on the house and to please let them make it right and a refund. Solid 4 star pizza. Nothing mind blowing but pizza done well. As you know dear Yelper, Rawlins isn't particular known for it's culinary reverie. There are a handful of places to eat in town. Here at Shogunz you can get a solid pizza at a fair price washed down with cold beer on draft (including a selection of a few nice craft beers from the PNW). I ordered the Supreme and wasn't disappointed. Crust is NOT soggy -- firm, just like I like it. The only downside here is that the place has poor ventilation and it must be pushing 90 degrees inside. OK on a freezing cold day but not so good during the summer. Pizza comes out quickly, service is good, I'd definitely go back next time I'm stuck in Rawlins :) read more

Arrived in Rawlings around 5 on a Friday night. Found out the town has a serious staffing issue in restaurants and hotels. Walked out of two restaurants when we were told the wait would be an hour or more. Plenty of open tables, no servers. Called and ordered a pizza from Shogunz. When we picked it up the place was busy and appeared to be fully staffed. Took our pizza to go and we enjoyed it back at our hotel with our own beer and wine. I was pretty disappointed with the pizza we got from here. We ordered extra pineapple, were charged for a double topping, and there were about two pineapple pieces on each slice. The quality of food and pizza, and atmosphere is top notch, however their beer is extremely overpriced, I wouldn't really subtract a star for that, but given the excessiveness of how much it's over priced I had to. This was a really great find in a small town with very limited eating choices. We have a tough time because we're vegetarians and are pretty picky. We ordered the Vegetarian pizza (shocking, I know), and loved the results. The sauce was good, the tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms were very fresh, and there was just the right amount of cheese. The server apologized in advance that they had run out of artichoke hearts, but put more peppers and mushrooms on to make up for this. We thought the beer choices were great too! They have tap beer though we didn't drink any. We were doing take out. The only downer was it was really hot in the restaurant and that's why we did take out. They don't have air conditioning. Pretty uncomfortable inside but the food was totally worth it. Suggestion: get a couple of portable plug in air conditioners.
